I was very impressed with Suzy standing up for me against a Caucasian male who was degrading towards females. This is one for the females.

I typically will not do a review unless it’s absolutely necessary I found this repair shop on Unilocal and because of the reviews decided that I would give them a call. I’m only going to give the facts and that’s all.
I called to see if they could replace a serpentine belt and they said yes they could, and it would be about 30 minutes of time. They were about $ 50 cheaper then the Nissan dealership. The people were very friendly and very helpful and offered to loan me their car but I thought if this isn’t going to take that long then what was the point. I appreciated their sincerity and kindness. The thing that I did not like was the fact that I was told that this would take 30 minutes and in actuality it took three hours. In the end I was told that it was because they were trying to torque the tension release in the wrong place. I feel like I need to take my vehicle to Nissan tomorrow to get them to look at this to make sure that it was done correctly. The second thing that was upsetting was that my vehicle reeked of cigarette smoke. The whole business smelled like cigarette smoke. Like I said these are very nice people and I’m sure that they try very hard doing what they do but I would’ve appreciated if they didn’t have the tools or the knowledge to get the vehicle taken care of like it should’ve been then I should’ve been given the option of taking it to the dealership rather than wasting all my afternoon.

Like a few other reviewers, I found this auto repair while frantically searching Unilocal on the road. Our car had started making a troubling noise and we needed to get it checked out since we have several more hundreds of miles to drive. If you are in a similar situation, set your GPS and get over there.
Everyone here is very knowledgeable and professional. They were able to correctly diagnose the problem and order the needed part in the same day. They had us back on the road the following afternoon. Before we left, the owner gave us great advice to make sure our car was truly running well again (it was) and just general maintenance advice about our car that people don’t usually tell you. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful place to bring your car for repair! I just moved here from Vermont and wanted to carefully select an auto repair shop that I could trust! Well, I found more than that here thanks to all the wonderful Unilocal reviews! Rudy and his crew are outstanding! From the second I walked in I felt immediately at home! After driving well over 2,000 miles, my brakes were pretty much shot. Initial diagnosis of my squeaking car was free! Rudy walked me through the whole process from start to finish! He gave me an estimate first and let me think on it overnight! He gave me «rental» free of charge to drive home to, as I live a fair distance East of Santa Fe. I called back the next morning, deciding on what I’d like to have fixed and my car was ready to go in no time! Santa Fe Auto Repair uses quality parts and does an amazing job! I’ve never been treated so well! Thank you so much everybody! I will certainly be using Santa Fe Auto Parts as my go-​to from now on!

What nice people Suzy and Rudy are! Our daughter’s Jeep conked out and ended up needing to be retired but SF Auto Repair went out of their way to make sure the original diagnosis on it was legitimate (from dealership). We had the Jeep transported to us over 1,100 miles away, which took a couple weeks to arrange for a truck to pick it up. SF Auto Repair graciously allowed the Jeep to be at their premises and assisted with getting it picked up by the trucker. When I called to talk with Suzy, her main concern was the well-​being of our daughter to not be stranded. It’s great to know they are such good, caring people.

Found on Unilocal when our fuel pump went out last month driving through Santa Fe from Phoenix-​MInnesota. Met the owners before they opened at their shop the next morning and they quickly got my 2007 Yukon in to diagnose. They gave me a fair estimate which my local AZ service guy verified was fair and stayed past their normal hours into the evening to get us out the same day. Luckily we stayed at the Old Santa Fe (awesome breakfast burrito bar) in which was walking distance to everything downtown where we spent the day! After a second night in town we were on the road early the next morning! Thanks again you guys! You were truly a relief given the bad situation we were in!

Santa Fe Auto Repair did a professional job in diagnosing and fixing my car, which was a relief considering that I was on vacation and needed my car repaired to get back to California. They pretty quickly found that several of my fuses were burnt out and drove to several locations around town as one of the fuses was a specialty item. My car still had some performance issues and they went the extra mile literally providing a free diagnostic to make sure my car would make it home. My car now operates at 100% thanks to them.

On a road trip in my van with two kids and a dog. Van broke down on a Friday afternoon, they got me rolling out by Saturday morning. Fixed it up right and were back in action. Super appreciate the small family vibe and they went out of their way to keep us from being stranded. Would definitely return. Felt Small and trustworthy.

I came here because I was on a roadtrip and my check engine light came on and my preasure tire was blinking on the road, too. They charge me $ 109 to tighten a nut and they said everything was fine with the tires and adviced me to ignore the blinking light. Few days later on the roadtrip, one of my tires blew up while driving. I wouldn’t stop there again

Okay. Look no further for reliable, honest work done here in Santa Fe at reasonable rates. Rudy makes a point at investigating the problem (s) with your car and even goes over the problem with you before starting any work. His turn-​around time is reasonable but depending on parts needed it may cause some minor delay. I had some power steering issues and had fluid dripping on the garage floor (caused by Jiffy Lube’s mechanic) and some wheel play in the steering rack. After I described what was happening with my car Rudy dug in and had his mechanic confirm I had steering rack issues.
I’m testing out the work now and after doing some easy off-​roading, have found the ride solid and comfortable. Give Rudy a try for your next car service – you’ll be glad you did!

Such a spectacular business. I walked in on Monday morning and explained my situation to Rudy, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and SO FRIENDLY. Rudy and Suzie both treated me like family, and managed to work on my van super quickly with an already packed schedule just before the 4^th of July. They found ways to save me money on my van while I was driving cross-​country, while still making sure it was totally safe to drive. These guys are amazing!!! 6 stars!

My in laws had borrowed a car from us (in Albuquerque) to drive to Colorado. Just north of Santa Fe it stopped dead. On a Sunday. Surprisingly Santa Fe auto repair answered their phone, and arranged for us to have the car dropped off at their shop. They were very accommodating, and were even planning on checking it out that afternoon. We ended up having the car towed all the way back to Albuquerque and they were equally as nice when we called back to tell them that we did not need them to look at it. I am adding them to my list of contact should we ever have car trouble while in Santa Fe again. Thanks again!

I completely trust Suzie and Rudy with anything having to be done with my 2 cars.
They have replaced a transmission, water pump, fuel pump, trail or axle etc .

Rudy rocks! Our car broke down on a long trip, he checked it out for us and, when he didn’t have the part he told is who could do it for us. He even called us later that night and asked us if we had gotten it repaired. Excellent service!

Being a female who doesn’t know that much about cars it sucks when you have to try and take care of issues with yours. After moving to Santa Fe and not having somebody I could trust, I google searched for mechanics and this one popped up on Unilocal.I read the reviews and they were all true. Taking my car to Santa Fe Auto Repair was great. Friendly staff and honest. Rudy explained everything in the simplest way possible and really took care of my car for me. I highly recommend this place to any one who has had issues with finding a good and trustworthy mechanic. Amazing service in every aspect. :)

We were on a road trip from Los Angeles to Austin in our Dodge pickup truck, and by the time we were approaching a planned two day stay in Santa Fe, it was clear that the brakes and a few other things needed work. From the review on Unilocal,I selected Santa Fe Auto Repair, called and reached Sarah. Rudy and Susie are partners and Sarah is Susie’s daughter — their shop is a family affair! She was pleasant and told us to come in and they very warmly took us in. Rudy immediately went to look at the truck and came up with a diagnosis that I expected — front rotors/​pads, stuck thermostat, bad fan clutch, some other stuff. Since we were on vacation, they had Uncle Donnie drive us to downtown Santa Fe so that we could enjoy the artsy Santa Fe community and have fun while they worked on it. They were able to get everything done the same day except for the fan clutch, which they were unable to get the part until the next morning. Rudy offered for Uncle Donnie to drive us back to the Buffalo Thunder Hilton where we were staying for $ 20, which we were happy to do, otherwise we would have had to wait a long time for the hotel shuttle — the hotel was about a 15 mile drive away, so $ 20 was a bargain. They had everything done the next day by noon as promised, and Rudy showed us the bad parts and went over everything they did, with which I concurred. When they delivered the truck, they had washed all of our road-​trip grime off of it and we had clean windows! We had an uneventful drive from Santa Fe home to Austin, and the truck worked perfectly. Rudy even called a few days later to make sure everything was OK, and insisted that we call him if we needed automotive advice. They delivered a superb product with superb customer service, fair prices, and if I find myself needing automotive work in Santa Fe, I would call them immediately. Heck, I think I would just stop by to say hello!

I’m from LA, and the day I left to drive home, I called and asked Rudy if he could take a look at the ‘coughing’ noise my engine was making. After I dropped it off, he not only fixed the problem (spark plugs) in less than an hour, but he showed me the broken parts and wrote down a list of car maintenance tasks I should do in the future. He could’ve easily said «Oh you also need your left engine ventricle promantal-​18 fixed and it’ll cost $ 2000» and I would’ve believed him. But he didn’t! He was quick, honest, and very informative. Thanks Rudy! Wish you were in LA so I could’ve had you as my go-​to mechanic in the future.

After researching different auto mechanics in Santa Fe, I decided to go with Santa Fe Auto Repair. I’m so glad that I did. Rudy is very trustworthy. He genuinely cares for his customers and wants the best for them. He drove me back to work and made sure that I had a way back to the shop after work.
When I went in, all I asked for was an oil change. When I got the car back, the oil had been changed and the car had been cleaned! Rudy also explained to me that he saw an oil leak. He was very reassuring (that my car wouldn’t blow up), but he also urged me to get it looked at. As I said above, Rudy is extremely trust worthy. I’ve had a few bad experiences with mechanics (who hasn’t?) but not at Santa Fe Auto Repair. I feel lucky to have such a great mechanic here in Santa Fe.

I was in Santa Fe for a couple months on business, and ended up needing a TON of work on my 12-​year-​old car. My a/​c decided to die, and after calling around to many shops in Santa Fe (both national chains and local shops), I went with Santa Fe Auto Repair. Rudy’s numbers were MORE than reasonable in my opinion. I have a fantastic car guy back home in Chicago, but Rudy did something I’d never seen before: he did a show and tell for me! When he took a look at repairing my a/​c, he also discovered that I was leaking oil pretty badly on an axle. I was bummed and know NOTHING about cars, so to show me, he hoisted the car up, so I could see the good non-​leaking axle and then the opposite bad one. It was clear that it was in bad shape. So, I totally trusted him to fix it. He did all the work for a super reasonable price, and worked with me when it came to my weird work schedule.
I am so grateful to Santa Fe Auto repair, because the car has been great since! Thanks, guys. I hope more people come your way!!!

On a Friday afternoon, our car was broken into and the sidewindow was broken. We were from out of town and we needed the window fixed ASAP. At 5 PM, on a Friday, no one wanted to service our car. Rudy stayed late at the his repair center and fixed the window so we could get back on the road. Rudy did not have to do it. He did because he cares about his customers.
