Best court I’ve found in the area so far. Everything is great except the double rim but at least people can’t dunk and break the rims!!! Good court

New — Dog park is now fully fenced in! And it’s a large L-shape for roaming and play. People are really good about picking up there dog poop. Bags can often be found in the canisters. The park is well maintained and frequently visited by people. Tennis courts, basketball courts, playground, and a large grass lawn, with both shaded and unshaded areas. Also there is a trail down the Arroyo Seco canyon that starts here for a dog friendly trail walk. Love coming to this park at all times of the day!

Great little park. We have children that span from toddlers to teens. It isn’t easy to find a park that appeals to everyone. This one is a favorite. Tennis courts, basketball, huge grassy area we use to play kickball, play structure, baby swings,(no regular swings) and off leash dog area. Minus one star b/c while the dog area is very nice, it’s strange that the fencing just stops so it’s not fully enclosed. Nevertheless we still very much enjoy it.

Lets get some more stars for this park… It deserves more because it is a Great little park for everyone. Dog side is mostly fenced and has frequent visitors that are for the most part really nice and thier dogs too, then you have Tennis, Basket Ball, Soccer Field and small childrens play ground. Something for all ages.

So for my 100th review, I decided to make it a «First to Review» and here it is: This review is primarily about the doggie section of this park, but I’ll mention a couple things about the rest of the park. I just got a puppy this summer and decided to socialize him here since I live very close and it seemed like a lot of people came out here to hang out while their dogs played. So I was very excited to come here… My basic thoughts about this place now. I dunno what it is, but I felt very out of place. Many of the people here seemed very judgmental, nosy, and clique-y. Most of them seem to be older Santa Cruz locals. Now I dunno if it’s cause I’m Asian, or what. But I swear I felt like they just gave me attitude. I’m just saying. Some of them would just give me sh! t each day I came there about my boxer. Look lady, I’m sorry my dog can’t have a broken leg or dead ears like your’s – give me a break. Mind your own business. My dog loves me, so what’s the problem? Nothing. But these people would give me sh! t day in, and day out. I’ve stopped coming here so often because I don’t wanna snap on them one day. I never did anything wrong. I recommend a couple other parks in Santa Cruz if you wanna play with your dogs. As far as the quality of the park goes, it’s definitely a 3 star. There’s a large dirt area for your dogs to play in, but it’s not fully gated off so it’s kinda annoying when some people’s dogs run off into the basketball court or in other areas. What’s the point of putting half a fence up? I dunno. I’m bitter about this place as you can tell. At least people pick up their dog poop for the most part. As far as the tennis courts, basketball courts, and other areas go. I’d give this place a 4 – 5 stars. The park is generally kept clean and it seems like you could easily pick up a ball game here if you wanted to. The grass area is also pretty well maintained and would be a nice spot to hang out with your friends or play some football/frisbee. I’ve also seen a lot of kids playing on the playground so I’ll assume it’s a cool spot… Overall, if you go to the dog spot. Make sure you fit into the snobby-ness of these Santa Cruz locals… I sure didn’t…but F EM!
