My absolute favorite sushi restaurant. I highly recommend the Paradise Roll for vegetarians. Great vegetarian selection!

Good sushi but overpriced for what you get. Avocado in my roll was over ripe and brown. Ginger was not very flavorful.

One of the best Sushi restaurants in Santa Rosa! Its a small place, but the food is really good and the serving sizes is substantial for the money — far better value than Hikuni Sushi & Steakhouse – plus the sushi is far better too! I highly recommend Jojo’s!

The restaurant is nice, bright and cheerful; the staff are always helpful and attentive; and the food is very good. If you’re in Santa Rosa and you’re jonesing for good sushi, Jojo’s gets my recommendation. Great place for date night.

Everything we had was delicious. We started with the Fried Calamari and it was very good. We had a variety of dishes that were all excellent. The wasabi is awesome!

Fresh, great service & lots of food for a lunch special. My chicken was cooked perfectly & my tempura was cooked in good oil. The waitress was so nice. Very clean… the only reason why I did not give it a 5 star is because I thought it was a bit pricey for lunch. My meal was $ 15.15 with no drink. Overall it was very tasty food.

Came here with friends, found it to have a funny smell. The service was prompt, but the sushi was less than average. Never really coming here again.

Came here for lunch. Service was very fast. I ordered a bento box(vegetable tempura and chicken teriyaki). It came with rice, salad, and miso soup. The portion is huge! I was quite surprised at the speed everybody’s orders came, actually. I had heard the cooking can be slow at lunch. The bento box is a very good value, I can’t say the same for other things(like rolls) on the menu. You can taste the charred chicken bits which really added flavor. The vegetable tempura sauce could use some more flavor, it was quite bland. At the end, you get some complementary strawberries drizzled with honey. The bad part came to the payment. I tried to pay with a certificate and the waitress refused it. I told her it’s as good as money and she still refused to take it. I don’t understand why a restaurant would participate in and refuse to take their certificate.

Went here with Rachel and Dion. The Tamago and Tofu Skin Nigiri was pretty good, but the Monotoma Roll was not. It had the not-so-fresh fishy taste to it, and it overpowered the roll. It was very nice to have the honey and strawberries to finish the meal.

Despite being a little pricey for what is offered, I have always enjoyed jojos. I visited Thursday evening, the restaurant only had a few tables seated and the hand rolls I ordered were surprisingly quick. The food was great, but what upset me was the atmosphere. Everything was fine as we were seated. An older woman who may be the owner decided to sit down at her table near us and proceeded to make phone calls. It wasn’t the calls that were annoying. It was the fact that she was put on hold for over ten minutes with the ads that played on hold blasting through her speakers. Then once her calls were no longer on hold she turned the speaker of. It really ruined the date night experience.

My husband and i both had the lunch special bento boxes. My Sashimi(while very fresh and delicate) was a bit skimpy. The tempura was pretty good as was the miso, rice and salad that was included. The service was friendly. I would probably give it a second try, but only for a lunch special. Some of the sashimi and sushi prices were a bit high.

I went to Jojo’s on a Thursday night around 6. It wasn’t too busy and we were quickly seated and served. The tables by the wall were a little cramped for my taste without a lot of space between your table and the one behind you. We ordered two of the chef’s special rolls which were pretty good. There were about 8 pieces of each and they served both rolls on a single dish. At the end they bring you strawberries with a drizzle of honey. Overall it was a pretty good experience. The sushi wasn’t blowing my mind but it was still good. I would probably come back and try one of the dinner combinations next time.

This is my regular go-to sushi joint. They are fast and staff is friendly! You can always get a seat at the bar even during peak dinner times on the weekend! Nigiri is on point! You have to have try the Sir Paul. Salmon, mango, macadamia nuts, and unagi! Wash it down with saki or plum wine :) JoJos does not disappoint!

Not sure why they get bad reviews… we have been there 3 times and love it. We moved here from and had tried several sushi places. All of them were horrible, but JOJO is really good. The staff is friendly, the sushi is fresh and reasonably priced. Very happy with this place!

Had been here as a regular until a year ago due to service going downhill. Thought we’d give it one more try. Had to wait a few minutes and finally flag the waitress down to take our order. Salad was nice size, with yummy dressing. Got our drinks and some sushi quickly but one drink and one special sushi order was forgotten. Sushi was fresh as usual. Too bad service is still not up to par. Not bad service, but not as good as the food.

Good, but not great. Took the wife out there for a date, here’s the skinny: The good: service, great little family running the place. Huge smiles, friendly attitudes, quick and attentive. The eh: Sushi is ok, for the price it’s not much better prepared than Whole Foods, and their menu is confusing. Sometimes I just want a spicy tuna roll, lol. The Bad: selection, when it comes to Sushi, perhaps I’m a bit snobbish, but I need a wider selection. Again it’s the same quality I could get in a grocery store, but less selection and more expensive. Felt like a bodega.

My friend and I got there at 11:30 am on a Thursday — thinking that it was too early to have a lunch; so we expected a quiet place but soon we came to realize that this must be a perfect place for lunch in downtown Santa Rosa. The people kept coming and the place was full in less than 30 minutes! The menu was pretty extensive with all sorts of Japanese food and it took us a while to pick what we wanted! She and I ordered 007 and Lion King with a side order of soup and salad! The food was very delicious and the service was fast and friendly! will definitely come back!

There is some good to point out with Jojo, but there is also a fair share of bad. The goods: — accommodating of larger parties despite a small-ish restaurant — service is friendly — the miso soup doesn’t skimp on tofu and seaweed, and it tastes better than that of most other Japanese restaurants I’ve visited. And the bad: — steak teriyaki comes out lukewarm and tough — there is nothing pan-fried about the pan-fried udon noodles — donburi dishes are heavy on the rice and light on everything else — sushi is unremarkable both in appearance and taste I’ve been thoroughly unimpressed with the Japanese restaurants in Santa Rosa, so it’s not surprising to me that Jojo followed suit.
