They were rude and not helpful at all to what I needed or asked. It was a very uncomfortable atmosphere after they made me feel that they didn’t want to help me at all. The guy claimed he couldn’t help me at all because he «didn’t have time» but the store was nearly empty.

Very disappointing. Waited 15 minutes to talk to someone. Entire time asst manager was on the phone and refused to make eye contact or put them on hold simply to say hi ask me to wait or inquire what I need. Other worker spent 15 minutes chatting about parts with a customer not buying anything and having little debates about health care. We eventually left after neither person even made eye contact. Shockingly bad customer service.

I’ve been purchasing my auto parts here for many years. This is the only major auto parts store in Santa Monica. There is plenty of parking. The staff are generally helpful. The only issue I’ve come across here is the tendency for items to be out of stock.

I had different experiences with the store in the last two days — but to make a long story short. They sold me a defective part yesterday — which cost me alot of extra works and time lost. However, today was a 5 star experience because they took responsibility for their mistake and did the right thing. Thanks to the manager (sorry I forgot his name)
p. s. When you buy sensor parts for a Mercedes — buy name brand… Bosch etc.
p. p. s. With parking at such a premium in Santa Monica and Venice — it is nice to find a huge parking lot to park in.

Super quick service, the cashier helped me find the head light I needed for my car at lightening speed and then came out and installed it for me in under 5 min. Appreciate the service and the efficiency!

Just a depressing store to shop in with a piss poor auto cleaning supplies area. Walmart has better.
They really need to make this place over.
Employees seems nice – three went outside to install a part and see if they can get this woman going again.
But please! Can corporate give this hard working boys some better surroundings to work in?
Another minus: No bike rack! If your car is broken and you need a part, where are you going to lock your bike? I had to lock mine to an electrical pole.

I have to say my experience today was phenomenal. Ernesto was a consummate professional. I came in and asked him a question on how I could fix my hood latch. He stopped what he was doing, and came out to my car and fixed my latch. Thank you O’reilly for hiring such great people. I will continue to use you as my auto parts company.

I bought a battery from here 7 months ago and I had to bring it back because it was no good according to AAA who tested it twice when I called them for a jump.
I went into this store & the young man was really rude to my husband & I when we told them it was no good. He told us to go out & take the battery out ourselves, so we did. The two guys were charging it and said that AAA lied, the battery was fine. I literally, told them to give me a new battery, so they made me wait 30 min before they decided that the battery was no good and told us not to come back again. Then a customer drove up next to our car when we were trying to put the battery back in and the one gentleman came out fixed his battery for him for no charge and the guy drove off. Until this incident happened, I always bought my parts from this store, but now, I will never go back to this store again. Bad customer service.

Came in here looking for a battery & they went above and beyond. Ulysses installed it for me at no charge. My taillights wouldn’t turn off so I was on the phone with a mechanic as he was putting in my battery & he told me he could do it there for the cost of the part ($ 15). He even replaced my taillights that had burned out from being on all night for the cost of the bulbs ($ 8).
Long story short, they saved me SO much time and money I would have inevitably wasted at a mechanic.

I came in because someone told me my brake lights were out. I obviously could not check this myself. One of the extremely helpful staff members helped me figure out which light it was, and helped me purchase the right and installed it as well. Super helpful. The whole thing took 3 minutes. They were great!

Ernesto and Javier, were able to figure out what was wrong with my car and get it going in no time. Every time, I’ve been to an O’Reilly Auto Parts store, I’m never disappointed. The one in Santa Monica is no exception. These guys are awesome, helpful, and knowledgeable.
I was in and out of there for less than $ 100 today. Amazing. Thank you!

I highly reccomend this location if you are looking for exceptional service that goes above and beyond the call of duty. My car had lost power whilst driving down Lincoln due to a faulty alternator, and when I went in to get clairification on the problem the staff were incredibly helpful, especially Anthony. He was informative and effective and helped me select the RIGHT part, and not just the most expensive one. I had an incredibly positive experience that resulted in my car being driven away just a few hours later. The clear passion for both people and cars was evident, and I couldnt steer anyone more in this direction. Thanks again Anthony! You are a wonderful employee and human being!

I don’t understand how this place has so many stars. I went in there with an idea but needed some advice on oil. The guy helping us didn’t have a clue and said about 5 words to us. Then we asked someone else what he also had no clue. It’s a simple oil change, you’d think they would know something. I gave them two starts because they do have stuff in stock.

I was extremely impressed and actual a little caught off guard by the excellent level of customer service received from the employee names Ghared. When I told him about my problem, he asked if the car that I needed the materials for was outside. When I said yes, he walked with me outside to my car to discuss what I would need to complete the repair, helped me walk around the store to get the products and gave pointers to make sure that I did not make a common mistake using related materials. The personal service was amazing!!! The perfect reason to return the next time I need something.

This place is fine for your run of the mill alto parts needs. They usually seem to have stock of most things you might need (oil, fluids, etc). They seem to be expanding their shelves with a lot of cheap ‘crap’ like toys and ‘deaths head gear shift knobs’ though, and they skew more USA car centric than for Euro’s but they know their customer I guess.

This is where Kragen Auto Parts used to be. It is now part of the O’ Reilly Store chains.
I called here to ask if they would be able to help install a headlight for me and was advised that yes in fact someone could help me.
The hours are good especially on a weekend, open til 8:00 PM. I stopped here and parked right in front by the store doors and was assisted immediately by Lenton.
Lenton was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. He took a look to make sure I only needed one light replaced and checked the brake lights as well. He found the part which was in stock and made sure it matched the previous light so that one light wasn’t brighter than the other.
I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Friendly people and the store looked organized. I know why my mechanic goes here for regular parts. Easy to deal with and I will be back again for sure for smaller items like wipers and lights.
