History

Established in 1985.

Hair Designer’s Studio (Santa Monica’s best hair salon) was established January 1985. Fahimeh Betts worked at the Broadway in the Santa Monica Mall as a hair dresser. She decided to go on her own and bought this salon in October 1985. It took several months to renovate it and prepare for the grand opening in January.

Since that time, Hair Designer’s Studio survived the 1994 earthquake which brought 2 years of construction on the building. After 24 years Hair Designer’s Studio has become an established part of the Santa Monica downtown scene. We have been able to stay in business because of the quality services, but most importantly — the care and attention we give to the customer.

Business Owner

Fahimeh Betts is the owner of Hair Designer’s Studio. She has been in the salon business for over 30 years. Early in her career she owned and operated 5 International Salons. She also owned a salon in Beverly Hills. In January 1985, Fahimeh opened Hair Designer’s Studio in Santa Monica, California. Fahimeh was educated in cosmetology at some of the world’s most prestigious schools such as Vidal Sassoon (London and US), Glenby International (London and US), Marie Pierre (Paris, France).

She graduated from these schools at the top of her class. She gained special awards for design and style concepts. She has received special training from Goldwell, Paul Mitchell, Nexxus, KMS, Redken, and Wella. Fahimeh is known as a master designer. She looks forward to seeing you at the salon soon!
