History

Established in 2014.

Susan Suard has been photographing professionally since 2011. Over the years her clientele grew to the point where she was able to officially launch TreeBear as her full-​time occupation, and she is very excited to see the growth of her business in the months since she took a deep breath and quit her day job.

Hey there, welcome! I’m Susan Suard, the photographer and owner of TreeBear PhotoArt, a lifestyle family portrait service based in Sonoma County in the glowy state of California.

I love taking photos, and want to give you a collection of moments that goes way beyond saycheezandclick and into a place that is seriously magical.

I have been loving on the photographic medium since I was a kid, and spent a lot of time with my Dad’s old Minolta taking photos of flowers in our backyard and my family. Professionally, I’ve been rocking out since 2011 — going full-​time pro in 2014.

When I’m not working hard, I am playing hard, usually outdoors. I dig hiking, kayaking, fishing, and, of course, photographing nature and all its glory. Oh, also, I practice Karate. Yeah, that’s right. I have a Sensei. It is as awesome as it sounds, thanks for asking.
