After coming into Moon Rabbit Toys, I WISH I were as much into board games as my husband is. The selection here is outstanding, and I think it’s so cool that they have open box games to look at and demo. My husband and I were looking at a really neat new game and the owner enthusiastically took out the demo box and explained how the game works to us. She knows her games! And her enthusiasm was contagious… like I almost thought for a minute I would like to play strategy board games, haha. I really think I might have to give some a second try now after talking with the owner :) This shop made my husband’s day, so I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes board games.

My family and I have been visiting Moon Rabbit for years. We literally plan day trips from Albuquerque to Santa Fe just to visit this amazing toy store. If you are a lover of games, this is the place to be. The owner is one of the warmest and friendliest people you could ever meet. Regardless of when we go she always takes the time to educate us on different games and helps us when we have questions regarding games we have purchased in the past. We adore that the selection is unique and you can always stay to play a game or two to test them out or just have a fun time with the family. Overall, Moon Rabbit is truly a hidden gem and a place we will continue to visit years to come!!!

Decent little shop I must say.
I do try and «keep it local» so I do some Xmas shopping here. I do like visiting the plaza as there isn’t to much else to do in SF.
The staff is very laid back, would have given 5 stars but some of the stuff is just a little pricey, but its worth it to get quality stuff.
Will definitely be back to do more christmas shopping this season.

Best game store ever!!! I love this place.
Moved here a year ago, walked into the store and Tim excitedly showed us some games and described them in exquisite detail. He showed us the game table and let us play a game to see if we liked it. We loved it and I’ve been back about once a month since, looking for new games to play and buy!
Love that you can try before you buy. Also love how knowledgable the clerks are. Fantastic!

Always a great time stopping by this wonderful place. Staff is always helpful showing us how various games work. We always find something fun to buy when we are in town and several of our purchases have become family favorites especially Mammals VS Reptiles

We came here to build lasting memories with my four favorite Angels. I thought it would be nice to spoil them before heading back to Texas. Unfortunately the lady working, Shana, was incredibly rude and made the 6 year old very uncomfortable. Because of this we decided to leave and I took the girls to another store. It would be nice if she decided to apologize.

My fiancé and I spent a few days in Santa Fe and forgot to bring any card or board games along for the quiet evenings after skiing and being touristy. Luckily we found Moon Rabbit! We went in looking for an inexpensive card game and they had an excellent selection. The woman at the register came up and told us we could ask her any questions, and sample any of the games they had on the wall– they had open samples of each. She even offered to teach us the rules of any of them, which I was impressed by– there were quite a few games. We ended up picking the basic version of Fluxx, and as soon as she saw it in our hands she was opening up a fan folder to dig out a bonus card for us. We chatted about the games we like and ended up picking the Chthulhu version on her suggestion (complete with a bonus card for that set) and were completely satisfied. Overall our trip to Moon Rabbit Toys was another great stop during a great trip and we’d suggest it to anyone who was looking for toys or games in the area.

Wow, The woman who was working the front (I believe Shana is her name) is not only very rude but she’s a total idiot. I brought my 4 little nieces in the store to buy a bunch of toys. I even called 20 minutes before to let her know we’re coming and that they each had a $ 25 limit, totaling $ 100. We come in and right away my dog picks up a small stuffed animal. She says «that’s crazy my dog picks up that same one evert time he comes in too!» I smile and say, «how much is it»? The lady says, «it doesn’t matter how much it costs because you’re buying it now, you’re dog can’t just pick up a toy like that, you need to pay for it». I smiled, gave her the $ 10.00 and told the kids we were going elsewhere. I ended up happily spending $ 150 and the toy store down the street. Nice job lady! Ps. The kids thought she was creepy lol good luck

We’ve been coming here since before our three year old son was born and continue to come whenever we come to town. A wonderful selection of unconventional toys and games. Friendly staff who are wonderful with our little guy. We recommend to everyone.

After looking at several other toy and game stores, we found what we were looking for here at Moon Rabbit — wooden jigsaw puzzles. And not just any puzzles, but Liberty Puzzles, probably the best puzzle maker today, and made in the US (in Colorado). The proprietors were friendly and chatty and we were impressed with their variety of stuff. We’ll make them a regular stop when we visit Santa Fe.

What a great store! When we went in, the employees were playing one of the games they sell; always a good sign. As soon as we walked in, they stopped what they were doing in order to help us out. They were extremely knowledgeable about their product, were able to recommend some games we had never heard of, and helped us order a specific, hard-​to-​find foreign game.
Very impressed, and will be back soon.

The store carries the most unique games. They have a table set up and some opened games so you can play before purchase. The owner is very knowledgable of her games and gives best recommendations. We don’t live in Santa Fe but I wish Moon Rabbit was in my city!

I wasn’t a huge fan of the store in its previous location, but for some reason, since they moved to the other side of the shopping center, everything has improved.
I came in recently to have a peek at some of the board games they have in stock, and I was greeted by a very friendly lady who was extremely knowledgeable about the products they carry. She introduced me to a couple of new games that looked fun and went through the trouble of teaching me and my wife how to play.
All in all, I highly recommend this store for your local board gaming and toy needs. They have lifetime customers in us!

Moon Rabbit Toys is like a tiny, eclectic wonderland. When you walk into this upstairs shop just off the Santa Fe Plaza, you see mobiles and colorful creatures hanging from the ceiling, stuffed animals from hyenas to warthogs lining the walls, clever puzzles and toys you’ve maybe never seen anywhere else all over the shop. One wall is devoted to fascinating games suitable for adults as well as kids. There’s a good mix of stuff for boys as well as girls, and a lot of toys that weren’t gender specific, which I really liked, as the kids in my life aren’t Disney Princess types. The quirky proprietor, whose sense of humor I really loved, helped me find a toy for my brother’s picky son, a kid who has never been interested in toys or gifts hardly at all. She shipped it to him all the way in NY and guess what? He totally loved it and my brother says he still plays with it all the time (a magnetic dartboard). I just love hanging out in there and messing around with the cool toys, and I’ve been tempted to get stuff for myself!

This store was a true gem in Santa Fe. All toys are so unique and extraordinary. Apparently most of them are either made in USA or trustworthy factories. The owner, Shana, was extremely friendly and helpful. We visited from Orange County, CA and stopped here just to visit-​turns out it was one of the most memorable places in Santa Fe.
Prices of items are reasonable and there is plenty of wild and wacky toys for everyone. Lots of rare games as well.
