Each one of a kind Urban Hardwoods furniture piece is handcrafted in Seattle using salvaged wood sourced from local neighborhood trees. In fact, ninety percent of our materials are sourced within a 20-​mile radius of Seattle, Washington. When trees need to be removed due to hazard or disease, we consult with tree services to salvage them and give them a second life as high-​quality furniture that is truly one of a kind.

When it comes to design, we’re inspired by nature itself. The color, figure, and shape of each individual slab guide our design decisions. All of the knots, unusual grain patterns, and color variation — the «imperfections» that mainstream manufacturers cut away and discard — are the features that give each piece of Urban Hardwoods furniture its unique character that can never be replicated.
