The Village provides a great environment for working AND networking. The staff is great and they provide a killer cup of joe!
As a member I appreciate the perks of having a large conference room for my client meetings as well as getting all my business mail sent to Village.
I have recommended Village to all my friends who are looking to expand out of the working from home vortex.

Hi, I’ve been here now for several years and it’s simply a great location and service. When I am in need of office help or meeting space, the convenience ensures my business runs smoothly. The vibe and energy of being around startups and established business is fantastic — it’s really a community. I also like the fact we share resources and there are always activities lined up (and snacks!). Very happy here.

I have been a resident coworker of Village Workspaces for several months and it’s really great. The staff is so friendly, organized and accommodating. It’s super cute inside and while there are some interactions going on, for the most part is very quiet. I really like the quality of the people who work there, everyone has some cool type of start up or interesting project they are working on. I would highly recommend Village Workspaces!

Really poor mgmt., communication with lies upon lies.
While Ollie & Sophie appear to be genuinely interested and caring, the truth is, they are not.
Inquired about space for 4, came in for visit, (space was eh, ok at best, crowded/​cramped feel). Advised we were very interested. Ollie was trying to sell me a bill of goods that were half true, while Sophie communicated something very different. I was immediately suspect that I was going to be the victim of a «bait & switch.»
Called to advise we were still very interested in space. Ollie advise there were not ONE but THREE spaces coming available with confirmation pending end of week and asked that I kindly follow up. When I did, I called Thursday, then again 2x the following day, no response, no return calls .
Called again, 3x the following Monday. I assumed there were selling out the space from underneath me and was correct. Ollie gave some BS excuse about one space but was unable to account or the other two. Bottom line, I heard from friends who are currently there, SOPHIE, the wife/​mgr is NOT DOG FRIENDLY while her husband is, and bottom line, a marital dispute about their business seems to off-​railed mine. Neither really seemed that concerned when the news of «un-​occupied» was delivered.
Truth is, he was willing to accept dogs (or at least pretended to get a signed contract) and she is NOT. I don’t know which is worse, but at least she was more upfront. Either way. NOT A SPACE I’D SPEND TIME/​MONEY WHEN THERE ARE SOOOOOOOO MANY OTHER OPTIONS. Don’t be fooled by their charm and sold into a BS «concierge/​boutique service story,» IT“S ALL A BUNCH OF LIES.
PS — feedback from friends who are currently renting is also luke warm. Complaints up an down the board. IE: They say the provide coffee, YEAH — if you’re there first, one pot — good luck! They provide milk with your coffee, AGAIN –f you’re there @ first to drink it all and don’t mind walking back of the office for the milk, then back up front for the mixer with sugar, etc. VERY UNORGANIZED. PARKING IS NOT INCLUDED or part of their service. You have to contract with the local garage and HOPE it isn’t full when you arrive — ANOTHER MISNOMER.
* Concierge service — EHhhh — NOT REALLY! nice try though WV… NOT!
* Parking Service– not related — but publicizes it is!
* Poor Communications — CHECK! You got that down! I only had to call 10+ times!
* Loud/​Semi-​private spaces = CHECK!
* Dog Friendly — DEF NOT! — Only if you sneak your dog in like some do… and def not around Sophie who is OBVI not a dog person… HELLO! This is the WEST SIDE!!!
* NON-​RELATED Entertainment in the SPACE — WHAT!!! YES — they rent out the space during your work hours to non-​related business functions like «TRUNK SHOWS» which THEY (Ollie/​Sophie) see as an added value. HOW is the added value when there’s so much noise in the general area that you can’t hear your BUSINESS call you’re on???
Puuuuuuhhhhhhlllleeeeeeese!!!
DO you homework — and GO ELSEWHERE — you’ll get more for your money and be soooooo much happier!
Do your homework before signing up for this expensive lease.
We also checked in with previous tenants/​colleagues whom had rented at Working Village and they had nothing but complaints. Will have to advise then to provide their feedback on Unilocal.GLAD we DID our homework and found several other AMAZING LOCATIONS with very cool shared outdoor/​rooftop space and VERY COOL entertainment VALUE which Working Village simply cannot match like: !

I’ve been working from The Working Village for about a month and I love it! The staff is extremely helpful, the space is comfortable, and the owners treat you like family. Looking for a clean, friendly space to work from, with the best rates, look no further. The beach is right there, along with Main St. cafes and restaurants. The only downside is the parking situation. I live in the area, so it’s a non-​issue because I can bike or walk, but you can always rent a space from a local parking lot, or park on the street a few blocks away. Highly recommended!

Our company has been with Working Village for quite some time, and while I’m still relatively new to our company, this is an excellent co-​working space to be a part of.
We have three private offices there and more than enough resources on hand– from the super helpful Office Manager, Benjamin, and the ability to book conference rooms, use their office machines, etc. they also have snacks available and weekly mixers taking place. It is truly a small knit community!
The best perk for me is that I take public transportation to work every day– my bus stops right outside of the office AND on Main street, two blocks or so from the beach! Makes for a great break when you can take a walk in the sand.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for a co-​working space that really cares about their tenants.

I’ve used a lot of coworking spots back in NYC. Thanks to Jonathan, Benjamin, Taylor, and Oliver, Working Village, by far, was the best match for me and my partner. Super professional but not rigid. Creative but reliable. Full of action but not crowded. Lots of perks as described in the other reviews. But the strength here are the 3 folks Taylor, Benjamin, and Jonathan who coordinate the whole thing and make this place «just work» for everyone here. Thank you guys.

I work from home, and my apartment has no cell reception. So when my wifi and landline went down for over a week, my world was shattered. I’m not trying to be dramatic here, but it really threw my working schedule off. I tried to find local cafes with wifi that would take me in, but it’s awful being one of those people that chats away on their cell phones in a coffee shop.
That’s when Working Village came in and saved my life. The first try is free, and immediately I knew this is what I was looking for. Lots of working areas, outlets, great wifi, good cell reception, even little snacks in the morning and afternoon from Cielo next door. And I kind of became addicted to their strawberry water which they provided all day. And all of the staff are so helpful and friendly. It’s a great little community. They even have beach cruisers that you can borrow!
You can rent an office space monthly, or rent conference rooms or working areas by the hour or daily. I wish there was a more private option to rent by the day, but the offices with closing doors all seemed to be taken up by the monthly renters. I plan on returning soon when a coworker comes to visit me in town. I’m so glad to have this option nearby — it’s a true savior for remote workers!

I’m tempted to give Working Village 4 stars just to give them something to work on. ;)
I’ve been to a few other co-​working spaces and this is my favorite by far. This is not to say that it is the best by any objective measure, but I’ve found that it works the best for me. Every co-​working space is a mixture of staff, facilities, amenities, inhabitants, and location so your mileage may vary. Here are a few of my observations along these lines:
— The staff here is very friendly and helpful. Checking in is a breeze and I remember giving them my name only once. If you want to go where everybody knows your name, then this is the place.
— The space is very clean and well-​designed which displays and promotes professionalism. I would have no reservations about bringing a client in or conducting an off-​site meeting here. My only gripe is that the seating (at least in the bar area) isn’t as comfortable as at some of the competing spaces.
— Free coffee, snacks, access to printers, and reliable wi-​fi make the per-​day price worth it for nomads like myself.
–The other co-​workers here are generally very professional and quiet, though a few seem to think they’re keeping the lights on. There’s generally a lot of (young) energy, which reminds me a lot of the last company I worked for. There seem to be a few marketing start-​ups here, which differentiates the crowd from the more tech-​focussed crowd at CoLoft. Personally, I’m better at tuning out marketing BS than Ruby-​on-​Rails proselytizing, so Working Village is a better fit.
— Main St is definitely polarizing. If you hate dealing with parking, tourists, or flocks of adults who don’t appear to work during the day, then this locale might not be for you. (I used to live nearby, so I dealt with these issues via immersion therapy.) My favorite thing about Working Village’s location is that it’s next door to Espresso Cielo, though I’ve found that the convenient proximity to Greens Up and Rudy’s Barbershop makes me wish I could afford to live upstairs.
As far as I know, Working Village still offers a 1-​day trial, so you really only need to pay for parking ($ 7/​day in the structure downstairs) if you have a remote work day and want to give the the place a try.

I’ve been booking 1 day workshops at Working Village for about 9 months now. The folks at Working Village have been incredibly courteous and take care of all of our needs.
The space is nicely furnished, modern and very clean. It’s also located in a great neighborhood, so you can grab lunch on Main St or a coffee around the block at Cielo.
Even through many more coworking spaces have opened in the last few months, this still remains the classiest and most convenient.

I’ve worked here for 4 months. It’s an amazing set up. I previously had worked from home, but free way more productive outside of my house. In addition to a great work space with an amazing friendly cool staff, Working Village has a great community of start-​ups, companies, producers, freelancers and entrepreneurs. You meet great people working in all sort of different fields and areas.
Here’s a sampling of some of the great amenities
–incredible location (café cielo is next door, great lunch spots close by, beach 100 ft away)

The best part of this place is Brad, the owner. Sadly, my company went under last month, but I continue to come in just to pretend I still have work to do. Nobody minds, because nobody knows. They have an old time phone booth and I stand in there a lot and drink coffee. It’s a bit cramped, but there is no extra charge to use it and doesn’t require quarters. I call my own cell phone sometimes and run out to answer it and make it look like I have people who want to talk to me. Wednesdays are bad, because Brad is not there or here. I don’t recommend Wednesdays. Okay, well I have to get back to work now, because I am here at Working Village.

My business partner and I have been working from home for quite some time. I recently moved from DC to Santa Monica and we like the idea of being in a space where we can interact and collaborate with other like-​minded small businesses and entrepreneurs. We were excited to see a collaborative space like Working Village so close to us. We took advantage of their free 2 hour trial, selecting one of the open areas to hold a meeting. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. We also thought the staff provided great customer service… asking if we needed anything, and offering to move us into a private office as they set up for an event happening that evening in the open space. Very nice. We opted to stay put and our meeting continued without a hitch. The two conference spaces they have are great. The private office space is more than we need at the moment, but we will definitely come back to hold meetings!

I love Working Village! I’m a small business owner, who works from home. I found myself not being as productive as I would have wished and I was tired on the same old coffee shop routine. Working Village is a fantastic solution for me and my business. The flexibility of being able to rent a space for an hour or a year is rare and is appealing to me because of how much my schedule changes.
Location: Perfect, located on Marine St, less than 1 block from Main Street boarding SM/​Venice. Gym, bars, coffee, restaurants, beach, all right at your finger tips.
Staff: AMAZING. Brad and Jamie rock!
Service: Top notch, very professional.
Facilities: Clean, professional, user friendly. Conference room is really nice and you can hook your computer to the flat screen for presentations.
Cost: I think it’s fair, however, I think maybe some items could be adjusted. The cool part is that the staff is flexible and understanding.
Sound: Better than a coffee shop, however, I think the private offices could be improved, especially for the price point.
Overall, I would highly recommended Working Village to any small business owner or work from home employee in the area. It’s worth checking out next time your in SM/​Venice.

This place is a hidden treasure. Its super nice the staff are extremely friendly and professional. The Internet speed is blazing fast. Unlike Starbucks or CoffeeBean which is usually too slow for me to get any serious work done. It’s perfect to have meetings they have a very nice conference room with full wall whiteboard. (whiteboard paint) on the wall. It’s perfect place to invite clients for meetings or hold group presentations or just spend some quiet time and get some work done. Not only that but it beats the heck out of working from home which is REALLY distracting. You also get the added bonus of meeting other like minded people that are not corporate drones.

Starting using this place when they first opened because I sometimes work in the Coffee Shop next door on Main St. in Santa Monica (Il Ciello)
Anyway, it’s really sweet — basically short term office space, by the hour or day for a very reasonable price — in a great location you could never afford otherwise — 2 blocks from the beach.
This place was totally accessible and convenient and I’m probably going to use it on a regular basis. It’s those really simple concept /​ideas that I think any small business, freelancer, writer or small team would probably find useful at some point.
The front desk girl called it «co-​working» — meaning: office space when you need it for as long as you need it — «on demand» — by the hour, day, week month — all depends on what you need. At some point, it’s kind of unprofessional to be working at coffee shops or libraries or at home with dogs barking and children bothering you. This is just a great alternative — and in many ways cheaper than if you rented month to month office space and had to pay for phone, Internet, utilities, etc … it’s totally genius.
It has the feel of a hotel «business center» (they even have workstations you can rent by the hour) — ice water with little cucumber slices — they coordinate lunch orders or coffee from next door, kinda cool. You can also rent the conference room, large cubicles, some days this some days that, whatever you want.

I’d have to say Working Village is a most excellent place of business. I love working here because everything is very clean and organized. The location is absolutely awesome, being that I live in Venice, I can walk to work from my apartment.
They serve cucumber water here every day, which boosts my energy levels and keeps my taste buds satisfied.
Management is incredibly nice here, the receptionists are very helpful and friendly, they make my work environment a pleasure to be in.
Internet speed is awesome, no complaints there. AND, being that it’s right off of Main St. Santa Monica, there are TONS of delicious places to eat within walking distance.
Please come and visit this one of a kind office space, I promise it will be worth your time!
