Simpson Sheet Metal, Heating & Air Conditioning

We just had our new system put in this month. Once again, Simpson did a great job. John set up and designed a system and Jose was the lead installer. Both were a pleasure to work with, and they even finished ahead of schedule. One of our big concerns was hot/​cold spots in the house due to the number of ducts and the size of rooms. Jose was able to make adjustments that seemed to help balance the system out from the previous set up. Most reassuring, was that John told us to call once the weather changes for furnace use, and they can fine tune again if needed. Can’t recommend them enough.

We replaced the furnace and all of the ductwork in our 3000 sf home with a 2-​zone system. They were very professional and had good communication every step of the way. They did several upgrades to the ducting which greatly improved the efficiency of the system. The install was flawless. They responded promptly to every question and concern. The price was just as good or better than other estimates I received, and I think the quality of the job done was the best. I highly recommend Simpson Sheet Metal, and would definitely use them again.

No return call for nonemergency service appointment.
I called them on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 PM for a nonemergency service call and was told by the woman who answered that the person that could assist me was on another line and that I would be called back. I left my contact information but never received a call back.
I called them again on Wednesday morning at 8:30 AM. This time a man answered and told me that the girls were not in yet to schedule an appointment. I again left my contact information and was told that I would be called back. Two hours later and I still have not received a call back — apparently, nonemergency appointments do not interest them.

We contacted Simpson SM because we knew some of the folks that worked there and had dealt with them in the past for commercial needs. When I called for a quote to replace my home heating unit, they were quick to respond with a site visit and analysis of our needs. Their price was absolutely the best while including everything we needed to replace our furnace and update our heating system. Their estimator, John was straight forward and helpful, suggesting only what we needed to meet our needs and current codes. They arrived as scheduled did a great job on the install and left the area in better condition than they found it. Our new heater works great and was just in time for the cold spell. We had a mini-​split heat pump installed in our new remodeled home to alleviate the heat that had made the upper floor of our home unbearable to be in when it got hot this August. This is a highly efficient way to cool and heat your home without using ducts. After investigating the products available we began looking for a company that could get the job done for us. After meeting with a competitor of Simpson Sheet Metal and being handled very roughly it was refreshing to meet John Roncone and have him present us with a product that came 2k less than the competitor and with no push to sign until we were ready. There was a couple of blips in the installation but EVERYTHING was handled with the utmost concern for the customer. I highly recommend this company!

My small business has used Simpson three or four times and each time we get friendly, fast service, with competitive prices. We will continue to use them and recommend them.

During a recent cold snap with night time temperatures in the mid 30s, our ten year old furnace stopped working. To make things more difficult it was a holiday (New Year) week. We called Simpson on Monday morning and they were able to give us an appointment for noon the following day. Our technician, Carlos, called us Tuesday at 10:30AM asking for permission to come early and we gladly accepted as our house temperature was around 50 degrees

We found Carlos to be super-​nice, friendly, polite and neat – he donned booties before entering our house. He set to work diagnosing the problem and after ten minutes explained that one part definitely needed replacing and a second was highly recommended for replacing. Carlos was articulate and knowledgeable and patiently answered our questions explaining how the parts worked, what he was going to do to try and get the furnace running and the reason he recommended replacing the second part.
He had the first part on his truck – but not the second– and was able to install it and get the furnace up and running by manipulating the second part but once again told us he highly recommended we replace it. We agreed, and since it was Dec 30 we asked him to text the information necessary to immediately order the part to his supply person (Serrina) in hopes we might be able to get it overnight. Within 10 minutes of Carlos leaving, the furnace quit working!
I immediately called Simpson and left a message for Serrina. She returned my call telling me she had located the part, advised me of the cost of the part and charges to have it sent overnight so that it would be received by 10:30 the following morning. She then assured me that once the part came in, Carlos would come out to install it. Serrina then asked us if we needed a space heater and when I said, «yes» she said she’d personally drop it off.
The following day, Wednesday, Carlos appeared with our new part and our furnace is finally fixed. I can’t thank Carlos and Serrina enough, they are outstanding employees. They and Simpson are true professionals in every sense of the word and made a difficult situation so much easier – we started 2015 warm and toasty.

A++ service from such a well run company top to technician. I called at 9:00 am and they had a technician at the coast an hour and half away before noon. Our furnace has been looked at by two other companies but was fixed by Simpson. It is so assuring to have such professional services available to our community at a phone call… and during the Holiday Season. Congratulations to Simpson Sheet Metal for your well earned reputation. Installed the heating & A/​C system in my relatively new house. The air intake for the system is a large, odd sized rectangle. Can’t find air filters in the size at any Home Depot, Lowe’s etc. Only Simpson carries the size air filter. And the price is premium.
But the staff are always friendly and helpful. I had a crew come to my house to balance the internal ducts for more even flow through the house. The crew arrived on time, did the job pronto.

Over 20+ years ago, I had Simpson Sheet Metal put in two forced air heating systems on our property, into two different houses. Both systems have always worked so well that I haven’t needed to call them for anything major. I recently found out that one of the systems had a severed duct line to the air return, along with small tears to other parts of the ducts. Animals had made their way under the house and had torn the ducts, clogged the fan, and was allowing heat to escape under the house. The house still had heat so it went un-​noticed for a while. I got three estimates to fix the problem. The first company said: «replace it all, it’s so old and needs to be replaced». The second company only estimated replacing the duct with metal ducts.
The third estimate was done by Simpson Sheet Metal. Within minutes of looking at the problem, John their estimator said «we can repair the ducts, and clean the system» for less than I expected. I explained that I needed it done as soon as possible because of the leak letting heat out under the house. He organized the crew, Mike and Jose, to arrive the next day. They not only fixed the problems quickly, but looked at the air return in the house to only see that it also could be improved to work better. I was so impressed with John’s honest evaluation. My system was very old and yet was still viable, it just needed to be repaired and cleaned.
That evening the heater went out again. I contacted John and he had another crew member Leo come out to fix the problem early the next morning. Again he located that a simple part had gone bad and replaced it. It had nothing to do with the repair they had done before.
I recommend them to do all your heating and air conditioning work. What impressed me about this company is that John called to see if everything was working after the last repair. They really cared! Excellent experience with Simpson. I got several quotes for a new furnace and all new ductwork and theirs was competitive — not the lowest, but not the highest; certainly a fair price. And the quality of work was great. They were really good at communicating with me, the guys who did the install were professional, and they followed through on a lot of detailed tasks related to the project.
All in all, very professional, fair, and stand-​up guys to deal with. I highly recommend.

I am so blown away. We rent our home. Our furnace quit working this last weekend. I called our landlord at 9:15 this morning. It’s now 10:52 and the repair man is leaving and the furnace is purring. Who fixes anything that fast? Who even shows up that fast?

I had Simpson Sheet Metal install a new, high efficiency Carrier furnace in my 24 year old home last November so it has been almost a year since the work was done. Simpson was not the cheapest quote, but it was a fair price for the work. I was having problems with my original furnace and since it was 24 years old, it was time for a new unit. The guy from Simpson was very helpful in describing the various choices I had and we zeroed in on the right unit for my application. Much better than the previous quote I received from another company where the guy who came out and quoted me the top of the line Carrier that had features that were not applicable to my situation.
The young man who came out and installed the unit took two days and did a very clean and thorough installation.
A year later and I am still very happy with the new furnace. My average utility bill has dropped over $ 20 per month during the months that I run the furnace so I know the new one is much more efficient and it heats the house up much faster!
All in all, I am very pleased with the service I received from Simpson Sheet Metal and I would definitely use them again when my now 25 year old A/​C unit decides to give it up.

After finally seeing my original review with 3 stars, these guys called me recently and asked if there was something they could do to raise my rating. I’m glad they called and made the offer even if it took a year and a half.
Maybe they are trying harder and I’ll probably use them again on the next job.

I am very disappointed with their very poor service department. They charged me $ 600 to service a 4 year old Carrier 5 ton Air conditioner and within a month after the service the air conditioner failed. They showed up late on the service day and the rep left within 30 minutes telling me he had another job to go to that day that was more important than getting my repair done. He told me he did not have tools with him to effect a service and repair. He showed up later in the day charged my system checked it for leaks then left telling me he was not sure he had repaired our air conditioner. Do not use this shop these folks are terrible. Very expensive and they don’t follow through.

Top dollar pricing and association endorsements do not always equate with top dollar customer satisfaction. We just spent $ 664.00 for a furnace repair which misdiagnosed the actual problem and left us with the same problem we had prior to service. The repairman described on our invoice «Unit started to work as I was trouble shooting — took a guess on two boards & I feel these are the problem». Unfortunately for us, his guess was wrong as the next night the furnace would not start and exhibited the same symptoms as before the service call. We later found out that the real problem was in the timer of the thermostat. Diagnostics are not an exact science, and in fairness they did send the repairman out again to check, and at that moment the unit did function after a 30 second delay when the thermostat was turned up. Regardless, the net result is that his diagnosis was still wrong, and it cost us a lot of money unnecessarily. I did write several emails to Simpsons chronicling the problems, I requested by phone that they return the original parts that were replaced, and I also requested a credit adjustment. on the invoice. To date, I have not had the courtesy of a response, which leads me to conclude that in the eyes of Simpson Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning, that we are just «complainers» and as a result they don’t want to deal with us anymore, on any level. So… be forewarned out there!
