The San Luis Sports Therapy — Santa Maria location is an outpatient physical therapy clinic specialized in musculoskeltal injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary and vestibular disorders, women’s health conditions, sports specific rehabilitation and aquatic therapy. The Santa Maria location is one of the few clinics in San Luis Obispo County offering aquatic therapy and uses the indoor pool at their shared facility with Western Village Health Club.
History
Established in 1999.
San Luis Sports Therapy was acquired by Jim Glinn, Jr. in 1999 in San Luis Obispo. Jim’s vision was to create a collaborative, community involved team that prioritized patient care above all else and also had fun working together to change the lives of those they treated. From his vision grew a dynamic, focused and passionate group of professionals that have helped countless people return to active lifestyles. The SLST-Santa Maria team is currently comprised of two physical therapists from diverse backgrounds striving to improve the lives of those they touch; boasting Doctoral Educations, Board Certifications in Orthopedics, completion of Orthopedic Residency, and Continuing Education in Sports Specific Rehabilitation.
Meet the Manager
Bryan W.
Manager
Bryan knew that he wanted to become a physical therapist since high school. He attended Nazareth College in Rochester, New York; where he received his Bachelors of Science in Health Science and went on to receive his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Soon after graduating, he joined San Luis Sports Therapy. Keeping aligned with the goals of the physical therapy profession, Bryan attended Western University of Health Science where he obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is recognized as a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association. His post-graduate work includes attending courses involving manual therapy, exercise interventions and movement analysis. He has experience treating patients of all levels, from those with a more sedentary lifestyle to intercollegiate athletes. He enjoys the variety that goes along with being in a general orthopedic practice. He strives to get his patients back to doing the activities that they love.
