I called AB1 and they said someone would be at my house within 20 minutes to fix the broken lock. Carlos, the super-​friendly technician, arrived sooner than that and fixed the lock in about 10 minutes. I will definitely call them the next time I have a lock problem.

This place is great. I had to get some duplicated keys and they took literally minutes. Another time I got locked out of my car and they came and got me in within 30 minutes. This place is a legendary business in Santa as it’s on Cerillos Rd. I highly recommend these guys with their 24⁄7 service.

On Saturday, October 4th at 4:45pm, I called AB-​1 Locksmiths and requested urgent service to open a locked home office that has no key. The gruff individual who answered the phone said that he would arrive to my house between 6pm and 7pm and open the lock for the fee of $ 95. I gave him my address and phone number and told him we would be waiting for him.
At 7:30pm, I called and left a message, and again at 8:45pm and 10pm. My calls were not returned. On Sunday, October 5th, I called again at 8:30am and my call was not returned.
When they finally called me at 9:30am (16 hours after my original call), the man on the phone was gruff once again, and barely apologetic. He seemed to be pained to say he was sorry.
This experience demonstrated AB-1’s lack of professionalism and customer service.

Nothing to complain about after 10 years of using their services. I’ve had three homes re-​keyed by ab1 and they do the best job
For the lowest prices. I’ve had maybe as much as 100 keys made by them and if I ever had a problem with any key they re cut it no questions. Also, I’ve had custom and import cars (with codes) and motorcycles re keyed by them with never a problem. One bike I had, nobody had the blank for, (antique Austrian motorcycle). but these guys found it and cut a perfect dupe. Also they have some great safes and installation service is top. The other guy? I’ve never been able to go into his store because it’s always closed.

I called AB1’s emergency 24 hr lockout number on Thursday morning at 5:30 am. I operate a B&B and was locked out of my kitchen. I received a call back on Saturday morning at 11am. Only a weak apology that the on call individual wasn’t available. Hopefully you never need them with less than 3 days notice. They deserve no stars but Unilocal requires at least one.

I took my Kia key in to get copied and the key code the Kia dealership gave me was not working whatsoever.
Eventually we got my original car key copied directly to the blank I’d brought.
The price was way lower than expected and I appreciate your patience and your kindness. Thank you Martin!

They dispatched a technician who met me at the designated appointment time and called just prior to dispatch. Barbara was extremely knowledgable and efficient! She even went the extra mile and lubricated a different lock as well as made an additional key for us. AB1 is our locksmith company!

These are the biggest tweaker lowlifes on planet Santa Fe (and that’s a hard spot to obtain on the totem pole.) They arrived over an hour late and double charged me once they obtained my Visa. For technical and logistical purposes I’m just going to end this review right here and let the professionals take the reins.

They charge wayyyy too much to duplicate keys. You can do better elsewhere.

This review is quite easy to write.
The whole process to get a key was easy and painless and lasted all of two minutes. I simply gave the employee the keys I needed duplicates of, hung back for a couple and he came back with the two keys. The price was nearly $ 6 with tax for both — perhaps expensive — but I don’t have much frame of reference here and hell, I’ll pay extra to avoid stepping foot in a WalMart any day of the week.
I’d be back again if ever in need of duplicate keys.
