Arm Heating & Air Conditioning

We replaced our old heater and added central air conditioning with ARM. From start to finish the process was comfortable and reliable. Alan (and Lydia) are very easy to work with. The quality of the work is exceptional and the promptness was always appreciated.

I highly recommend ARM for anyone looking for a new heater or a/​c. They replaced both for us and did a fantastic job. They were all extremely friendly and professional. They pay close attention to detail and the prices were reasonable too.

ARM Heating & Air is BY FAR the best in the business, and we highly recommend them. We have been working with ARM for almost 14 years now, and they are great!
When we first moved into our 1929 home, we had one aging furnace downstairs and no heat upstairs. After getting bids from a few contractors, we decided to go with ARM for their competitive pricing, professionalism and extensive experience.
In the middle of January when it was freezing inside and outside, they got to work installing a new furnace downstairs, a new furnace upstairs, new ductwork throughout the house and an A/​C unit as well.
Over the years, we have had a few minor issues with heating and air, and Lydia & Alan are always prompt to take care of whatever we need. We also have them do yearly maintenance for us replacing the HEPA filters as well as check our system to ensure everything is working properly. So far, 14 years later, everything is still running smoothly, and we have no complaints.
Most recently, we renovated our garage to be a recreational space, and it was more or less a freezing, cold «meat locker». It was not a room where you would want to hang out. We contacted Lydia to get on the schedule and within one week, we had a brand new Fujitsu Ductless Mini Split system that provides both heat and A/​C, and best of all, it’s environmentally friendly as well as energy saving. We couldn’t be happier!
This is probably far too much information, but they are great at what they do… and just wonderful people in general. We recommend them to all of our family and friends. Let me also add that we are not related to them, we are not employed by them, nor are we being compensated for this review. We just want to give credit where credit is due, and they are stellar! You will not be disappointed.

ARM was great!!! Alan came back with a quote for remove and replacement of my downstairs ducting system. His team of Fernando and David were professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. Did the job 2 days after quote at half the price and in less than 4 hours. Highly recomedded!!!

We found out we had to have our HVAC replaced just before leaving on vacation. Alan came out right away, sized up the job, gave us an estimate, and then completed the work while we were gone. The work on the ducts, the vents, the thermostats — all first class. They even took out all the old wall controllers and put plates on them. We had just had the place remodeled and thought we’d have to call back the painters; not so. Alan knew how to divide up the house and where to put all the openings. The best you can say about the quality of the installation is that you can’t even tell it’s there, except, of course, when you need heat or air conditioning. Thanks, ARM. We appreciate not only the great job you did, but the fact that you let us go out of town as scheduled knowing we’d come back to a finished job and a warm home.

Fantastic Prompt Service. Recently when all other folks were busy ARM really helped us out. Our heating in our rental until was having big issues and our tenants had a 9 month old baby. ARM HVAC made an adjustment to their schedule and came out to see us and corrected the issue.

Alan and Fernando came by yesterday and installed a ductless, minisplit system. Not only did they do a great, meticulous job, but they showed up exactly on time and left the work areas, inside and out, perfectly clean. Alan is as smart about heating and air conditioning systems as anyone who i have ever talked to. He will advise you without any selling «pressure» and always makes great, knowledgeable suggestions about how to approach your particular needs. He and Fernando work fast and efficiently, getting the job done quickly. And not only that, but actually seem to have fun when they’re working! Cannot say enough about all phases of their work. And, FYI, if you aren’t familiar with these minisplit systems. they are fantastic. They supply both heating and/​or cooling needs at a fraction of the cost of other systems and are incredibly economical to run. Check them out and talk to Alan!

Writing this review feels like I’ve come full-​circle. From a skeptical customer researching contractors to install a new furnace with duct in my house. I came to Unilocal and narrowed it down to three contractors. I chose ARM. I’m glad I did. Alan was on time and courteous from the start. He started the job when he said he would and finished it sooner than expected. He and his employees were clean and respectful. Every day the work was being done I’d come home at the end of the day and couldn’t even tell they were in my house, except I saw the progress from the day before.
There have been no issues!!! The furnace has been installed for four months. I barely can tell that it is even there. The equipment looks beautiful and the furnace works wonderfully. I can’t say enough About Alan and Lydia. I had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them. I halfway didn’t believe the reviews I was ready on Unilocal,but now I do. My experience was everything and more that I’ve read on this site.

When our funky old wall heater died we called around to get multiple quotes for a replacement after the guy the insurance company sent went MIA (that’s a whole ‘nother story). Lydia at ARM quoted us a very reasonable price and was totally on the ball. Within just a few days they arrived and installed in just a couple of hours (unlike the two day work estimate another company claimed it would require). Alan and Fernando were courteous, tidy and extremely professional making sure to lay down protection over the carpet. A+++ all around and highly recommended!

I am very happy after choosing ARM to replace our thermostat and relocate our other thermostat. From the first phone call to Lydia who was very informative, helpful and super friendly, to Allan and Fernando coming on time to work at our home I had a great experience. Allan was very knowledgeable and through. I was expecting the work to take a few hours, but they worked so efficiently and were done in 1 hour. They cleaned up after they finished and were on there way. The price was fair and the work was done right.

i must have called 4 – 5 other companies to come out and look at our heating and air conditioning to find out why they kept braking. Until we called ARM, no one could even identify what the problem was. Alan came out to our office the next day, evaluated our system and gave me a bid within 24 hours. Wanting to be diligent I called competing companies, and asked for second opinions. They told me that I needed to replace major parts, their quote was more than 3X what Alan from ARM had quoted us and the work far more extensive. I called Alan back and explained what the other technicians had told me. He reevaluated the part in question, cleaned it, did the maintenance and it appears to be working fine. It has worked ‘fine’ in two years. Needless to say, we hired ARM, took Al ans suggestions for repairs and upgrades. Everything has been working well and we are very happy. Plus we saved about $ 3500!

we really had some good luck this summer with our remodel projects. part of that was in choosing a.r.m. heating and air.
honestly, i was not sure they were the choice for us– we had seen them at the kitchen/​home show and i just worried that businesses who showed there might be overpriced. not so. they were very competitive in their pricing– and, better yet, did an amazing job.
alan (the owner?) is a real individual. he has a great work ethic and is an enjoyable guy to have around. he and his assistant were always there when they said they would be, trustworthy and easy to communicate with.
they went above and beyond– dealing with a real mess of a 40-​year old system– and explained all of our options clearly and patiently. we never felt that they were trying to up-​sell us. we always felt that they truly had our best interest at heart. he found and fixed a small leak, without making a big deal out of it. he just gets things done and does them well.
what i think i liked best was how proud he seems to feel about the good work he does. a job-​well-​done seems to make him really happy.

I have been using Arm Heating and Air Conditioning for 10 years and they have always done an amazing job, on time and on budget. ARM has bailed me out of a couple of emergency’s as well. I always feel confident referring family and friends.

I cannot recommend ARM enough, really. After dealing with a home warranty company in getting my AC fixed and getting absolutely nowhere (a real life nightmare) I decided to call our HOA and ask who they use. They recommended ARM. I called, Lydia in the office is a sweetheart – she said she could send the guys over since they were in the area so they could look. What took the previous guy hired by the home warranty company 4.5 hours NOT to fix, took Alan and his guy 15 minutes. They were knowledgeable and got down to business. It was a breath of fresh air. They hooked up my old AC condenser again and warned me that it was pretty old and may not work forever. After 45 minutes of blissful cool air, the condenser did blow up. I decided to forego the warranty company and hired ARM to come replace the condenser. They came out quickly, fit me in their busy schedule, and replaced the unit. They also found some airflow blockage and fixed that. We now have AC and a blower that REALLY works well. Will never use anyone else again, these guys are great.
