Only in it for the money. Wouldn’t even return my message.

Do not come here. Dr Schlang is NOT a caring or reliable dentist. My friend had a dental emergency over Thanksgiving weekend. We called Dr Schlang’s practice at Westwood Dental at least ten times and left numerous messages and nobody called us back until late in the day on Monday. This was a truly frustrating experience. We called the emergency service listed with their practice and they cheated us by giving us numbers of doctors «on call» who were not available. We left messages on various answering machines but never got any answer or even a referral. The most frustrating thing is that when we finally got a call back from this office on Monday the only advice we received was to go to the emergency service in a nearby hospital. I believe that there is something seriously wrong with a dental practice that is unable to follow up on the emergencies of their own patient. My friend will never ever go back to this place and I recommend you don’t come here if you want a caring and competent dentist. We found a few other dentists in Los Angeles and West Los Angeles who were able to assist my friend over the weekend and who are professional, competent and who truly care about people in pain. Other than pain my friend had a serious abscess that, if not treated right away, can lead to sepsis and death. Gladly we found help elsewhere. Again, horrible experience. Do not come here.

I was very dissatisfied with the poor service at Dr. Elliot Schlang’s Westwood office. I made an 8 AM appointment so that I could visit him before work, and when I got there, nobody was there. I tried knocking on the door and calling repeatedly, but nobody came to the door and nobody picked up the phone. I gave up and decided to just drive to work.
Then I called again at 9 AM. I assumed they would be very apologetic and try to accommodate me the same day. They reacted completely the opposite. The receptionist claimed that she was there «a few minutes after 8 AM» (the office is supposed to be open at 7 AM). No apologies, no efforts to try to see me again. I loathe unprofessional offices and horrible customer service. I will never go to Dr. Elliot Schlang’s office again.
