Twice a week, our chef gathers all the produce we use in our dishes from the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market. History
Established in 1979.
Michael’s debuted in Santa Monica in 1979 (a Manhattan location was soon to follow). From the beginning, we have dedicated ourselves to offering our guests the finest food and wine, presented with casual yet impeccable service in rooms filled with modern art treasures.
Our restaurant was one of the pioneers in the «Califnornian» cuisine. Our chef goes to the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market twice a week to gather all the produce we use in our dishes.
Our beautiful dining room and romantic outdoor garden patio are filled with works by some of today’s greatest contemporary artists, including David Hockney, Robert Graham, Frank Stella, Jasper Johns, Jim Dine, and Kim McCarty.
