Under the guidance of qualified teachers and a full-​time director, the First United Methodist Church Preschool provides an enrichment program to enhance your child’s growth and development physically, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically. Experiences in science, art, nature, music, and dramatic play are provided. Classes are structured by age so that all the equipment and activities are developmentally appropriate. Teacher/​child ratios are kept low to insure a quality preschool education.

History

Established in 1948.

In 1948, the Preschool, formerly known as the Nursery School, was established to serve the children of church members. It soon expanded into a professional preschool for the community and over the years has gained a reputation as one of the finest in the city.
