When my mother was rear ended with my 1 year old niece in the back seat, there was some serious concern for their well-​being. Naturally, I contacted Daniel Carpio who gave us invaluable advice that ensured she received a fair compensation. I highly recommend Dunn, Carpio & Turner to anybody that needs help navigating the often confusing realm of personal injury.

After I posted my 08÷27÷15 review of Dunn, Carpio & Turner, the law firm contacted me on my personal email account and asked me to delete the post. They did not dispute the events, they just wanted the review gone. Some people might find this intimidating.
I understand Unilocal is a powerful advertising tool for small businesses but it is wildly inappropriate for companies to try to game the system by reaching out to Unilocal users asking them to remove negative feedback. Unilocal is only as reliable as its reviews are honest. My review is accurate. So I left it untouched.
Today, however, the lead attorney Mr Dunn posted a reply with the same ultimate goal in mind. If you can’t delete the review, discredit the reviewer, right? Of course, since my original post is entirely accurate and the exchanges are documented, Mr Dunn knows he cannot claim anything I’ve said is false — and you’ll notice he does not — so instead he creates a red herring, insinuating there’s more to the story then hiding behind attorney-​client privilege.
I think Unilocal users are smart enough to see this for what it is.
My advice to parents is if your child is ever seriously injured in an accident or dog attack, be very careful which personal injury attorney you choose. And maybe just maybe be a little skeptical of businesses that only have glowing 5-​star reviews.

Attorney Daniel Carpio helped turn around what had been a horrendous experience for my wife and me by taking all of the stress out of dealing with insurance companies, and ended up getting us a great settlement.
My wife was driving a scooter and was hit by a car that turned left across the lane in front of her. She was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, and her scooter was totaled. Her injuries, thankfully, ended up not being permanently debilitating, but she endured a lot of pain, fairly extensive permanent scarring, and her mobility was limited for weeks. The other driver’s insurance (Geico) was pretty quick to pay for the totaled scooter since it was obviously the other driver’s fault. However the fast-​talking agent who handled my wife’s case offered an insultingly low amount for the injury. Even when we called back and told him we would not be accepting such an unethically low amount, he insisted we had already agreed and rushed a check out to us to try and get us to accept.
That’s when we engaged Dunn & Associates. From the start, Daniel was obviously competent, and made us feel very comfortable. They are a very professional firm, and Daniel always kept us informed about everything, from telling us what to expect from the start right up to when he reached a settlement (and never in that condescending way that makes lawyers so unpopular). It was truly a pleasure dealing with them.
Speaking of the settlement, the insurance company finally offered 67 times what their sleazy agent was trying to force down our throats. Not a typo 67 TIMES! Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone for that reason alone.
I noticed there is only one negative reviews for these guys, and their fees seem to be the main reason, so I wanted to add my two cents. In my experience, the fee they charged is standard for this type of situation. Obviously it would be great if you could get a good lawyer for free, but that’s not realistic. Also, they did my case on a contingency basis, so if they hadn’t been able to get me a better settlement, I would have been out nothing — I could have just cashed the check from the insurance and gone along my way. To me personally, getting the bigger settlement was worth paying for a good lawyer.

I’ve been trying to leave good reviews when I have good experiences with businesses, and not just bad reviews when I have a bad experience, so here it goes.
