Giving you a more balanced way of moving with comfort and ease at work or play; to the athlete, office worker, management, tradesman, musician, dancer, senior or child.
History
Established in 1994.
I was introduced to The Alexander Technique in 1989 when my carpentry career came to a halt due to chronic back trouble and tendonitis. By using this simple method my injuries began to diminish within a short time. Because the results were so positive I decided to become a Certified Teacher of The Alexander Technique 1994.
My training involved 1800 class hours. Studies involved the readings of F.M. Alexander (originator of The Alexander Technique), anatomy, sensory mechanisms, kinesthetic systems, equilibrium, memory and feeling.
I am a Certified Counselor, U.C.S.B. 1990, Certified Massage Therapist 1989, Trained in Gestalt and various Emotional Release Techniques. Since 1994 I have led groups, workshops and taught in a massage school. I have worked with Yoga Teachers (I teach at Yoga Community of Sonoma), athletes with various chronic injuries, musicians, dancers, vocalists, elders, children, Para and Quadriplegic population, and people from all walks of life.
