We’re inviting you to grab a glass of wine and a paintbrush and meet us at your favorite vineyard. Bring your friends and capture the scenery on canvas. Wineries provide a perfect, stress-​free environment that will both inspire your creative spirit and indulge the wine-​lover in you. Painting events are a unique way to celebrate birthdays, bachelorette parties, bridal showers, anniversaries, girls trips, corporate team-​building events and more. No painting experience necessary – a trained, local artist will walk you through the entire painting process step-​by-​step. You’ll even walk away with a landscape painting of your own to commemorate your trip to wine country. So, check our calendar for special events or grab a group of friends to join us at your favorite winery for a creative twist on your wine country excursion!

Business Owner

Christi Schaeffer is a Santa Ynez Valley local and has been painting since she was able to hold a paintbrush. She believes that creating is what we were all made to do. Passionate about art, she hopes to inspire others through the creative process. Fun, energetic and encouraging as an instructor she loves to see customers light up when they step back and look at what they’ve created. Christi will help you feel comfortable with a paintbrush and proud of what you’ve accomplished!

Awesome experience! Painted in the vineyard at Cambria Winery and was very pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out. Christi and Heidi were awesome and made it easy to walk away with a quality project, despite our artistic shortcomings. We are proud to hang our paintings in the house and look forward to coming out again sometime. I highly recommend this as a date! we had wine, we had cupcakes, we had fun!

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day weekend painting at Cambria winery! Everything was well organized and the process was easy to follow. The wine and cupcakes were delicious and drinking water was provided. It was a lovely sunny day and umbrellas were set up to provide shade. Fun way to spend time with friends or on a date!

This review only applies if you love wine.
Will you become Monet or find your next calling with a class with Gypsy Studios? Short or long answer is no to both. But heres the positives.
1. You get to goto a great wine region in CA — yes not everyone needs to goto Napa or Sonoma. Tip — goto Saarloos Winery tasting room and also get the cupcakes.
2. Its a very short drive from LA — leave at breakfast. You are there by lunch.
3. You get brownie points from wife or girlfriend
4. You get to go home with 2 paintings that you can hang in your house. If they look like mine — you won’t be hanging them in the living room but somewhere inconspicuous so you won’t scared looking at it everyday but there are plenty of empty walls to hang things on in my house.
5. Did I mention they also have wine during class?
Thats 1 point for every star so 5 star review. Over and out.

We went to Dierberg Winery on our way home from a weekend in Los Olivos. It was sooooo much fun. Hubby loved it too! We have a great anniversary souvenir and got to keep our wine glasses too. So worth the money. Dierberg’s excellent wines were fab! Christi is awesome and fun and lighthearted. Sitting on a goldmine here girly!

I can’t say how awesome of an experience I had painting with Christi! We had her for a private party out at our ranch, we requested painting the scenery there and she whipped up a great image for us to capture. Very professional, but still humble and so much fun! Highly recommend also dropping into one of her painting parties at a winery, once again was a great experience. We love them and can’t wait to have them back!

‚Had the most amazing time this past weekend participating in Gypsy Studio’s painting in the vineyard event. They are pros, not only in assisting you in creating a masterpiece, but in finding a location that sets them apart from your usual «wine & paint» event. The winery, Lincourt was spectacular as well, quaint, beautiful and delicious! What a way to spend a few hours. Highly recommend to anyone going to the Santa Ynez area to add this to your list of «must do’s!». You will have an incredible time, and walk away with a souvenir you will truly be proud of! Bravo «Gypsy» ladies!

It all begins treating your palate with an array of aromatic wines. Then pair that with the artistic talent of Christi our professional artist. Throw in the attentive touches by Heidi and you will transcend into a blissful experience. My daughter and I kicked off our Mother’s Day weekend with this dynamic duo and came home with a masterpiece and some new great friends.

Wow, I can’t recommend this painting class enough! It was one of the best days I have had in a year! This was my first time painting with acrylics. I am amazed that my painting turned out! I have told my friends all about it! I have since ordered paints and art supplies and am looking forward to taking some lessons! Plus, you are at a great winery, with nice instructors! If you get an opportunity, try and set up a class with Gypsy Studios. It would be a great bachelorette party! Thank you for the inspiration!

My husband and I did this as part of our anniversary and it was so much fun! Our paintings were so much different and we really enjoyed seeing how we each perceived the scenery.
Christi is the best teacher we could have had. She was very encouraging and patient with us as well as the whole group.

If you are looking for something out of the ordinary to spice up your day or perhaps a unique date activity with your significant other, I would highly recommend attending a Gypsy Studio Art Party. Christi, the owner of Gypsy Studios, is an accomplished painter and wonderful art teacher. She will have you painting things you never knew you could. More often than not wine is offered at her parties, making the experince that much better.
I say try somethig new and go to one of her art parties!
