Asked if they made there own potato salad. I was told yes. I was real disappointed because I kno wat the difference is. Just because u add extra mayo n some seasoning to the shit that come in a tub that most delis receive don’t mean it’s ur own. When u actually boil the potatoes n do it the rite way it’s yours. Won’t be going back. Plus I threw the half pint away after 2 bites. It also had the taste of everything else that was uncovered in the refrigerated section where it was stored

Very sorry I chose to use up my lunch brake on this horrible place… not only do I not get lunch now but I wouldnt ever let anyone I know eat there… I got a sandwich and a macoroni salad. The bread is so stale it wont chew and the macaroni is hard and undercooked the place obviously only wants to cater to the young students that wont complain and has no concern about the food they put out

I had the worst experience of my life at this deli. Do not eat here! The owner was so rude and disrespectful. He has no business running a deli. I don’t care how long he has been in business he does not know how to treat his customers.

Good food… if you have cash. No debit at till makes the sandwich pretty damned expensive. Now I have to consider whether I have cash on hand before I grab lunch.

Two words: PAUL’S SPECIAL. This is a sandwich that bards would sing about if they were around. The garlic roasted tri tip is perfect, the cheese is smokey, and the bacon is… well, bacon. It surprisingly works well with the red onions, mayo, and mustard. I recommend you get it on the soft french roll so that you can bite through it easier. Who of thought that this legendary combo would work so well? Paul; that’s who. FWIW, the Ranch Hand is pretty tasty too, for when you get tired of eating Paul’s Specials. But really, I don’t think there’s anything else I’d rather order there.

It was a great place to eat until the son took over. I refuse to go in there and get treated with complete rudeness! The son has the worst mood swings!!! He is nothing like his father who ALWAYS greeted customers with a smile.

This place has so many happy memories. I used to come here all the time when I went to Santa Rosa High and get rockstars and giants sandwiches on the cheap.(Uh less than 7 bucks? Yes please!) They make the best mayo/turkey/dutch crutch sammies with some veggies ;) Perfect for a quick, cheap lunch. Just remember to grab cash! They do have an ATM which only charges 1.75, but still having cash on hand is always easier. Also, the service here has never ever been bad for me! I always receive friendly quick service. There is a reason they have been open since the 70’s!

I have been coming to this deli for about 14 years now. has always been my favorite. the Paul’s special gets 5 stars alone. Tri-tip, smoked cheddar, bacon, onions, heaven. Mike is so personable, great service. They have HUGE pickles, bagel dogs, beer, everything you need!

Get the ‘Paul Special’. Wish I could give it 12 stars. The ‘Dillon’ special is quite something as well.

Deli is short for«Delicious». Admittedly I have a bit of a bias here. I went to high school across the street from this place and I’d stop in virtually every morning for a cup of coffee before starting my day. I stuck to the menu and picked up a «Mike’s special» today. It didn’t disappoint. Of course they have Piroshki’s for sale, a quintessential deli food.

Best deli sandwich ever!!! Very generous with the meat. The deviled eggs are tasty too! Great service, LOVE Mike the owner! Won’t go anywhere else!

I’m a huge fan of the Perry’s on Sebastopol Rd. That’s the one I typically go to, but I popped into the one on Mendocino because I had an appointment nearby. The staff are nice and everything– but this review is SPECIFICALLY for the MEATBALL sandwich. I did think it was odd that nobody on Unilocal had reviewed their meatball sandwich. Just by sight, the meatballs looked pretty good so I figured I’d give it a go. It was disgusting. The meatballs are sort of pressed and formed in an odd way– and taste more like some kind of processed meat and spice product(think– Slim Jim) than actual meat. Worst part– the sauce isn’t a marinara at all. It’s more of a BBQ sauce. In fact, I think it’s the exact same sauce they use for their pulled poor. Just…really gross. Next time, I’ll stick with some of my old favorites– Salami or Roast Beef.

This place has been around since before Great Skates and that old record store! I remember riding my bike over in jr. high just to get a sneek peek at the cool older high school crowd. Yea, they are in their own world behind the counter — probably due to the drones of kids envading the doorwell and stealing candy every day — but they make great sandwhiches for pretty cheap. To the other reviewers who are mifted they don’t accept debit — carry cash once in a while! Haven’t you ever been to a dive bar?

They’ve got me hooked. Turkey on a soft roll, hot pepper jack cheese, lettuce, pepperoncinis, dry. Grab one of the homemade chocolate chip cookies at the counter and a drink and you are set. They make your sandwhich 10x faster than any clerk at Safeway or maybe even any other deli you’ve been to. Fast, efficient, pretty curtious but not overly corporate bubbly. Just how I like it. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

Turkey, Swiss, everything add pepperoncini peppers on sourdough. I remember this being the best tasting sandwich of all time. Perry’s introduced me to peppers on a sandwich, this was such a crazy combination at the time. But you managed to hook me and I am not sucked in on the pepper craze. Come during lunch and expect a long wait as Santa Rosa High School is directly across the street.

Yes, the women behind the counter is rude. But, if you know what you want and order, and order correctly, the sandwiches and pretty good. They have a variety of meats, cheeses and breads to choose from that is all fresh. I didn’t realize that they do not take debit cards, since I usually have enough cash on me to buy a sandwich. There is a ATM machine if you happen to find your wallet empty.

The brown curly haired chick behind the counter is horribly rude every time I go in to buy simple things… I’d suggest an attitude adjustment if they want repeat business, there are only so many people in Sonoma County who would try your deli. I try to avoid at all costs, there are too many other delis and convince stores in the area.

I was steered here by Brandon, and he was right. Let’s just say the product is the only real redeeming quality in this transaction. Funny thing is, it actually smelled funky on the car ride home. I was thinking«fuck, Brandon and his crackhead recommendations.» The second I took a bite, the funk smell went away and I was eating an unusually good sandwich. The minus star represents the bad parking and the amount of highschool kids I had to walk through to get onto the deli. Don’t go there when school gets out, unless you’re looking for some underage emo action AND a good sandwich.
