I’ve been with Dr. Needham for over a decade and he’s been the best GP I’ve ever had. He has a terrific bedside manner, is very personable and empathetic, is extremely knowledgeable, and is willing to take the time to share that knowledge in extensive conversations. I feel lucky to have him.

Dr. Needham has been my doctor for about a year now. In addition to my previous review I wanted to also mention a few other positives: +They always seem to answer their phone, This seems expected but it is often hard to get through other doctor offices. +++(3 +s) Maybe I have been lucky but I’ve now been able to get same day appointments when I needed them twice. Yay.

Now, I know that this is a HUGE rating change from my original review and I will admit that I made a bit of a mistake. But I’m not a doctor and it took several OTHER doctors to make me realize Needham wasn’t as great as I thought. I will preface my in-depth review by saying I still believe he’s a nice guy and genuinely tries to help his patients. That said… The other reviewer makes a point to say that Dr. Needham is knowledgeable about sports injuries, but that’s the opposite of what I found. After a year of working with him about a labral tear and a frozen left shoulder, I finally broke down in horrible pain and went to urgent care after a terrible sleepless night. I brought all of my paperwork with me, begging for them to tell me what to do. The first thing the doctor said was, «who is your orthopedic surgeon?» Um… I’d never been recommended to one. So of course, I looked for Unilocal reviews on ortho guys and found a highly rated one who spent five minutes looking over my records before saying, «You just wasted a year. These tests were done wrong and the tear can’t be what’s causing so much pain.» And now I have to do it all again because Needham didn’t know enough to forward me along in the first place.
