Dr. Goldfarb is one of only a few fellowship-trained endocrine surgeons in the greater LA area. At the John Wayne Cancer Institute at Providence St. John’s Hospital, Dr. Goldfarb and her team provide only the highest quality, personalized care for her patients.

Business Owner
Melanie Goldfarb, MD, MS, FACS is a graduate of Brown University. She received her medical degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago and completed her General Surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center /Harvard Medical School. She then completed an Endocrine Surgery fellowship at University of Miami and became board certified. She spent 3 years as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at USC, completed a masters degree in clinical, biomedical, and translational investigation, and is now an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the John Wayne Cancer Institute. Dr. Goldfarb is the recipient of competitive funding awards from private and public sectors, and already has over 30 peer-reviewed publications in top journals. Her research focuses on endocrine tumors, secondary malignancies, thyroid ultrasound, adolescent and young adult thyroid cancer, and cancer survivorship. She sees patients at Providence St. John’s Health Center.
