History
Established in 1978.
Tin-Née-Ann (tin knee ann) Trading Company was named after the Island of Tinian in the South Pacific, where the Navajo Code Talkers were stationed during World War II.
The original Tinnie Ann Trading Post was located on the Navajo Reservation. The Christen family stumbled on it (quite deserted) in about 1969. When the family hobby of collecting and trading for fine Indian Arts and Crafts developed into a business in 1975, the old deserted trading post with the unusual name came to mind as the perfect name.
In 1978 the perfect name was changed slightly to prevent Dee from going through life as Tiny Annie. Now working on our third generation of Indian Traders, Tin-Née-Ann is still a home owned, family run operation specializing in fast friendly service, fair prices and quality merchandise.
