Hidden away in the quiet serenity & seclusion of Santa Monica’s Colorado Center is a unique martial arts school specializing in the professional instruction of Kids that caters to Adults too. Westside families can take advantage of our partnership with TriFit Club and Studios, one of LA Weekly’s Top Gyms, with Los Angeles Magazine’s 2014 Best Lap Pool, and TrüYoga & Spa, Santa Monica’s first ‘green’ yoga studio!
We are a traditional school with a curriculum rooted in Tae Kwon Do & HapKiDo, but also offer training in Escrima, Arnis & Kali. Adult Students also enjoy Member Benefits at TriFit, including Free Yoga Classes, and use of the Gym, Pool, and a variety of complimentary group exercise classes!
Our Age-Appropriate Kids Program is outstanding, and we have separate classes for Teens & Adults too. Classes are small to ensure more individualized attention, and are a great way to get Fit & Lean for 2015!

History
Established in 2010.
Master Alonzo, also formerly known as Sensei Richard, has provided professional martial arts instruction to children through different martial arts schools on the Westside since 1995, but has been teaching children since 1991. He has a traditional martial arts background from a school with a strong reputation for teaching in Los Angeles since 1973. His unique method for kids balances discipline & challenging physical activities with witty humor & ingenuity. Even for adults, classes are fun, physically challenging, and a true learning experience.

Business Owner
Master Richard A. is a former Power Ranger Stunt Performer with 30 years of martial arts experience and 20 years of experience effectively teaching children. He originally developed his teaching method in 1991 to attract at-risk youth to martial arts classes through after school enrichment programs while at UC Berkeley. His method of teaching children balanced discipline & challenging physical activities with witty humor & simple ingenuity. He applies many of these same attributes to his adult classes, and challenges all of his students to maintain high standards of excellence in other areas of their lives.
