Specialties
Our beers are all brewed on the premises: We’re known for Anglo-Celtic inspired ales, more aggressive West Coast style ales, and experimental beers. Our menu is comfort food driven with daily specials, and a focus on fresh local ingredients: Pub classics as well as more exotic and spicy Asian, Mexican, and Cajun dishes that pair nicely with many of our beers.
History
Established in 1995.
Third Street Aleworks was founded by old high school buddies/extreme beer enthusiasts Todd Hedrick and Chris Hagan. The idea of Third Street Aleworks was always a simple one: great fresh beer, great comfort food, and great people: A simple formula that’s stood the test of time. Part of our philosophy as a small craft brewery is that we strive to evolve and grow. After 15 years of people asking where they can find our beers in stores we decided to start bottling… we like to go at our own pace. Because of the excellent reception our bottles received (and to keep up with growing demand) we expanded the brewery in 2012. We’re still a small craft-brewery with small brewery values– and we still brew every beer we sell on the premises– but now you can find our beer from San Francisco to Mendocino and all points in between. Cheers!
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
In the 1980’s i discovered European beer, which led to my discovery of the first American craft beers, which led to my discovery of home brewing– which led to relentless disappointment… but also to an appreciation of the complexity of the art and science of brewing. In 1994, at the ripe old age of 26, I was determined to open a brewery of my own (where I could work with talented brewers) — so I teamed up with my old friend Chris, and we somehow convinced a whole bunch of people to help make our vision a reality. A bit of water under the bridge… and today, legendary Sonoma County Brewmaster Randy Gremp, and a talented young upstart by the name of Tyler Laverty head up the brewing operation… and their excellent skills in the brewhouse helped launch our first foray into bottling, in 2010.
