Without a doubt THE best dentist that I have ever been to – in fact, the visit was fun (great sense of humor and the best laugh, ever), pleasurable, intelligent, but serious, detailed and very focused when it came to the matter in hand of fixing (actually replacing) the chipped veneer on my front tooth. Apart from being one of THE nicest and genuine guys around, and that includes his wonderful staff who obviously loves working there, he has THE best State-​Of-​The-​Art facility, probably in New Mexico. I came in pretty down with this chipped tooth, and he said he could give me a new procedure — even better than the old veneer (which it is) in a few hours because he had invested in the best digital equipment. And it turned out to be THE best procedure that I’ve ever had. He even took me into the lab and showed me this fantastic equipment that was digitally «honing» my new tooth.
Believe me, I can’t wait to go back for a cleaning, and to tell all my friends, far and wide to sign up!
PS… And not to forget, the music is customized (choice) for each patient.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Cho for about 4 years. We started with him for routine dental hygiene and the occasional tooth repair. His office accepts our dental insurance and was on their list of Dentists in Santa Fe. We decided to give him a try.
His office is well staffed with friendly, responsive and knowledgable long term team members. They are easy to deal with and the office setting is modern and comfortable, well lit and furnished. The private parking lot is adequate and secure with easy access to St. Francis off Siringo and Brothers.
The resident dental hygienist is knowledgable, does a good job and will make recommendations to the patient and to Dr. Cho regarding the need for further examination or work if filling or repair appear to be needed. Basic cleaning is done by appointment and is usually done quickly.
Routine work such as fillings might be done same day as discovery, schedule permitting. More complex work is evaluated by Dr. Cho and scheduled with consideration for the patients comfort and personal time limits. Dealing with dental issues causing pain will be addressed immediately and appropriately after discussion with Dr. Cho. Procedures such as implants may require advance planning and they are quite good at this.
The office is equipped with state of the art equipment for generating crowns or crown replacements, computerized X-​Ray equipment to enhance patient comfort while providing a better product for analysis. They can even do full scan views, a vital tool for planning implant or denture work. The office is amazingly well equipped.
He is seriously dedicated to his work, thoughtful and considerate of his patients and an intelligent and conversant in his demeanor. He shares a good sense of humor with his patients and is very sensitive to their comfort in the chair. His team of technicians and assistants are friendly and knowledgeable as well… even considering your musical taste if you’d like music in the room during your visit.
Summing it up, it’s a good office with good staff and a top notch Dentist. We like it and are happy with their services in every way.

Dr. Cho has been my dentist for over 17 years. He is amazing dentist! He is knowledgeable, confident, honest, carrying, he is fun to converse with and most of all he does amazing work, for ex., when I saw other dentist while getting my clean up and check up, they all ask: ‘who this this work’? It’s great work! Seven years ago I moved to WA state, and I make special trips to Santa Fe once a year to see him for my dental work. It’s worth it, and I love his office staff!

Yikes! Wish I’d had a better experience than other reviewers. I found Cho to be aggressive, pushy, and ultimately sloppy. He did a hasty filling that another dentist later tut-​tutted. Billing was confusing and misleading. Worst of all, when swapping bad-​dentist stories with a co-​worker, we discovered we’d both had trauma with Dr. Cho. I’ve heard similar things about this office around the community, and am taking the time to write this review to protect others. Don’t let the fancy office space dissuade you; spare yourself and your pearlies.

I told Dr. Cho that I read great reviews on Unilocal about him and that if he did a bad job I would give him a bad review. Obviously everything went very well! 5 stars all the way. Dr. Cho is friendly and upfront, his staff is friendly and caring, and the premises are well maintained.
Oh, right, the dentist stuff. He explained everything thoroughly; making sure I knew my options. I am happy with my crown, no pain! Excellent all around. Thanks Dr. Cho and staff!

A perfect experience. Great office, great staff, great dentist. What else can I say?

Dr. Cho has totally changed my life. He was the first dentist that ever diagnosed me with TMJ (and I’ve had quite a few). I’ve woken up with a headache every single day for years not knowing what caused them.
Since he has been treating me, my headaches have diminished and I
wake up feeling great. PLEASE get your TMJ treated, the cost is
worth it.

I did not care for Dr. Cho’s services. I went to him for some cavity filiings, which he did a horrible job of, they were poking out in strange places and fell out 9 months later. Recommended that I have a strangely placed tooth removed because it had a bad cavity and that I get an implant immediately put in, but after two consultations with two different oral surgeons I was told that there is absolutely no cavity and that it was completely unneccesary. The worst part is that I have a severe dental phobia (due to a bad oral surgery experience) and just asked him to tell me what he was doing before he did it, which he never did, making me feel extreme anxiety and fear, I wasn’t asking that much, considering that he IS a dentist and must deal with similar patients on a daily basis. I would not recommend him, between the shoddy work, the trying to get me to get expensive procedures that aren’t necessary, and his horrid bedside manner.

Dr. Cho is absolutely the best dentist I’ve ever had. They are super-​friendly in the office and the staff is terrific. Dr. Cho is very accommodating (they fit me in neatly during an emergency), thorough and a perfectionist in his work. I highly recommend him!

Went to Dr Cho for the first time last week to have him take a look at a cracked filling. Sure enough, it’s crown-​time for me– Less 50% from insurance, total bill estimate is $ 750– about same price as San Jose–
Dr Cho was pleasant and thorough, respectful and on time. All good traits– so far so good! He was referred to us from Karen Ho DDS in San Jose.
5÷17÷10 Edit– halfway through the crown experience and reporting in: This is a Good Dentist! he was thorough with the pain meds, always a consideration for me ’cause my body processes them quicker than normal and no one ever believes me until I’m writhing in pain– but Dr Cho understood and took appropriate action. Yay !
I have the temp tooth in right now and fits fine and doesn’t hurt. I will be back next week to get the permanent tooth in, I’m not worried as this has been a good experience.
⁶⁄₃ edit — Well my nerve endings betrayed me, so I ended up having to get a root canal– fortunately it happened before the perm. crown was put on, and Dr Cho’s office fit me in last-​minute so I wouldn’t be in pain. $ 500 was the price on this half of the work, so total bill has been about $ 1200. YIKES, but at least Dr Cho does great work.

Dr. Theodore Cho is a very talented, state-​of-​the-​art dentist in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His office is very friendly and cares for his patients’ dental emergencies. You will find one of the nicest dental hygienists there, as well. One example of Dr. Cho’s caring professionalism is the accurate and detailed instructions he gives after any surgical procedure.
