Our History
We started in the early 1800’s in a dimly lit log cabin in the back hills of… okay it wasn’t quite that long ago and we are not quite that old… In 1981, Gary Gietz, our CEO, saw an opportunity in residential construction to build it better and to offer high quality products using a personal approach. Through the years, Gary continued to push the envelope in quality and overall home performance. In the late 90’s, he pioneered some of the first «built-in» energy efficiencies in a custom home. In 2009, Gary’s commitment to further develop home efficiency drove him to combine forces with the founder of Zero Energy, Michael Murphy, and marketing guru, Paul Hanson. Their shared passion to make a positive impact on the environment has allowed Zero Energy to make energy efficiency a reality for thousands of families.
