History

Established in 1966.

Launched as a full-​line Ford truck dealership in 1966, Carmenita expanded to feature Hino and Fuso medium duty trucks, alongside the evolving Ford light and medium duty truck products. Carmenita Truck Center also offers an expansive inventory of pre-​owned/​used commercial vehicles. We have a menu of financing options including Ford Motor Credit, Toyota Motor Credit, and Hitachi America Credit. In addition to the factory training and support for these products, we are also a factory authorized service facility for Cummins and CAT. We have oversized service bays to accommodate even the largest of trucks. With the know-​how of our Factory Trained Technicians, and our state of the art facilities, we will get you and your truck back on the road and back in business in no time!

this is the largest medium duty truck dealership in the area. You. can’t miss it off the freeway. They specialize in Ford but have a lot of the Hino trucks too. A little tricky to navigate right now because of all the construction but they also have a parts counter in Garden Grove that has always has every part I ever needed in stock. and of course they deliver too!

Update, picked up our coach from the other company we found on Unilocal,seems Carmenita Truck Center completely misdiagnosed the problem. The cost ended up being $ 900, no where near the $ 5210 that was quoted from Carmenita Truck Center. Seems to me that either they don’t know what they are doing, or they deliberately rip people off. Either way is very sad.

Took my Hino 2012 for a transmission check. The transmission is manual. They will charge $ 1,900 to take it a part just to figure out what was wrong with it and not even fix the problem. I decided to pull the truck out because for $ 1,900.00 to check and not even fix the transmission is a RIP OFF.
With out checking anything since i decided not to get it check for $ 1,900.00, they care charging me $ 280.00 just to get the truck out of Carmenita.
Carmenita repair shop is crooked. Do not take your truck to Carmenita to get repaired. $ 280 for checking in your truck!!! Ludicrous! Insane!

Nick in service gets it done! This is pretty much the only place I feel comfortable taking my work truck (’11 F-​450). Nick and his team are experts at fixing whatever is wrong with it along with jumping through all the hoops the company we lease the truck always throws in his way. Great job Nick!

Very efficient, knowledgeable, professional & pleasant no bs buying experience.
Needed a 12 passenger alt-​fuel van for my business — Transit 3500 XL wagon.
Did my research & Carmenita had the best prices & selection.
Called Tod Walker to get details & firm quote.
He replied quickly with pics & measurements I wanted and a firm quote.
We pre-​arranged some paperwork.
Went there the next day, closed about 1 hour & drove away.
No hype, pressure for add-​ons, no waiting for «manager» approval or waiting for the «finance» manager to do the paperwork. I appreciated that they treated me as a businessman.
I don’t know about service or other departments, but my purchase experience was the best I’ve had, and I’ve purchased many vehicles over the years.

I owned a really nice C800 dump truck that only I drove and kept extremely clean. And then I needed some engine work done and brought it here since they were closer to me than Peck Road ford. If you own a really nice Truck don’t bring it here, because the knuckle heads don’t give a crap about it. The truck was disabled and they moved it around using a forklift by pushing it with the back of the forklift against my nice bumper and smashing my personal license plate.
When I confronted the shop manager he said «it must of been like that when I brought it to him» REALLY! !!
when I talked to the guy who jockeys the trucks around he says they usually hang an old tire on the back of the forklift and push that way, but sometimes the tire falls off and it’s metal against metal.
Real nice Ford. It’s been a while since that happened but haven’t been back since, now I take my newer Ford to Peck Road instead. I wasn’t able to vent about this until I found Unilocal.
Is it so difficult to find employees that give a crap about their customers or their job? It must be an issue with the moral of management that runs down hill.

I don’t know why Robert Munoz didn’t respond well to being called «BOB», but he was the most relaxed truck salesman you could meet. I don’t remember the exact moment that I bought my «BIG WHITE TRUCK». I think he distracted me with a bottle of water.
I had my old truck towed into Carmenitas with severe problems. I told a nice lady named Michelle that I was the «prince consort», and she courtseyed to me and told me the surgery necessary to make my truck live again would consume my «Social Security well past my estimated time of ‘croaking’. I told her that I had another truck in the same shape, and she introduced me to Haley (?) the sales manager who didn’t believe I was the ‘prince consort’. Haley introduced me to ‘Bob’ and told him to keep me focused and find me a nice truck. He found me the ‘truck of my dreams’ in 15 minutes.
This place isn’t like any truck dealer you’ve ever seen. Haley (?)(spelled right ?) and Bob (ROBERT) moved the sale, trade in process along with such efficiency that within minutes I was introduced to Rachel Martinez the Finance Dept. leader.
How the subject of auto finance can become stress free I still find impressive. Rachel Martinez zipped through page after page after signature after signature till I knew the truck was mine, or would be after 24 payments.
My experience with Carmenitas Truck Center was made pleasant by a really professional crew with a great sense of humor, that wanted to help me find my truck.

BEWARE OF SERVICE DEPT. THEY ARE THIEVES! While traveling in California my 2011 Ford F-​250 started knocking and shut down. I had it towed here for diagnosis. they charged $ 1000 to tell me it was blown up. I called three other dealerships in the area and was told the diagnosis time is (1) shop hour. I do not recommend this dealership!

Our non-​profit has purchased two trucks from Carmenita — most recently we purchased a Hino Hybrid truck, and were able to take advantage of the California Rebate Program. We were originally thinking of purchasing another Ford F-​550, but when we found that with the rebate, the Hino was actually more affordable, we were very excited! Grant and Brian were great to work with and made the purchase very smooth. They even had the Hino representative come out to our site to go over the truck with our volunteer drivers! Grant and Brian even had their team come out and volunteer with us to help set up for our Thanksgiving distribution! I highly recommend Carmenita Truck Center — they were very honest with us, and truly care about the customer!

Our business is located in San Francisco but I traveled more than 450 miles to lease our new delivery truck (Hino 338) from CTC. I originally sent CTC an inquiry on this vehicle through Truck Paper. CTC’s commercial account Manager, Randy Taylor, followed up immediately with specific information about this vehicle. Once we signed the buyers agreement, Randy arranged for the chassis to have the wheelbase lengthened to accommodate our 24″ curtain side body. The turnaround was fast and seamless. Ten-​days later, I jumped on a JetBlue flight into Long Beach where Randy personally picked me up – 2-​minutes after I had arrived! Talk about great service! It gets even better, Rachel Martinez who leads their finance/​leasing department, was very thorough, friendly and also provided excellent service.
While waiting for almost 3-​hours for my certificate of insurance to arrive from my insurance broker, they let me conduct MY business in their conference room. They were having a lunch event for their service team, complete with hotdogs and drinks. Many of their employees came in an offered to feed me, which I didn’t turn down! I noticed their office/​sales team appears to have great camaraderie with each other which is a pretty good indicator that they like what they do and the company they work for.
I would highly recommend Randy and Rachel along with the entire staff at Carmenita Truck Center!

I’m not sure what the following people that have posted here have been smoking! The service dept. is waaay over priced and just try to get a hold of the parts dept and you are put on hold for eternity, virtually impossible. I only go there when I have to. The place is pure KAOS, it will take you 2-​hours to pick something up that you could get from your local parts store in 2-​minutes.

came in to look for a truck for my friend and they’ve got everything here, from the stripped naked ones to the trucks with something attached to them, they’ve got some great deals on used vehicles as well that come with 1 year/50,000 mile warranty and that doesn’t happen a lot usually they are «as is.» Salesperson Grace was very professional to go through all the different options and to ask for help when she didn’t know something technical. I liked that she didn’t bluff

If you have money to throw away this is the place to go. Complete Scam, Customer service is horrible no one cares about helping you (Not Even The Manager), all they want is to get paid and take your money (Take your money for services that were never rendered) I would not recommend this place.
