I love that it’s a family owned business for one. Everyone in here is very helpful and kind. They have whatever you may need or want in their ample stock. The fact that they carry Schwarzkopf hair products is a big plus. Parking can be iffy and they are a touch on the spendy side, but the value is fair and they have good operating hours.

This is a great beauty supply store. They have product lines that are hard to find such as Borghese, Darphin, etc. Plus there is plenty of parking nearby. Great place!!!

Misty Beauty Supply has been my go-to place for all kinds of beauty products for years. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and very knowledgable. Their service is outstanding: when I went there yesterday looking for a particular size and shape of cosmetic bag and it turned out they didn’t have one, they offered to see if one could be made by their supplier to my specifications. Now, that’s helpful service! I highly recommend Misty.

I’m kind of done with getting my hair products at grocery stores. Mostly because I’m done with looking like I do my hair in the garbage disposal. I really love the people at Misty because they’re really nice and low-key, and they don’t try to sell me stuff. They wait until I ask about finding a new product and then they tell me about options. I really appreciate that. I have a great hairdresser, but her salon only sells a few products and they’re all expensive and I’ve never found the right product there. Anywho… L’oreal stopped making«my mousse» a couple of years ago(mince!) and I had to start that awful hunt for the new perfect mousse for my curly hair. I must’ve tried everything — I had brillo pad hair, crispy helmut hair, gooey stick-together hair… then I went into Misty and told the guy my sob story and he showed me two European mousses I’d never heard of. So I finally ended my search for the perfect mousse — I also get my Moroccan Oil and my high-end shampoo there and little gifties for friends and family. You can park in the back and be in and out in 5 minutes… if you don’t get lost in the aisles of pretty products! I love it.

I was super impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff here, not to mention their array of products. It’s a family run business which comes through in how well they treat their customers. I came in knowing that I wanted to dye my hair bright fire engine red, and Cynthia helped me figure out what Goldwell shades would give me the results I wanted. I showed her a picture of Kat Von D with red hair, and then we looked through the swatch book to get the right dye. I’m glad I trusted her opinion, because the color turned out spot on. She had to send someone to their warehouse(close by) to get the dye because they didn’t have it in stock in the store. I was worried she would tell me to come back the following day, but she said they could get it in just a few minutes! I was fine with waiting. Best part — Her dad accidentally forgot to get an essential item from storage, so Cynthia actually dropped it off to my house a couple hours later! Granted, I live relatively close, but still, I’ve never had someone go to such lengths to ensure a happy customer — and that I was. She is a doll, and I will commit to coming back to Misty Beauty for all my beauty needs(with the exception to my beloved and sometimes hard to find Mario Badescu line that they do not carry. Can’t win them all!)

They carry Chi flat iron’s which for some reason certain beauty supply places no longer carry. I thought the price was a little too high for what I have paid in the past but they were able to match the price for me when I compared it to another supply store. They were friendly and caring which is all a customer could ask for! I recommend this place to anyone looking for great products.

I’m really picky and only use the best products and this is by far my favorite beauty supply. It seems like a family works there and no matter which member I encounter, everybody is always very polite and knowledgeable. They also carry the huge bottles of Keratese which I find to be more cost effective than buying the little ones. They are never pushy and just seem to be really nice people. I will definately keep returning as a customer.

They have everything for my beauty needs. If they don’t physically have it they will order it and I usually get it within days. The owner and all his employees are extremely helpful and nice. Highly recommend this store!

Great Customer Service! They have the most color selection of O.P.I nail polish I’ve ever seen. I also love browsing and have found a lot of things that can’t be found at other beauty supply stores. Parking is convenient and easy.

I have had some really rude treatment from the staff. I guess they are too good to be selling beauty products to women on the westside. If I ask questions about the products I get putdowns and eye-rolling. Maybe it is a cultural thing? I have switched to shopping at Bay Cities or La Peer. Happier now.

So impressed with the customer service here. She didn’t have the nail polish color in the store, but literally got it for me in their storage in less than 20 minutes. I am quite impressed.

Blondes only, au natural or otherwise; listen up! (Guys move on now unless your feminine side is curious, or you’re blonde.) Don’t let your ash turn to brass; you know what I mean, that funky, sun-induced, yellowy, oxidation that leads to hats. Well, it seems ol’ soleil is not the sole culprit. My color genius, Reba, at Studio E in Santa Monica says the«organic» shampoos I’ve been using wreck havoc on color treated hair. Who knew? Solution: Clairol Shimmer Lights™ Blonde & Silver shampoo several times in between color appointments. Caution: everyday use can cause blue hair; think Avatar blue.(I really want to see if she’s right but my professional life is so nixing it.) Not a salon item, mission to tone down tresses under way, I squeezed into the metered lot behind Misty Beauty Supply & Salon. Money on the meter, I was good to go! Product in hand in less than five minutes, I longed for more time to browse the aisles of all things essential and pretty. Not my first visit and it won’t be my last.

Excellent selection, very courteous and knowledgable. Cynthia is great. They do charge full price. I paid $ 28 for Bumble & Bumble Sumotech. But it was a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

I was so excited to find this shop so close to my new home! They carry Kerastase, Bumble and Bumble and just about everything else you could want for your tresses(except for Davines, but I can deal). The staff in the store are pretty friendly and helpful(not at all pushy). I dig the understated storefront and displays — it’s all about the products here. They also have the CostCo-sized bottles of Kerastase products, which are sometimes hard to find and while not necessarily economical, do keep you from having to restock so frequently. Edited because they now carry Davines! Yay!

In a word: Darphin. As far as I know, the only other place in town that carries Darphin is Nieman’s, and Misty’s is much more convenient if you live west of the 405. If you haven’t tried Darphin, yet, Google it, and you’ll see that their eye treatment is highly regarded. Then go to Misty’s. You can try the products in the store, and they can make samples for you to try at home. I originally got hooked on their eye treatments, but now use a lot of other products as well. This store also carries other great beauty products like Kerastase, and has a nice selection of hair clips and candles.
