When the company I work for moved to a new warehouse, we hired Choice Locksmithing to redo all the keys. He was on-​time, professional, and the locks and handles he used were excellent quality. We had to have everything redone as we had no keys to the interior doors and the existing exterior door locks were poor quality and not all were ADA compliant. Everything was redone promptly and a master key was made in addition to the individual keys. It’s been over a year and we are still happy with everything. I would use them again and fully recommend them to any one in the area.

Needed to have my front door re-​keyed at my new business and contacted Choice since I like to support local business. Called to make an appointment for the next day and the owner Jeff even offered to come out the same day! Very professional and worked quickly to get my locks taken care of. Great prices and even got the Unilocal discount. Definitely referring people to Jeff and Choice for lock security.

Bought a new home and had Jeff come change all of the locks. Friendly, professional, arrived on time, cleaned up after the installation. I highly recommend Choice Locksmithing. Would definitely call him again.

I locked myself out of my house and also was locked in my back yard (a little hard to explain). I pulled my phone out and searched on Unilocal and found this company with all excellent reviews. Jeff came out right away, I was impressed and very pleased. He was very polite and professional. His prices are very good.

I called Jeff based on many positive reviews on Unilocal.They were absolutely correct! He and his associate met me at the appointed time and handled a very weird broken lock situation I had. They were friendly, courteous, efficient and the charge was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to call Choice Locksmithing again!

After accidentally locking our only working remote inside our garage, replacing the battery in the backup remote (which still didn’t work), calling our landlord to see if he had a key or remote (which he didn’t, and said he could come by «maybe sometime this weekend» to look at it), and calling our HOA to see if they could help us (they couldn’t), our car was still trapped in the garage and we had no choice but to call a locksmith. Luckily the HOA recommended Jeff at Choice Locksmithing & Security. We gave him a call, and he was able to come by that evening to take a look.
Who wants to call a locksmith they found on Unilocal or the Yellow Pages? Or worse, a handyman from Craigslist? Not me. I want someone who’s been recommended by people I trust. After all, this is about protecting my prized possessions and giving people access to my valuables. If you’re sketchy and trying to break into someone’s else’s place, Jeff is going to ask you for appropriate ID and proof of ownership, instead of helping you commit a felony. He’s a certified locksmith, not some scam artist with a set of lock picks.
Jeff showed up at the end of his business day, without charging us for an emergency fee, equipped with a full-​service high-​tech locksmithery in the back of his sweet, fully loaded Mercedes van, ready to get this problem solved NOW.
$ 95 later, the garage had been unlocked using a brand new key, made on site, and we had 2 keys in our possession in case of further emergencies. It might seem expeez, but just try calling the garage door specialists. Yikes! Jeff also showed us how to program a new remote, which we are off to purchase tomorrow morning, as ours is a piece of junk (thanks for nothing, Sears).
My husband ended up having a near 2-​hour conversation with him because he was a super cool guy, and they had a lot in common. They were in full smitten technie tool-​loving bro-​mance, it seemed, but I had to shut it down due to starvation. This was, after all, the dinner hour, and we needed to take that car out of the newly liberated garage to get some groceries!
$ 95 might seem pricey, but as Sears was quoting us $ 75 just to come out and look at it (without even promising any work would be done), we figured a locksmith was a better bet. Jeff’s mobile van did it all, right on site, and he offered us some good tips for added garage security as well.
While we will probably never end up locking ourselves out of our garage again (fingers crossed!), Jeff is definitely our first choice for any other lock-​related issues in San Diego. 5 stars for service and customer service.

I just bought a house that was a short sale, and needed to re-​key the locks as soon as escrow closed. I called Jeff at 5:30 pm on a Friday, and he said he could meet me at 7:30 after he finished up another job. He called me as he was rolling up, exactly on time. He re-​keyed the locks in 20 minutes & made me four new keys for my new house! Super courteous and pricing was reasonable. Thanks Jeff!

I would NEVER recommend this company! The place I work at apparently had used him in the past, so when they called him for help with my key to the front door I figured it wouldn’t be a problem. I was working by myself both times he came to address the issue with my key. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day or irratated at my boss or what, but I have never had a man be so rude to me! He literally spoke to me like a child when making me test my key. There were customers around so getting spoken to in such a condecending tone was very embarassing. I was so shocked and confused when he told me to call my boss and tell her that I was the problem and that he had done his job. As he got into his van to leave, I wanted to cry. I have never been treated so poorly. Needless to say, I called my boss and told her what had happened. We will NOT be using this company in the future.

Quick, reasonable, courteous. Overall, excellent. Called to open two lock doors on a Sunday evening he showed up in less than an hour. Can’t ask for better than that.

Just like the other reviewers, Jeff was just great! He was super nice, extremely fast and very reasonable to change the locks on my new place. I will definitely use him again!

I locked my keys in my car when I was in Santee and called Choice Locksmithing and Jeff the owner was there in 15 minutes to get me out of a jam. He was quick to the scene and very nice to deal with. Definitely recommend them.

Ahhhh. It’s just before 4pm on 12.31.2010 and I’ve just realised I lost my house keys.
Freaking out that I might not find a Locksmith that is available on new years eve, I turn to Unilocal for help.
After several no answers and answering machines later, finally find a biz that answers the phone in a courteous professional manner… and he says he can be here in 30min, and further asks if that’s ok. Hells yeah!
Exactly 30min later, he arrives with the van. An hour later, he he’s in the door with the 3keys I requested.
He needed to change the cylinder inside, three spare keys, service fee and labour turned out to be $ 111.10. I expected more since a lot if Locksmith will take full advantage of the situation, but not Jeff.
Jeff certainly made a bad situation better, in a short period of time with out charging an arm and a leg.
If you ever want a professional Locksmith who won’t bleed you dry, use these guys, you won’t regret it.

Jeff was absolutely great. He re-​keyed my door, explaining the process and my options, and why my previous key wasn’t secure at all. He also installed the other locks I asked him to very quickly and professionally. Everything was done in under a couple of hours. Thanks!
