Established in 1976.

Steven L. Mandel MD attended NYU where he majored in psychology in addition to completing his pre-​medical studies. He continued his education at the University of Cincinnati Graduate School in Psychology on a full scholarship, where he was awarded his master’s degree. After graduating from the USC Keck School of Medicine, Dr. Mandel did his residency in Anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and at UCLA’s Center for the Health Sciences. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and he has extensive experience in the provision of anesthesia in both inpatient and outpatient settings for adults and children.

Steven L. Mandel MD has had a passion for healing since he was a little boy, starting with nursing a robin back to health by feeding it with an eye-​dropper for weeks after its unfortunate encounter with the neighborhood cat.

Since then, he has gone on to do a vast amount of medical procedures including delivering babies, saving gunshot and stabbing victims in the ER, plastic surgery anesthesia, dental anesthesia, Ketamine Infusion Therapy, and much more.

When he isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Mandel enjoys spending time with his golden retriever Magellan, wife of 29 years, and their 4 children. He is also an avid outdoors-​man serving as sailing instructor and fleet surgeon for his yacht club and as a provider of outdoor emergency care as a member of ski patrol at Mt. Baldy.
