I took my grandson here and he loved it so much we signed up for the Saturday classes thru the Summer. Great experience!

Très agréable soirée! Acheté sur Groupon, le prix régulier s’avère quand même raisonnable. Nous avions réservé pour une toile en particulier mais malheureusement le studio nous a appelé pour annuler faute de participants. Nous avons donc choisi une autre soirée avec toile différente; plus difficile… avec de la peinture acrylique, donc résultats moins concluants…:)
L’accueil est très chaleureux et le personnel attentionné. Le vin est servi à volonté et accompagné de crudités et de fromage…
Pour un bon moment entre amis, ou en solo!

There is a short window for refunds, but they will let you reschedule. Also you apparently have to print out the voucher otherwise you cannot get in (this lead to a lot of confusion since we didn’t know beforehand).
The instructed class offered less guidance compared to a similar class I’ve taken at another place, so I’m not sure if I would recommend it to beginners. It’s also triple the amount we paid last time and the artwork selection is more limited.
However they serve wine and appetizers (cheese, crackers, salami, olives, etc.) which of course helped make the class more fun. That was my favorite part.

Had a great time at the «unrestricted». They were super on top of it. Tony was very helpful and a great guide. Definitely recommended.

This place is awesome. You pay a small setup fee and buy any canvases you need. They are super helpful and bring you paint whenever you need it.

This review is for the children’s art classes only. I don’t understand why a store would offer their classes on a deal site and then get extremely irritated when you call to use your deal. This has happened twice now with this place and I learned my lesson. The first time I assumed the person had a bad day but the second time I realized it was just a major attitude and who needs to deal with that? The art projects are nice but I prefer to deal with nice people.

Had a lovely time here. My instructor was Terry and I though he was great! We went for a morning session from 10 – 12. It went by so quickly. And it was super fun. I have painted before, my mom had never touched a charcoal or paint brush. We both had an awesome time and left with paintings we were really happy with. Looking forward to returning!

Lisa and the entire staff at Paint Lab are wonderful! It is a glorious space with two huge studios. My 11 year old son has been going for two years and loves it! They usually work with a known or established artist or painting to inspire the lesson of the day and the kids come home with canvass or two that they worked on. Cubism, impressionistic you name. Great for those idol says of summer or after school or Saturdays.

Travelzoo offered a coupon so four of us went to the bites and brushes on a Sunday evening. We did not experience the heat issue mentioned but I can see how it could get hot during the day. The staff was super helpful and the instructor friendly and knowledgable. We did have the experience of seeing the instructors back most of the session, which blocked what he was showing us. I had to ask him to move several times so I could see what he was instructing us to do. At the end of the evening, we all enjoyed the wine and appetizers and left with a beautiful finished project. All in all, a great way to spend an evening. I would definitely do it again if coupons were offered. I don’t think I would for full price, however.

We really enjoyed our experience here ! It was so much fun and our instructor was awesome! Very knowledgeable and patient. I can’t wait to come back again. Paint lab makes for a fun date night away from the ordinary date. I will definitely recommend it ! Try it out you won’t be disappointed.

Just had a class with Terry! Try to get him as your teacher.
Excellent instructor. I really appreciated his patience and how he also encouraged us to explore different methods.
Worked on our pace, which is very nice considering how frustrating it can be as a noobie.
The plate of cheese, fruit, crackers, hummus and veggies added a nice and fun touch as well.

My fiancé and I took an oil painting class with Terry Ziegelman. The experience was awesome! He’s a talented artist and teacher. He gave us personalized attention, was open to our questions, and taught us the fundamentals and techniques. We left with paintings and a wealth of information. Very recommended. Also, he makes great art. Thanks Paint Lab & Terry!

Painted two evenings here for the bites and brushes. The cheese and wine are ample, seating plenty, and instruction sufficient. I was hoping to learn just a little more about the actual art, er, science of painting? Still, each time I walked out with slightly recognizable creations that I was proud to show off!
I would suggest making sure your belongings are not close to the painting area. The lady next to me spilled her brush with red paint onto my light tan bag, twice. I was told sticking it under the table should protect it, and learned I was wrong.
Compared to other paint nights with similar places, Paint Lab is local, consistent, and I think it’s better for a super casual, more drinking type of evening. It’s a great way to get people who retort «I can’t paint» to join you and realize, yes, with the right place, people, and mindset, they can!

Now this place is just adorable. I saw online that they had art classes & decided to sign up for them with my boyfriend. After paying for the experience & the canvas, the unlimited paint & brushes, wine, cheese, crackers, & other snacks were included. You could do an instructed art class (or uninstructed for half the price). I definitely recommend this!
We decided to do uninstructed. This worked in our favor because the 2 of us ended up having the whole back room to ourselves with all the snacks & wine our hearts desired. We had a blast painting away — try it out if you’re looking for a fun & creative date spot.

Had a great time at Paint Lab during their Picasso Painting Class.
I have puchased this activity through travel zoo and called them to schedule this activity ahead of time. (They were full for 3 weeks) Street Parking after 6pm is free in most streets around.
You paint, get some cheese and wine and paint again for 3 hours.
You get to go home with your master piece and the time passed without thinking of nothing else than how good it is to paint.
Recommended!

I LOVE this place!!! I had the pleasure of planning a bachelorette/​bridal shower weekend for one of my best friends I reached out to PaintLab and Jarryd and his team were awesome! They were very prompt with phone calls and especially emails.
I like to communicate via email because then there’s no ambiguity as to what one should expect. There was one last minute changes (quite complicated) and I emailed Jarryd asking him if the change could be accommodated and he emailed me right back to confirm. Spectacular!
We were provided with aprons and sat next to each other and across from each other so we could all converse for the duration of the session. The teacher was very thorough, and we all had such a fun time. There was plenty of cheeses, crackers and fruits to start off the evening as well.
The service was so attentive, they kept our drinks refilled throughout the entire evening, as well as replacing water for our brushes and napkins etc. to make the event even more fun I had bought everyone pink berets and matching tanks to channel our inner artist. ;)
Thank you so much Paint: Lab for amazing time! The Bride to Be had SO much fun! Cheers! I can’t wait to come back with my other group of friends!

Had a great time tonight. Terry is an awesome instructor and explained everything step by step. All of a sudden I had replicated Dali… well kind of. I don’t think I have the patience or talent to paint, but Terry and the paint lab made it a fun learning experience. I find myself quite relaxed after the class.

I came here for a paint wine and cheese evening recently.
I have never painted before. Ever. Well, not since kindergarten. I had no idea what I was up for.
Our instructor was Terry. He put me, and the rest of the class, immediately at ease (most of us were newbies to painting) and took us step by step through the process. He walked around the room to provide pointers and helped my colorblind self mix colors.
They gave us plenty of paint, changed out our water frequently, and provided the canvas and easel. Also wine and cheese!
I got a bit lost, but it was because the people at the front desk were being extremely loud, not at all trying to keep their noise down during the class and the phone with it’s annoying ring kept ringing quite loudly off the hook. If it weren’t for that, I think it would have been a perfect class for a first timer!

I haven’t been to the new space yet, so this review is of the class I took with a Groupon ($ 29 for 2 – 3 hour painting class) at their old space on Main St. I really enjoyed myself at the class and found it to be a fun concept that combines creativity and a little casual wine imbibing — two of my favorite things! I did think the instruction could have been a little more in depth. As other reviewers have mentioned, you’re basically given a piece of paper and supplies, and then you loosely follow along as the instructor paints the picture. For me, this was fine, as I have some (limited) experience with painting, and it was great to just have all the supplies there for you. All in all, I would return if I saw another deal — for $ 29 it was totally worth it, but I likely won’t go out of my way for the full-​price class.

This is a review for a unique birthday event, which included cheese, wine and painting a Monet.
The Paint Lab set up all the necessary items: easel, canvas, paint brushes, water, paint and of course, wine. The instructor was nice and taught step by step at a reasonable pace. We were painting for approximately 3 hours. In addition, the staff walked around and refilled our paint and changed our waters often. It was relaxing (or was it the wine). I was also very focused on trying to recreate the amazing Monet. The birthday girl painted as well, but also walked around to socialize and enjoy the wine and cheese. At the end of the session, we got to keep our Monet. Our paintings were great conversational pieces.
Come here is you want a relaxing, down to earth event that requires the right side of your brain, but still want to enjoy the wine.

My friend and I went to the Paint Lab for the evening wine and cheese paint session. The event space was great and the staff person who checked us in was very attentive. The problem was the artist who was intructing us. His name was Terry. Despite us informing him that we were beginners, he gave us little guidance. The students were sighing and saying I’m lost and he didn’t walk around the class to help. He was very focused on getting his painting looking perfect. Ninety percent of his time was spent with his back to the class. Therefore, if you go and I do recommend that you do, you might want to inquire about the instructor.

I like the new location, although I can’t speak for any issues with sun/​heat during the day because I visited during an evening for Painting and wine/​cheese. I imagine they will install some heat-​resistant sun shades if they have not already.
We used the Travel Zoo deal for painting, wine and cheese and had a nice time. This is definitely a good date activity or bonding activity in general (girlfriends, co-​worker retreat, siblings/​parents).
The staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. They kept the wine, cheese and fruit flowing and routinely checked in with each student to see if the water needed changing out, paints refreshed, etc.
This really is an interesting social exercise. Half the fun is walking around to see what the other students created and how many cool ways there are to look at and render the same thing. You don’t have to be a creative type to enjoy this and you will probably surprise yourself by the end of the lesson.

attended the free open house workshop on Saturday. what I noticed first was that it’s HOT in here! there are wall to ceiling windows that let the sun in all around, so it was steaming in the main area. there is also an additional back room that was a bit cooler. I really can’t complain, because the class was free, but there were a BUNCH of kids in the class that were running around and talking, and parents repeating everything the instructor had just said, so I couldn’t really focus on my masterpiece. I would suggest having a kids only class and a separate adult class next time.
we also had to pay if we wanted to paint on canvas, so in the end that option wasn’t really free. (I chose to paint on paper.)
I enjoyed the class, and liked how my painting came out, but I would never pay the full $ 67 price to attend a normal workshop, that’s just too rich for my blood.
