History

Established in 2012.

SonoSim has origins at the University of California, Los Angeles, where researchers looked to engineer an intuitive and accessible ultrasound simulator. SonoSim was established with the help of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the United States Department of Defense, in order to create a product to educate healthcare providers on how to acquire and interpret ultrasound images.
