History

Established in 2000.

Careers First launched back in 2000 when Shannon Moore Boniface decided it was time Santa Fe had a professionally run staffing agency that really listened to its clients. Prior to founding Careers First, Shannon had worked with several local placement agencies but was disappointed with their profit-​based decisions.

To set her new company apart, Shannon made a conscious choice for her company to be based on respecting clients needs and truly delivering first-​rate service as the priority; not just as a talking point, but as a practice. The agency was not set up to be made into a goliath firm — it has always been and continues to be a small, carefully run boutique agency.

Since 2000, Careers First has placed local professionals at more than 400 Northern New Mexico businesses. Shannon has now lived in Santa Fe for 20 years and has participated in dozens of different community events and organizations.
