We are trying coffee shops as we visit different areas near 30A. So far, this is our favorite. This shop seems to have a place in this community(instead just being there for the tourists). It is obvious that it is a community spot as people knew each other. Yet, the staff are just as welcoming to the tourists(us). Couches, comfy chairs, tables and odd and ends of furniture are provided. Background music was at a tolerable volume to allow conversations, work or reading. The staff delivered drinks and food to people instead of calling out: «skinny latte with no whip!» I found this chair-side service refreshing. Onto the drinks: I ordered my standard Decaf Americano. The crema was missing but the flavor was full and satisfying(I asked for about 10 oz of water with 2 shots; anything less and I should have gotten drip coffee). My husband ordered a hot chocolate with almond milk. He said it was the best he has had on this road trip :) and because I enjoy coffee, he has come to know his hot chocolate. The décor is rather eclectic mix of well-loved furniture and artsy décor. Plus there is a realtor and a jewelry room just off of the coffee shop. The shop appears to be well maintained and good lighting. Their counter refrigerator was noisy but the treats it contained looked delicious. Those of you who have followed me know that I like to drink from ceramic rather than paper or styrofoam. Grayt Coffee House offers paper or mugs(though you probably need to ask for the mugs). Soy and Almond are their nondairy milk options. They did have a gluten-free brownie in the noisy counter refrigerator but I did not try it(or find out if it was vegan). I was tempted by the locally crafted chocolate bars.

Good coffee. Terrible service. Half of the order was missing and it took over 20 minutes to fix it with little concern from staff.

Went tonight to hear some live music. Place was crowded but well worth it to hear some talented performers from Nashville. I listened while my daughter went into another room and painted with some other supervised kids. Who were those singers?!

You can’t help but fall in love with the place, the ambiance and the wonderful lady that owns it. Plan to stay for a while, you will get sucked in.

This is not a cookie cutter coffee shop and why would you want it to be? It’s Grayton Beach after all. When you walk in you are greeted by kind staff and a few well worn couches and tables. It’s homey to say the least. They rely on natural lighting and a few lamps which ads to the warm environment. The coffee is excellent. Straight forward done well. The BEST part of this place is the outdoor seating in back, OHMYGOODNESS!!! Look at some of the pictures other Unilocalers have posted, it’s like a wonderland. Live music in the evenings are a great time as well. Be sure to support and frequent this local coffee shop that is marching to the beat of their own drum.

I have traveled the world and this is by far one of the most unique coffee houses I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere is very drawn back to old times with chandeliers hanging from trees and statues adorning the garden. This is a coffeehouse where you will be able to relax and enjoy your meal, pastry or coffee. The staff here are incredible, they are super friendly. They also serve other things than pastries. The vegetarian burrito is very good as well as is there egg puff. Their coffee is excellent. This place is a special little find in this world.

What a gem of a place this is. We stopped in around 8 pm during live music on a Tuesday and had some hot chocolate. The place felt very welcoming, comforting and relaxing. Definitely a good vibe, and a great place to just«be» for a bit. I agree with another poster… Give or get a hug from the owner Cheri. We will definitely be stopping here again when we visit the Destin area. — on vaca from Nashville, Tn.

We moved to the area this year and this is our go to joint. The owner Cheri gives the best hugs and there are local acoustic artists every Tuesday & Thursday nights. We really do love this place. Awesome vibes & good coffee. Pretty gardens too. All in all, best chill spot around.

Funky is the best way to describe the interior– artist colony meets coffee shop. The back courtyard is spectacular with lots of trees and interesting sculptures. Amid all the slick faux reality of 30A(Seaside/Rosemary), this is a real gem

A hidden gem. It’s a small coffee shop with an outside art gallery. Live music a couple nights a week(T, R). They also have a local artist who will help the kids do a painting. Great coffee. Shrimp boils a couple nights a week. It also has a little craft shop. Would love to go back.
