History

Established in 2014.

Zev Weinstein and Michael Schwimer are lifelong friends. Growing up, Zev and Michael’s fathers had neighboring medical practices in Santa Monica. They attended family functions and vacations together. But it was their mutual love for the ocean and surfing that brought them together. Zev and Michael are avid surfers and have traveled the world together looking for the perfect wave. More importantly, Zev and Michael share a passion for the law and justice. It is with this mutual interest and desire to form a law firm dedicated to fighting for the «right thing» that Schwimer Weinstein LLP was formed.

Schwimer Weinstein LLP focuses on real estate law, landlord tenant disputes, business litigation and catastrophic personal injury matters. Mr. Weinstein leads the firm’s personal injury and landlord tenant practice. Mr. Weinstein also holds a real estate license, which often proves useful in his analysis and management of real estate cases. He is also a Trustee of the Santa Monica Bar Association and active member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. In 2013, Mr. Weinstein secured a $ 2,000,000 judgment for two children injured at a day care facility and a $ 1,000,000 settlement for a client who was injured by a maintenance company while on the job. Mr. Weinstein was honored as a Superlawyer Rising Start in 2013, 2014, and 2015 and named as a Top 100 Lawyer in Southern California Under 40 in 2015.
