History

Established in 2011.

Katzi Designs was a dream of Jessica’s for many years and finally, in late 2011, she was able to make it a reality. It is her mission, through Katzi Designs, to make and share functional and beautiful things that can be used in everyday life.

The name «Katzi» was the nick-​name for Jessie’s great-​grandmother who was an amazing sculptor. Jessie always liked the name and as Jessie’s grandfather told her, Katzi didn’t start her art career until well into her 30’s. Having recently turned 30 herself, Jessie found that Katzi was not only a great name but also an inspiration.

Owner and founder of Katzi Designs, Jessica (Jessie) loves making things! Through the years she has spent much of her free time thinking of, and creating, her next project or next piece of art. Until recently, art has always been something she did for personal enjoyment. In 2011, she took those beautiful creations and started sharing them with others. She has since been making products for people to use, wear and enjoy everyday.
