Dr. Stephanie – Veterinary House Calls

I needed to give dr. Stephanie a review because she is such a wonderful person and veterinarian! we just had to put our beloved dog Karma to rest she was 15yrs and she had cancer throughout her body, we as a family knew it was her time but we did not want to take her to the vet hospital because it was not a happy place for her and we did not want that to be her last memory! So we called dr. Stephanie and she came to our home it was the best experience! We had our whole family there our karma was happy surrounded by her family.
After Dr. Stephanie put her to sleep when we were ready she took her to be cremated and then brought her back to my home 11 days later. I cannot express how wonderful her service was I would never go anywhere else thank you from the bottom of our hearts dr. Stephanie

SOO delighted to have found Dr Stephanie. I also have four cats. I’m a senior and the prospect of getting them in their carriers, carrying each one down two flights of stairs, into the car, into the vet office, back into the car and back up the stairs was more than I could bear. Decided to research vets who make house calls. Whew. So much easier. Dr Stephanie is warm and friendly, and obviously loves the animals. Great new business model. Worked for me.

Dr. Stephanie is amazing! She arrived at the house right on time, immediately made friends with Nikita, and took the time and effort to explain everything and answer our questions. It was so much easier and more comfortable than taking Nikita to the vet. We wish we’d found Dr. Stephanie sooner.
Unfortunately, despite Dr. Stephanie’s excellent care, We had to say goodbye to Nikita last week. Dr. Stephanie was there for us again. She drove all the way out to Nikita’s favorite beach and helped us to let our loved one go in the most peaceful and beautiful way we could hope to do. I can’t say enough about Dr. Stephanie’s honest care, concern, and compassion. If you are looking for a doctor who cares as much about your loved one as you do, then call Dr. Stephanie, she’ll be there when you need her.

I found Dr. Stephanie here, on Unilocal.I hated dragging my 4 cats to the vet because it was so stressful for all of us. I finally decided to change things, after having our appointment cancelled because we were 10 minutes late — 5 of those minutes were spent standing in line to check in!
Going to the vet has never been a pleasant experience for any of us. Each visit to the clinic ate up big chunks of time and made us all a little crazy. The cats needed to be herded, stuffed into carriers, lugged to the car, clinic and then dragged home again. It always took hours to accomplish and the cats would be so stressed out that, when they got home, they would run off and hide. Not to mention their panic attacks every time they saw the cat carriers.
Dr. Stephanie’s home visits mean no more shoving cats into carriers or peeling their claws off my back! Being able to have excellent, professional service, in our home, is the most amazing gift. Dr. Stephanie’s demeanor helps to relax us all — making a potentially stressful experience — a piece of cake. Even after his blood draw, Ralphy just curled up on his pillow and went back to his nap. Dr. Stephanie is experienced and knowledgeable in elder care (I’m next!) and all other facets of animal medicine. So far, we’ve had group vaccinations, a blood draw for my 17 male, physicals for four and lots of great advice on how to care for two cats with kidney failure.
I thought having home vet care would be cost prohibitive but, it’s not. Taking into consideration: time lost at work, the stress on myself and my babies, the impersonal care and the frustration of being just another appointment, etc. makes the cost of Dr. Stephanie’s visits negligible. Another great thing, about Dr. Stephanie being our vet, is that she knows the cats, knows what their special needs are and can treat them in their environment — making the experience way less stressful.
Dr. Stephanie is always on time, is generous with her knowledge and is a gentle, caring person. Where else are you going to find a vet who crawls around on the floor with your pets? Try getting that with a vet that sees 50 patients a day! Wish I had found her earlier — it would have saved us all a lot of stress and time!
When and if we need euthanasia services, it will be so much easier for them — being able to die at home — and not stressed in their last moments.

We needed to help our Brittany make her transition. We wanted to do it at home and Dr. Stephanie came out on a Sunday (her day off!) to assist. She’s (Dr. Stephanie) is a gentle soul with a warm, caring approach to helping with what is probably the hardest thing a parent has to do for their fur children. She was helpful and supportive through the initial phone conversation through to the making sure we were okay before she departed. Thank you, Dr. Stephanie. We’re grateful we found you.

Honestly, I couldn’t have hoped for a better experience when it was time to send our aged cat on. Dr. Stephanie is as kind and wonderful as it gets, and her care for our little guy all the way through her carrying him away was gentle and respectful and thoughtful. Dr. Stephanie came to help our beloved terrier of 17 years make his transition yesterday and we were very pleased with her process and manner. I especially valued the fact that she had helped me talk through some things before coming to the final decision via a phone call and emails beforehand, as I was really struggling to come to terms with saying goodbye to my little old guy. Her assistant, Amber, was also very nice and chatted with our surviving dog. Most definitely would use Dr. Stephanie’s services again.

I was looking for a DVM who made house calls for a check-​up and vaccines and I am so glad I found Dr. Stephanie. She is punctual, professional and thorough. Our cat was a little bit challenging during some of the exam and Dr. Stephanie was patient and spent over an hour with us discussing the exam, answering all of our questions and providing advice on caring for our cat. She is now our Vet and I would highly recommend her.

My cats HATE to go for rides in the car, especially if it is to go to the vet! I was looking for someone who could come take care of basic treatment at my home to save my animals the stress of travel. Dr. Stephanie has been great. She is personable, professional, and my animals really appreciate getting their care in the comfort of their own home. House calls are easy to set up, and make the whole pet-​care experience much more pleasant — I will be definitely be using her service again!

Dr. Stephanie Friedman is amazing! She is so knowledgeable, kind, caring and professional. Our dog Lucy fell in love with her (whined when she went to her car to retrieve something)! She spent over an hour with us on the first visit, gave us advice about nutrition, general health, caring for Lucy’s teeth, as well as a full physical exam. And we did not have to submit our girl to a vets office, which has aways made our previous dogs nervous.
