I called Paul’s Plumbing in Jan, 2016 and spoke to Paul himself. He said he would be at my house the next morning between 10 and 11am. I took the day off work. Around 11am his office called to say he was running late. I said «No problem». At 1:30 pm Pail called me for directions. He claimed that he didn’t realize that I lived in Glorieta –even though we had talked about it the afternoon before. He said he would send another plumber that was in El Dorado and that he would call me «right right back». He never did. At 3pm I called Paul again. He said he thought the plumber was already at my house and he would call me“right right back”. He never called. He said the other plumber would call. He never did. At this point Paul stopped answering my calls and ignored my texts. At 6:30pm I called the office. The woman swore they were still coming and I would get a call very soon. No one called.
I thought for sure I would hear from them the next morning to make things right! But nothing! I went to work and told my co-​workers about my experience. Some of them had similar stories including one woman who had such a horrific experience with Paul that she had to get better business bureau involved!!!
Do not call this company!!! I lost a day of work and was strung along for nine hours for nothing-​not even an apology!!!
In the end I feel glad Paul’s plumbing never touched my home! The total mess that could have resulted is not something I would have enjoyed dealing with!

Labor to install a new bathtub in our 2^nd floor bathroom ran about $ 700. About a month later I heard water running in our house. There was water pouring through the ceiling into the first floor of our house. Ceiling destroyed. Obviously very upsetting and stressful. Took several calls to get anyone to come out. When someone did come (not the same technician who had installed the tub) he was friendly enough but had not come prepared to fix the issue. Had to wait. Had to make many more calls to get someone to come out. They could never seem to commit to a time. Meanwhile we are down 2 bathrooms in our house, as this leaked into our downstairs bathroom. The fact that water was sitting in our ceiling didn’t seem to help them hurry. Finally the problem was resolved with the plumbing, but the ceiling damage remained. Different person came (after we requested) to repair the Sheetrock. However his plan was to simply patch it. Our entire ceiling was wet! You can’t leave wet Sheetrock in the ceiling. Had to request he replace the whole ceiling. During this, he dinged up our walls and door and got Sheetrock mud on our freshly painted walls. My biggest complaint is that during all of this, never once was there an apology from anyone we interacted with. It would have gone a long ways.

I first used Paul’s Plumbing in December of 2014, he replaced my boiler for $ 7,268. I used him again at the end of May 2015 to replace two water heater valves for $ 395. I asked for a quote to add an outdoor faucet just outside my kitchen sink and he gave me a phone quote of $ 400 (important to note he never saw the area where the work was to be done & his employee only saw the area outside the house). Two weeks later I asked him to do the work. He was over an hour late and never called, I had to call him. The job was much simpler as I already had an unused, extra t-​valve to the cold water to attach to under the kitchen sink. His worker (who was a very nice and competent guy) took one hour to do the job. I signed and approved the work. My husband and I thought it was a bigger job so he tried to discuss a more fair price. Paul came up with the justification that his employee had to run to Rio Rancho at the last minute for my faucet to justify the $ 432 bill. He was not willing to work with us when we felt we were being overcharged. This is why we will not use or recommend him. We are not opposed to paying fair prices for fair services and his people were always very nice but we do not trust him to be fair particularly since we brought so much service to his company in the past 6 months. As we are not plumbers, we assumed because of all the work he has done for us in the past and him knowing our home, that he would make a reasonable estimate as to the cost. Unfortunately, he is not the Plumber for us.
