There aren’t enough stars to describe the excellence and mastery that is the handiwork of Dr. Cynthia Boxrud: She is not just a doctor, she is truly an artist with a gift for nuance. You will walk out of Dr. Boxrud’s office looking so much better, but you will still walk out looking like yourself. I’m so happy I found her and her amazing staff.

Dr Boxrud did a wonderful MOHs surgery next to my eye. Plus she has the best bedside manner. Highly recommend

I am so grateful for Dr. Boxrud’s talent and expertise. She was able to correct a few eye problems I had been living with. 16 years prior I had eyelid surgery with surgeon #1 supposably a top surgeon in Santa Monica who had left me unable to fully close my eyes. I found surgeon #2 another top surgeon in Beverly Hills who criticized surgeon #1 work. Yet he didn’t correct the problem and actually made it look more asymmetrical. So for years I have been unhappy, self conscious and forced to live with this problem. I was an ophthalmic patient when I had asked Dr. Boxrud if there was any way to correct my eyes. Also with my aging lids my straight eyelashes became problematic as they start to grow and would poke my eyes. I had bald patches from plucking them out daily. Godsend Dr. Boxrud now surgeon #3 told me that my eyes were uneven and that one needed lifting the other had a muscle that needed to be relaxed. Neither previous surgeon figured that out. By doing these corrections my eyelash problem should be alleviated. My surgery was in January 2015 and I am so thankful that my problems have been corrected. I also feel lighter in my lids, I’ve been told I look younger than my age of 54. And I am grateful to my insurance for covering the cost of my surgery. I am so fortunate and want to pay it forward… Do yourself a favor and go to see Dr. Boxrud. You’ll appreciate her straightforward way and her ability to enhance ones look to help make you look your very best. She has a special technique she uses for Asian eyes, the way the cuts are made to not to make us over rounded Caucasian eyes. I highly recommend Dr. Boxrud.

Dr. Boxrud was excellent. She is exactly what I look for in a Doctor. She was straightforward, knowledgeable, answered my questions, and she reassured me when I could have started to worry. Her staff was amazing and efficient during the entire process, scheduling, office visits, coordination with off site testing and insurance providers, etc…

I’m very surprised to see that Dr. Boxrud is still in business. She operated on my eyelids a few years ago. First, when i walked into the surgery room, I saw an open garbage container filled with the previous patient’s blood and wierd fatty tissue. Horrified, I ran out. She caught me down the hall and convinced me to come back. I wish I’d followed my intuition.
Her hand must have slipped during the surgery because rather than a nice cut in my eyelid crease, she cut down too low and crooked. Turns out, she cut a muscle and I had to have two surgeries to fix the droopy eyelid she created. She is not an honest person and never owned up to it. Instead she had a flimsy excuse about the shape of my eye.
Her aftercare was terrible! I woke up one morning a week later and both the incisions in my eyelids were opened up and bleeding. I kept calling the office. It was early, but there was no
one answering her service line and no emergency phone number to call. I drove over to her office and waited outside on the floor until they came in. Even though my incisions were open and bloody, she made me leave and said to come back at 3:00 PM. Then, while attempting to fix it, she kept having to stop because she kept realizing that she didn’t have the right instruments– they were in another room.
After all that, I had to have another minor surgery. Because she was so inept, she caused something called a «dog ear”(a piece of skin that sticks out).
She is an extremely charming woman and will try to talk you into the fact that she’s brilliant.
Do not trust her with anything more than botox!!! Maybe not even that.
I now have everything done at the fabulous Lasky Clinic in Beverly Hills. Go there!!!

I stand 100% by everything I wrote. It wasn’t that ‘I felt’ I had a bad experience… I did have a bad experience. Say what you will; post-​op was handled very, very poorly, I will NOT be returning and will not recommend this doctor to anyone… FIN

I could recommend Dr. Boxrud 1,000 times and still not have exercised my effusiveness! She’s wonderful! Dr. Boxrud exemplifies all the attributes that doctors should possess, and then surpasses…
I was referred to her by my primary physician a couple of years ago, but as a new patient, couldn’t get an appointment for a couple of months. I was impatient and made an appointment elsewhere. What a mistake!!! I eventually landed back with her as others said she was worth waiting for and so I did.
Not only is she brilliant, professional & talented, but she is patient, asks great questions, is a great listener, and is completely empathetic. I immediately felt at ease and knew I was in great, capable, and caring hands.
Last week I had the requisite surgery and all I can say is WOW! The only pain I felt was a little pinch when she removed the stitches today. The result is amazing.
So, one recommendation down, 999 more to go!!!

Dr. Boxrud and her staff are as good as it gets. I never think twice about recommending her to anyone. If you are thinking about having something done, don’t hesitate to consult with her. She’ll do a great job and she’ll be honest and tell you if you don’t even need it. Class act.

I’ve been suffering from terrible migraines for several years and Dr. Boxrud suggested Botox to relieve the migraines. I no longer have pain in my neck or head and visit her every few months. It’s been a life saver!

Went to see Dr Boxrud for a minor procedure and I was very happy I did. She was very caring and attentive to my needs. I would definitely return in my later years if I need something to rejuvenate me!

Dr. Boxrud was fantastic! Her office staff is attentive, her facilities are beautiful and clean, and Dr. Boxrud is compassionate and knowledgeable! She takes her time with each patient and made sure i left her office feeling comfortable and confident that she could correct my problem!

I have to say, I don’t want to see an ophthalmologist very often but if I have to go see one, Cynthia is definitely the only person I want to go to. She made me feel so safe and comfortable after I injured my eye. She even kissed me on the forehead. How sweet is that! I’m a big fan. She clearly cares and wants to dot he best job for her clients. I will never cheat on Cynthia as long as I live in LA.

I wish there was more than 5 stars. I turned 62 and had my work done by Dr. Boxrud 10 years ago. Today, I was at the Christmas event at Castle Green in Pasadend and someone asked me if I had ever had any work done (they heard me mention my age to someone else). In particular, they asked me about my eyes.
I told them that Dr Boxrud did my eyes, years ago, and they couldn’t believe it.
Amazing work… and my father was an Optholomolgist. I would not recommend anyone else.
She has done work on severalof my friends. Brilliant!!!

I have know Cynthia for over 15 years. At age 37 I had to have a small growth removed from my lower eye lid at which time Dr. Boxrud suggested she remove the fat from under my eyes, which is hereditary, and while they were not that severe at the time, it was a way for me to get it done while being efficient with my time and my money. The results were astounding and the recovery without any issues.
During the past 15 years, she has assisted and consulted with me, at no charge, on a number or other issues; blurring to my ocular nerve due to over maximizing my heart rate during intense exercise training; referral and discussion about other plastic surgery I was considering; general feedback on some other personal health issues. During all of those consults, not once did Dr. Boxrud ask for payment. She was open, inviting, willing to give me what I needed at the time.
I have just completed blepharoplasty with her last week and again I am satisfied beyond expectations not only with her work and the results, my eyes look amazing, but with her personable, professional and caring manner. She goes beyond making you feel comfortable. Every concern I had was allayed, every request fulfilled and every expectation surpassed.
I would recommend her, no it is beyond recommending, I will never go anywhere else when it comes to finding an excellent and extensively trained surgeon, because not only will she get the job done, she will do it with grace.

I have been going to Dr. Boxrud ever since she did remarkable work on me when I was on the show «10 Years Younger» in 2008. She did an amazing job with my double eye lift, fat transfer and injectables.
From the first moment I met Dr. Boxrud, I felt a sense of connection and trust. There is no explaining when you happen upon a doctor that resonates with you, it’s nothing short of a relief, really. For me, that resonant moment remains in the form of commitment and loyalty for years. A stable relationship with a stable and loving, caring doctor is crucial. At least, that’s my opinion.
With this review, I hope to spark the interest of any new patients that might want to go pay a visit to Dr. Boxrud. She is kind, takes her time, very thorough and genuinely caring and attentive to her patients.
That said, I highly recommend Dr. Boxrud to any and all reading this review. At least go in for a consultation if you’re not sure, that is where the foundation starts.

I’ve been going to Dr. Boxrud since 2001, and she is hands down my favorite doctor, period. Other physicians should take a cue from her, as she is smart, warm and very caring.
I don’t know about the two people who gave her one star. There must be something wrong with them. I have referred many people to Dr. B, and all have had nothing but great treatment from her.
Dr. B is beyond 5 stars. She is the best!

Dr. Boxrud is a great person and a great doctor. I think those two things are interwoven. She’s practical, caring & not without a sense of humor. She’s a knowledgable eye doctor & surgeon, I referred an older relative to her for surgery and it went beautifully.
She is always looking for a way to make things work for her patients — and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I originally chose Dr. Boxrud (in June of 2006) based on enthusiastic responses from other doctors I respected. And I am very glad I did. Her combination of thorough medical knowledge coupled with her judgement and artistry gave me the best possible results.
I have consulted her or been treated by her for occular problems, eye and facial plastic surgery and superficial skin disorders. She has become one of the few medical opinions I know I can rely on.
Another telling thing about a doctor is the staff she maintains and trains. She is one of only 3 doctors I have seen in my life whose staff reflects the same level of care and competence that Dr. Boxrud, herself, does.
I encourage anyone to meet with her and am confident you will be in good hands.
