Miro Apartments

Consistent with the other reviews, this apartment community was not well thought out in relation to the HOA community that
Neighbors it.
I’ve lived here for 3 months and Parking is a nightmare, and their only solution is to park your additional vehicle outside the community on a public street, out of sight or they (Miro) will tow your vehicle. The rent here is high, and acquiring an additional parking space shouldn’t be an issue considering how much we pay.
Parking is the tip of the iceburg, the staff in the leasing office isn’t helpful, and offer no solutions.
The apartments themselves are riddle with issues, toilets that don’t flush, aircon that works well in one room and hardly at all in the others, a dishwasher that doesn’t drain right and floods the kitchen, and the exterior lights on the building are excessive and entirely too bright! …
If you’re considering the Miro, after they show you the lists of amenities ask them for the list of all things they don’t allow and then make your decision…
Still incredibly unsatisfied, still no solution for parking, and when you’re told that you additional vehicle will be given a parking pass, and then told no, I’d consider that a valid complaint… And as far as complaints go, I still haven’t received a response from the leasing office website…

We have been here a few months now. I would give this apartment 3 stars at the moment.
The leasing office and maintenance have been responsive. No issues with them. I feel safe living here and walking around which is the biggest item for me.
If your name is on the lease then any complaints about what you are not allowed to do or park outside of the miro apartment community is on you for not reading and not valid complaint. It is clearly stated about not parking in the HOA community or using their features.
The freezer section of the refrigerator is a bit on the small side but overall I really like our appliances. The washer/​dryer are great!
Bathtubs are wide and spacious. The other reviews are correct about the faucets being short but I can live with that in the bathroom. Any issues about the AC’s being weak in the bedrooms is true as well. Maintenance said they can fix that.
You are allowed to get time warner, direct TV and I think verizon fios depending on the building. Im quite happy to have time warner compared to having at&t u-​verse at my previous place.
The loudest sounds from the outside I can hear are the trains from wherever they are coming from but it hasn’t woken me up. Sometimes I can hear the sounds of doors being slammed from the next door neighbor but overall sound blockage from the outside is great.
I would suggest you check your entire apartment for possible entry points for larry and his crew of misfits («pest») and get those fixed. Check behind your stove and refrigerator as well for any possible holes that aren’t closed. We are all paying a lot of money to live here… they shouldn’t be included to live with us too. This is where the stars are coming off in my review. They shouldn’t be anywhere within a 5 mile radius of this community with the amount of money of we are paying to live here
Gym is a nice size compared to other aparmtnet community gyms I have seen. I wish the cardio machines were more flexible. There are no settings to change the angle… I usually go to the 24 hr fitness which is a mile away for some cardio because of this. The miro gym has dumbbells up to 50lbs for lifting and a few cable machines for other workouts. Two new 24 hr fitness super sports (Downey & Cerritos) are opening in december and both will be about 15 mins away from this community… cant wait for that.
Looking at the other reviews about parking has me confused… must be two miro’s?. Parking not that big of an issue for now… I could see a problem in a few months when more people move in. I guess it depends on what side you live on.
If they are enforcing parking rules for having the parking permits, I haven’t seen it. There is a quite dusty car that has been parked in the same spot with no parking permit for almost a month. I think between that and another car (it had ants all over it) is where the roaches and other creatures are coming.
I also have seen people park in our parking lot but go out to the HOA community. Again, if security is checking people for this… I haven’t seen it.
There is a fancy looking car that parks in front of the leasing office in the handicap spot but I don’t see a handicap parking tag? Must have a virtual reality parking tag in that fancy car that miro can see.
I also wonder if those residents who have those gigantic monster truck cars have multiple parking spots because those cant fit in their garage?
I am also confused about the parking spots designated for electric cars? does that mean if you have an electric car you get an extra spot in addition to your assigned spot? if that is true… that is not fair at all. I have seen the same car parked in the same electric car spot for several days in a row… does it takes 4 – 5 days to charge a car? I thought the intention of those designated spots was to charge your car and move it but I guess not.
Also some people definitely have dogs in the buildings were they aren’t allowed. I have heard dogs barking from these other buildings… unless something has changed and pets are allowed in more buildings than the first two constructed???
It is supposed to be a smoke free community… smh, i have seen the cigarettes on the floor and do smell weed from time to time. Where is this security that they speak of?
There is also some weird old man cutting the flowers leading to the community early in the morning.

Moved in a few months ago. The plan for parking is awful! No visitors after 5pm unless they have a visitor pass. The visitor passes are only given to each household 7 times a month meaning 1 visiting vehicle can park on the property 7 times a month. Violators will be towed after 5pm.
Poor construction — was not able to set up cable for 2 weeks because our construction was not finished. 2 cable options only (time warner or food) 3 cabinets broken off hinges, bathroom faucets are too short, toilet does not flush, ceiling fan not secured, and we can hear our neighbors every move above us. Washer and dryer are inside your house but the washer is extremely loud. Air conditioning has no power in the master bedroom. Very severe ant problem when we first moved in, the problem has subsided but we still get the occasional ant trail. Lights along the walkways are unnecessarily bright and shine into every window at night.
Gym is OK. Only 1 visitor per household allowed. Pool is OK size and temperature, but always has small bugs in it. Closes at 10pm and they have security to make you vacate and walk you to your apartment if you are in there later than 10pm.
Leasing staff does not pay much attention to current residents. Clearly worried about filling the complex up with tenants rather than tending to current tenants. 1 of the ladies is very rude, the other is very pleasant.
$ 2700 a month for a 3 bed (small) 2 bath. The 2 smaller bedrooms have no light/​ceiling fixtures so you will need to buy a lamp.
Most likely will vacate once the lease is up. You definitely do not get what you pay for here.

Parking is lousy. Rent a Cops will ticket your car and threaten to tow it. Don’t even think of parking on the street. Your not allowed to use the basketball court across the street. Only one trash dumpster that is always overflowing.
At least they are pet friendly and the apartments are new.
Keep looking.
10−17−16. Finally got more trash dumpsters. Though they should tell the rent a cops to leave the residents cars alone and focus on the solicitors. Twice in two days there has been ads left on my door. What is the sense of having a gated community if people can still come to your door.

I never lived here but… I feel that first impression is EVERYTHING and felt I wanted to leave a review. We needed to find a home close to my fiancé’s work and we decided to look here. Didn’t work out too well. Made an appointment and didn’t get help at our appointment time. We sat and waited… why make an appointment if we were just going to wait anyway? Walked in the door and no greeting, we got blank stares. and then «do you have an appointment?» Girl then walks away after I say «yes at 2»
When we finally got to tour the place, agent did not listen to our specific needs at all. We specifically told her that we wanted First Floor, and we had a dog. She showed us second floor and a building that does not allow pets to live in… We decided on one that was first floor with attached garage like we asked, decided to go with it and then get a phone call later saying that it wasn’t pet friendly… well, we found another apt to live in the next day simply because this one failed us. Wasted our time completely.
I am not even going to mention how they acted when it was «closing time» and they spoke under their breaths amongst each other about another person waiting to see an apt because he was a walk in… it was very unprofessional and RUDE.

Moved here 2 months ago, apartments are nice– located in a safe and quiet gated community, close to all freeways. Apartments are brand new, include updated fixtures, and rooms are decent size. I live on the 3^rd floor so no issues with noisy neighbors upstairs, but moving in furniture is a challenge. My main issue with the apartments is that they are brand new and you wouldn’t expect any issues but I’ve had to deal with a few things (luckily, they have corrected issues in timely manner):
Ant/​pest problem when I moved in, however pest control was out here to fix the issue in a couple days. This should have been done before move in because once we unpacked we had to remove everything from cabinets and closets for them to spray.
Bathroom cabinet door fell off hinge, maintenance fixed right away
Toilet not flushing, had to call a couple times but issue fixed
AC is strong in entire apartment except in the master bedroom, maintenance was great with readjusting. No complaints after fixing
Gate codes to get into complex, gave us code to get in but doesn’t work, finally assigned directory call number but doesn’t call long distance #, takes a while to get set up (4 weeks)
Pool/​gym are okay (small)
Similar to other review, poor construction– bathroom faucets too short, fan/​light pulls too short unless you are 6ft tall
For amount of money paid, small room in 2bd/​2bath should have a ceiling fan/​light fixture
The leasing office is just okay, I’d expect better service especially since these are brand new and everyone is paying pretty pricey leases
A few good things…
Most things are done online, application, maintenance requests, rent payments
Maintenance is good (right now, still new), once complex is fully rented out they might be overwhelmed with all the requests
Safe, quiet area (comfortable living)
Location is close by freeways
Pets allowed

This place is a perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. The place looks really nice but once you move in you will notice that they pay no attention to detail. The restroom faucets are too short. Your hands are rubbing/​bumping the sink every time you wash them and a lot of the water lands on top of the granite. The light switches in the restrooms are off about 5 – 6 inches so once you hang your towels you can’t see the switches. The dining room light is not centered. The gate in my patio was not installed properly so I had to buy a small lock because its a battle trying to put the lock on. The A/​C unit blows toooooo much air in the living room but very little in the master bedroom. My room is always hot. But the thing that drives me crazy is that I am paying over $ 2,600 a month and my upstairs neighbor cannot control his kids!!! EVERY single day they are jumping and running. I am NOT exaggerating! My apartment shakes and my living room ceiling fan rattles! It’s really bad! Cheap/​poor construction!!! I can hear every single footstep they take! They charge top dollar for rent but their quality of construction sucks!!! I already called and complained twice but to be honest I would have to call every single day because it never ends. I am trying my hardest to deal with it but I definitely regret moving here.
