History

Established in 1973.

Dick and Brenda Boddy started the firm, and it is now run by their son Brian, a certified Master Optician. The Boddy family are now 3^rd-​generation business owners in Santa Fe. With the addition of digital lens grinding in 2010 (we have the only digital laboratory in the state), and 3 upgrades since, we are certain we offer the most advanced progressive lens designs in the world. Combined with our outstanding frame selection, our expert adjustment and fitting skills, and unparalleled repair offerings, we feel it is very fair to claim to be the best optical shop around!

Business Owner

Acoma Optical is wholly owned by Brian Boddy. Brian Boddy is a third generation Santa Fe business owner who grew up in the optical industry at Acoma Optical. Brian has over 35 years of optical experience and is a Board Certified Master Optician, Fellow in the National Academy of Opticians, the only Optical Laboratories Association member in the state of New Mexico and is on the board of Regents for the Opticians Association of New Mexico.

Brian is personally involved in every aspect of the optical laboratory, digital lens grinding and retail optical business.
