If you want to look like you got a $ 150 haircut in Beverly Hills, come here and ask for Scott. He is a great stylist with mad Barber skillz. Since I have been coming here, my social life has been non stop! I get dates almost every night! I even got a promotion at work because my awesome new cut has increased my confidence and taken my swagger to the next level! Do yourself a favor and let Scott do for you what he has done for me.

I live right down the street and have been coming here for years to get my haircut. Finally writing a review (sorry it took so long!). In short, they are a group of very friendly guys that do a great job cutting hair. I go to Scott who has cut my hair a variety of different ways (both long and short) flawlessly. Definitely high quality for a very reasonable price while maintaining that old timey barber shop vibe. Highly recommend!

Don’s is hands down the best barbershop in town. The place is well-​kept, solid atmosphere, and all of the guys are fun to be around and talk too. Also, nothing against the others, but Mauricio is the man! My hair is typically unmanageable and he somehow makes it look great every time. Moved to Santa Monica a year ago, haven’t gone anywhere else!

When I arrived in LA I shopped around five or six different barbers, but happily settled after having my hair cut by Mauricio, and have been going back for a year now.

When I first moved to LA several years ago, this place was walking distance from my apartment at the time and had great Unilocal reviews (5* then, 5* now), so I checked it out — walked in and Scott Riffe was the barber who had a free appointment as a walk-​in.
3 years later and I haven’t left. Super chill guy, and excellent barber to boot. Potentially the best barber I’ve ever had, and I say that without hyperbole, having truly enjoyed, in my past, a those Aveda-​branded salons that offers highly-​trained stylists who give the full scalp massage, shampoo, etc experience, but at a price point almost double what you pay at Don’s.
Don’s is an old-​school, no-​nonsese joint that proves its quality in the amount of regulars that have been coming to all 3 the guys there. I’ve seen kids from 8 y/​o to gents in their 80s. A bit of everyone.
In my case, as I mentioned above, I’ve been going to Scott since coming here and I haven’t switched; he might be the best barber/​stylist I’ve ever been to. No exaggeration.
No-​nonsense $ 30 (as of Sep.2015) haircuts, cash, in and out, looks great every time.
Note: At Don’s it is almost an all-​guys clientele, but Scot has cut & styled ladies’ hair before, so that can probably done too!

Mauricio is the man. Spent just the right amount of time, was flexible and an overall great barber and person. I’ll be back from here on out.

Mauricio is my boy! Have gone here a few times and Mauricio always takes care of me. We have good conversation and even gives a nice shoulder massage after the haircut. Always leave feeling fresh.

Been getting my hair cut by Scott the last few months and he’s great! Very friendly and professional but better than that, he knows hair. My mom owned a salon for 25 years so I’ve been around it a lot and Scott really knows his stuff and knows how to make you look good no matter what kind of hair you have. I’ve been growing my hair out the last year and came in looking like a caveman, and left looking like a gentlemen without taking too much hair off. Thanks Scott!

I’ve been to Don’s twice now, and Mauricio does an awesome job cutting hair. He has great attention to detail and takes his time to make sure you walk out looking great.

Mauricio was awesome. Super nice guy, and an even better barber. Close attention to his lines, great with the clippers and shears. I went to him for the first time today and I will be making the trek from Marina del Rey every few weeks to sit back in his chair.
The shop is a no-​nonsense, hole-​in-​the-​wall barbershop; just the way they should be. No trying to get you to buy product, or trying to get you out the door as quickly as possible.
Pro-​tip: It’s not technically cash only, they use Square on their phones, BUT I know Square users pay a sizable processing fee and I felt bad for making him swipe mine so try and bring cash if you can.

Expert cuts with a great eye for detail! Been coming to see Scott for years now and can honestly say I would never go anywhere else. I’ve paid $ 100 plus for cuts and I’ve never received as many compliments as I do after every cut I’ve received rom Scott. Despite my combination hair of wavy and straight, I always walk out feeling like a million bucks and look great too. Try Scott once and you’ll see. You can get a great cut and not spend $ 125!

I only trust my hair with one person… his name is Mauricio. I’ve been going to him for a year now. Before that, I went all over the westside. Gone to Tel’s, Berkeley and a few other barbershops until I finally found my man.
I have thick and straight Asian hair. If the cut is improper, than I get a weird fro going on. No gel will tame the beast. I just look messy until my hair grows out.
I’ve tried a few iterations in style and Mauricio can translate the description of my cut into reality. He takes his time. Usually he will do an initial cut, wash my hair, and finish it off. I’ve never been disappointed. Can’t go wrong with any barber in this place. No frills, just in-​and-​out with a perfect cut.

I started coming to Don’s Cutting for about 8 months now. Mauricio has done a great job every time. He is very professional and easy going.
I normally come during my lunch break. I work in a office and I also style my hair in the mornings. Mauricio always washes it out so there are no mistakes. He also styles it so I can go back to work again with my hair looking good.
Another reason why I like coming to Mauricio is that he always blows out all the cut hair off my head so that I don’t have small pieces of hair falling on my clothes for the rest of the day. You can’t go wrong coming here.

Scott came highly recommended by a close friend who is always looking dapper.
Being a dapper dan man myself, I asked him where I could find a barber of such high caliber.
I could not be happier with my gentleman-​rocker hybrid cut.
