I wish I could give 0 stars. Let me just say this for those of you who are engaged and are starting to make registries. DO NOT register at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Not only did Bed Bath & Beyond have terrible customer service, but they’re terrible with returns AND THEY LIED TO US. They’re trying to push registries which is smart, however, we started our registry in store because we thought it would be fun and they TOLD US «When you return an time we’ll give you the full price back in store credit». They were so friendly and helpful when we initially MADE the registry but it was a drastic switch to the EXACT OPPOSITE when we returned. They wouldn’t give us the same price back when we try to return items, because they said that the person who bought this for us could of bought it six months before when it was on sale for 10 dollars even though we were only registered for a month. On top of that they felt the need to take off 20% because they have a 20% coupon that our friend could’ve used plus another 10% coupon they could’ve used even though you can’t use two coupons in one purchase because they won’t let you to begin with. So basically Bed Bath & Beyond was trying to get as much money out of us as they could and didn’t have the decency to be kind about it in their explanation. This is definitely not something I expected. Especially when Bed, Bath, and Beyond is so expensive to begin with. I say this because, although it may not be your experience, instead of getting the money that someone else ALREADY PAID FOR an item so you can use your store credit on other items in the store (so their not really losing money, so why?) they will take 80% of that money. So you’re friends and family basically handed over 80% of the gift cost for a gift to the greediest home goods chain I’ve ever been to. Thanks Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Now I know to tell everyone never to register at your store or even shop there. Ever. You can try to hide behind whatever you want but you are taking money that isn’t yours and having employees right it off as «policy» even though it’s not possible to get that much of discount.

Just wondering why this store is so popular? First time being in a Bed Bath & Beyond, and honestly it was okay. Store was huge, tons of stuff, but prices were real pricey! $ 25 for a silverware holder, c’mon now! Left and went to Ross down the street and got things I needed for much cheaper!

The customer service here ROCKS! I needed specific NFL merchandise which they didn’t have in the store. They ordered it for me and had it shipped to my house. In one visit to this location no less then 4 people asked if I needed helped finding anything. I love that they walk you over to where the merchandise you want is. Not just pointing to the general area like at other places. Audrianna is my favorite cashier! Always welcoming and friendly. Gavin helped me one time and he was great-I’m sorry I can’t remember the other sales person who ordered merchandise for me. This has the best customer service I’ve experienced at a Bed, Bath and Beyond!

Wow. The customer service at this store is amazing. Sean went out of his way to make sure I not only got what I came on for I watched as he assisted other customers throughout the store as well as other employees. He is a real asset to BB&B

I saw a dishware set online and that this location had it in stock. We walked in and stood at the door for a few seconds, trying to get our bearings. The store is smaller than the Mission Valley location we usually go to with a very different layout. MICHELLE came over and asked if we needed help finding anything. I explained to her the 4 piece set and she immediately knew what I was referring to. While walking through the store MICHELLE asked about my reasons for choosing this particular set and our family size. She became explained the difference in materials with durability. The set I thought I wanted would cost more by the time I bought enough settings for the whole rainbow tribe and wouldn’t last as long. MICHELLE showed us other full sets and even matching seperates to consider with no sales pressure. She was just knowledgeable and educating us. I’m very happy with our purchase! MICHELLE knows what it means to get and keep a happy customer!

I came here for an Oxo Avocado slicer. That’s right, an avocado slicer… and this 3-​in-​1 avocado slicer was everything I needed in a an avocado slicer… but this review isn’t about the avocado slicer. This is about Bed Bath and Beyond, a place that you *usually* wouldn’t be able to drag me into… at least, not alive anyway.
With that said, this place has a ton of stuff. As far as food utensils go, they have just about everything you’d need to prepare it, serve it, eat it, cook it, grill it or kill it. I’m talking walls and shelves jam packed full of cooking accessories, appliances and other cookware.
If that isn’t enough (it is for me) they have tons of bed accessories and furniture and all that crap jazz for your home as well. However, I’m not an expert in that field nor did I come in for that so I can’t give you an extensive run down on the details. Maybe I need to watch more HGTV. Anyway, the store seemed pretty big, not IKEA big but definitely big enough.
I only had to deal with customer service reps at check out but the one that I did was extremely friendly while trying to balance multiple customer questions and constantly ringing telephone. Overall it was a pleasant experience. There was only one person in front of me at the time and I was in and out quickly so I can’t complain about anything.
Seriously, this was my first time stepping into a Bed Bath & Beyond and I’m not saying that I’ll be a frequent customer here but I don’t have any issues shopping here when I occasionally need something they sell. They have enough here to keep me happy so I guess that makes me a fan.

A great store to go to if you are looking for a particular bedding or kitchen item. In particular, they have a huge selection of kitchen items. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Sometimes prices are a bit high though, so bring your coupons!

Bridal showers & weddings can be such a headache! Until today-​Easiest shopping experience ever! Brian not only assisted me with printing out my friend’s wedding registry, he broke down the list to help me pick out the perfect gift. Then even walked me to the item I chose & picked it right out for me! When does that happen?! Then– he told me to visit Marilyn at checkout after I cried to him how horrible I am at wrapping. Marilyn greeted me with such a kind sweet smile & was so happy to wrap the gift for me! She was humming & smiling happy to help wrap the present. And it looked– amazing. I am never shopping anywhere else for household items. Go see these guys. They are a time saver and the epitome of proper customer service!

My MIL gives me gift cards to BBB for my birthday and such, so I occasionally come in. Recently I came in the morning, figuring it would be less busy. The lines are usually kind of bad.
I found some spoons I wanted to get and went to stand in line. There were about 10 people in line and one cashier. I immediately determined it was not worth it and left.

I would leave no stars if I could, but since I’m forced to I’m only leaving one! Nothing really positive to say about this location of BB&B. The customer service was bad, and that’s even asking for help from at least 2 different workers. The attitude I received from them was they didn’t want to help me or didn’t want to be bothered. The store itself is crammed like hell, and talk about bumping into things and people. I felt like I was in the video game Pac Man!

Well, I had to drive all the way from Escondido from some stupid squishy sand since they didn’t have any at the San Marcos store. The parking here is a bit frustrating especially during the Christmas rush and getting in and out of Trolly Square can be a nightmare in and of itself. I will say that the store is neat and they had more than enough cashiers to handle the last minute shoppers. I was in and out in under 10 minutes which is a plus since the last minute present madness has left some people brainless.

I placed an online order and this was the closet store in San Diego to carry what I needed. I placed the order early morning. A couple hours later I got a confirmation. Several hours afterwards I went to the store and picked up.
It’s the holiday season, so when I walked in, there was only 1 line to service all. I needed to get to the customer service counter and luckily I ended up there.
I indicated that I had placed an online order and my order was ready to be picked up. I used my 20% coupon and saved $ 20! Since the item I bought was large, an employee carried my purchase to my car and loaded the item into my back seat.
Luckily, the line went pretty quickly and my first experience placing an online order with BB&B went really smoothly. I will definitely use the service again.
You can use expired coupons which is awesome. I actually used a coupon that was from 2012! You can use up to 6 coupons at once, too.
The lady at the customer service counter can be a little more friendlier, but I can certainly understand how busy the holidays get with all the customers.

Today I had to return a couple gifts that I had gotten for my bridal shower and the worker, Brad, was very helpful to me! He was kind and patient and we had no problems with the returns even though some did not have receipts. Overall I was very happy and will definitely be returning to this Bed, Bath and Beyond again!

One of my favorite places to shop (besides REI) and they have an equally impressive return policy which is important to me because I’m so indecisive. I always look for a cashier named Christine because she is so friendly and happy, just the sort of person who loves to say kind word to make your day… Very sweet!

Horrible customer service. Rude, and don’t know their jobs. Won’t be coming back to this store anytime soon.

I have never had an issue with BB&B until this past week. I normally have too many employees offering to help me but on this day I saw 4 walk by and didn’t even acknowledge my existence. I finally was able to track someone down who made it seem that my being there was an inconvenience to her. I asked if something was in stock and was told that all they had was down. I then asked why it was on display of the didn’t have it, as she gave me the impression that they were no longer carrying the item, and she rudely replied that it was because they were out of stock. I work in retail so I know how a customer should be treated and this was not it. Anyone going to Santee BB&B be warned that Michele (sp) (she has glasses and black hair with a blond streak in the middle) is not a nice, helpful employee.

I like this place. A huge selection, friendly attentive staff and things I don’t always find for stuff around the house when I shop at some other locations. Keep up the good work.

I’ll go out on a limb here and rate these guys as 5 stars. I’ve been here a few times and usually the employees are more friendly than the average retail worker. However, my rating is based mainly from one experience in particular. Picture a mother alone with her toddler in desperate search of a fan for this ridiculous Santee heat. This was a few weeks ago, and I do take some of the blame for not being prepared. However, it was well into summer and I believe retailers have some responsibility to be prepared as well. Target, Home Depot, and Walmart were all completely out of fans. So, as irritable as I was by the time we made it to Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I was able to recognize the friendly nature of the associates immediately, and guess what? I was able to locate a fan! Yup, this store was my savior :)

This is a pretty basic store. They have all the amenities that all Bed Bath & Beyonds have. There were plenty of employees walking around, non of which wanted to greet me or ask if I was finding everything alright. They seemed more into the task they were doing, and not so much my confused look on my face on finding what I needed.
But I still give this location 3-​stars because while they weren’t the best of workers, they weren’t horrible. I still managed to find everything I needed, and wasn’t disappointed in the product.
But I recommend know what you are coming in to get, it makes things easier!

Free gift wrapping if you buy from a bridal registry??? NOT!!! All they did was put the gifts in paper bags with their name on it and put tissue paper over the gifts. THEY DIDN’T EVEN TAKE THE PRICE TAGS OFF!!! Good thing we double checked. What a bunch of idiots!!! Thats what you want. People to know what you paid for their gifts. Morons!!! The staff on the floor were helpful in finding items we were looking for so I give them props for that, but they do not wrap the gifts! If they do, I’d double check to see if they were intelligent enough to takes the price tags off. Better yet, don’t bother. Just do it yourself!
