Whenever I come here, I always get«the Warriors.» The sandwiches are a little pricey, imo, but man, the sandwiches are DELICIOUS. The sourdough is amazing!

So this is a chain all over the Bay Area, Sacramento and random places like Las Vegas! In a pinch, the family did not want the usual PMH for lunch. I decided to try the Eat 24 Unilocal app and found this place of amazing. There is a 35.00 minimum before tax to deliver(which is not hard to do with this place). I ended up getting two salads: Potato– not bad! Phoebe– super fresh, the bleu cheese had big chunks of cheese well liked The sandwiches: The Warriors: My dad loved the dutch crunch roll The Boom Kat: Nice portion of Proscuitto The Wharf: Roast Beef and BBQ sauce. cannot go wrong Unfortunately– they were out of cheddar cheese and had to use jack. All of this was 42. something including tax… not half bad!

I ordered a #16. Forget what it’s called, but it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. The bread was great, too. That’s a rare find, when individual parts are as great as the whole.

Very flavorful vegi sandwich, fresh bread! Son loved his carnivore sandwich as well. We’d go back, great fresh sandwiches with a twist of creativity.

I’ve been here twice before and had The Pacific Ave and The Phoebe both times with Dutch crunch bread. Staff were friendly, wait time was fine, seating is nice. Good for causal gathering with friends or by yourself when you’re craving a sandwich. Definitely get Dutch crunch. It’s pillowy soft on the inside and, as you would imagine, crunchy outside but not hard. There’s a difference. Sandwiches are stuffed very full so even though they are a bit pricey, it’s worth it.

This place is pretty much the Ike’s of Santa Cruz. It has the funny names for the sandwiches and sauces, the large portions, and plenty of customization options. The bread is freshly baked(I’ve had a few cases where I had to wait an extra couple of minutes for my sandwich because they ran out of the bread I wanted and had to wait for them to finish baking fresh buns) and ingredients seem fresh enough. That being said, it’s not quite as good as Ike’s, but it’s certainly the best you can find for twenty miles. My only big complaint is that they don’t offer a lettuce wrap.

Mmmm mmmm mmmm! I was looking for a new sandwich spot and think I may have found it for when I’m in downtown Santa Cruz! Customer service was not bad. or noteworthy. The sandwich though… the sandwich was tasty!!! The bread(Dutch crunch) was fluffy with the right amount of crunch, while the meat tasted as though it was freshly sliced and the condiments/toppings were also oozing with freshness. I’ll bee back for more! *****DON’T FORGET A STAMPCARD*****

After seeing a great rating on Unilocal I decided to try this place. I waited in line all the while dreaming up my perfect sandwich. I went to order my sandwich and proceeded to pay for it. It took about 15 minutes for the sandwich to be ready. I was really excited to open my sandwich. Then I was faced with great disappointment. The sandwich I ordered look nothing like the sandwich I had received. I had ordered a sandwich with Italian dressing and avocado only to find my sandwich dry and missing those things. I had ordered a bread I thought would be soft then found it toasted. Apparently that’s standard practice. So beware bread is toasted. I would never recommend this place. And if you dare to go in I would warn you to check your order before you leave. You cannot see them prepare your order. It’s a great mystery until you open the wrapper.

Zesty goodness is still tingling my mouth! I got the Rachel(veggie crammed goodness) with cranberries) without the cream cheese and the jalapeño ranch instead, on sliced wheat. I had planned to take it hiking with me but decided to try just a bite in the car before hitting the trails… Just a bite later it was devoured and leaving me wanting more! Sandwich was made and layered with care and I could taste each and every fresh ingredient. Sliced toasted bread is a nice touch. But the flavor in the sauce is what is still making my mouth water! And it accomplishes taste explosions all without being«saucy» in appearance or texture. Also a little shout out to the girl who helped me. I love when a server can offer excellent and helpful recommendations. I was the only person in the shop, and when she finished making my to-go sandwich she actually took the time to walk it around the counter to hand it to me. Bravo on the service!

Matt is simply the best worker I’ve ever met! After a few consistent visits, he knew my name and order! He made me feel like a regular when I’ve just started coming here for lunch! Awesome customer service! Awesome sandwiches. Update: I would like to add that the whole staff in general are very helpful and kind. They all work hard to make your visit pleasant and they are all solution-based when mishaps do happen! *dont forget your stamp card!

The Chicken Pesto was DRY. I did not like it and kind of wondered if I could have my refund in cash and calories back. What was worse is that I ordered 2 sandwiches(one for Gavin). I ordered the Trambajuice as well because you know, it resembles my name and all but what a mistake it was. The place was clean and spacious. Service was pretty good. I’ll stick to Ike’s, Mr. Pickles, California Sourdough, and Deli Board.

The Sandwich Spot is my favorite lunchtime spot in downtown Santa Cruz. Restaurant is clean, ambiance is nice with a «Pinterest-type» feel, and background music is upbeat without being too loud. Staff are friendly and welcoming. My go-to order is the Seabright(#16) on sliced sourdough — sliced turkey, bacon, avocado, peppers, cream cheese, and BOMB sauce — you will not be disappointed!

Seriously, this place is delicious. It’s a lot like Mr. Pickles sandwich shop, except it has a little bit of an edge on them. Their menu is better, and they have more special/secret sauces(which really aren’t a secret because there is a menu saying what they are). I’ve had«The Phoebe» on a wheat roll and was blown away. The bread was so fresh and delicious, plus the bomb sauce(garlic vegan goodness) just made the whole sandwich pop. My SO had the chicken pesto sandwich(forget the name of it now) and he inhaled it. Fresh veggies, good bread, nice location, cool staff. A+!! I’m sure all the UCSC kids love this place, with it being so close to the metro and all. Way to turn around a notoriously bad corner of Pacific Ave!

Great service. Quickly prepared sandwiches. Plenty of seating. Nice big sandwiches due to generous meat portions and equally nice helping of produce — talk about a winner here! The spread that they used was to die for. I think they called it bomb sauce? It’s no joke, it really is bomb sauce. I don’t remember all the ingredients that went into this bomb sauce but i recall the cashier telling me it was a blend of cream cheese and jalapeño peppers. At first I was hesitant to try cream cheese on my sandwich but I wanted to try something new. I’m sooooo glad I did! It’s the only way I want my sandwiches from now on — with bomb sauce plz! I can’t believe I went to get sandwiches from zocollis the next day thinking they’d b even better than The Sandwich Spot based on another Unilocalers review. Omg! If u want confirmation that The Sandwich Spot is 10000% better than Zoccolis then go ahead go thru the horrible experience at zocollis only to waste ur money and time and then come back here to get a real sandwich. (Sorry for the late review. We came here saturday 4÷11÷15. Just now having time to write this review)

What a great little stop! Honestly, for being so new, this place is doing great! Sometimes when a business first opens, you expect some kinks, but Sandwich Spot knows what they’re doing! I got the #1 on Dutch Crunch and it was definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve had(and I care about my sandwiches!). They have all kinds of «secret sauces» that put that extra, unique touch and make them especially good. I sincerely hope I’m back in Santa Cruz or near one of their other locations because I would 100% go back to Sandwich Spot. Next location San Diego? Fingers crossed!

The first time I walked into the Sandwich Spot I had really low expectations. There are already plenty of good sandwich places in SC that are hard to compete with. But I ordered their BLT because I wanted to try something differently. Somehow my order got messed up or I picked up the wrong one, because I ended up with the #8(chicken sandwich with hot sauce, etc.) But I am SO. GLAD. It’s really one of the tastiest sandwiches I ever had, and I really am not a big fan of chicken in general. But I definitely recommend trying something with their hot sauce, because that stuff is like crack. The sandwich in general is really big and filling, too. You could almost split it between two meals. Good, fast service. Perfect for a lunch pick-up. I’ve already been there three times since it opened, and I’ll continue to go regularly.

If you love Ikes Sandwiches then you HAVE to try this place. I find the ingredients fresh and their sauce is off the hook! I the the Steamer Lane, Veggie Special(favorite), Burgundy Suite and The Mystery Spot. Their dutch crunch bread is super delicious and sliced is just as good!!! I had 2 sandwiches in less than 5 hours and that’s carb overload for me but I couldn’t help myself… They also have GLUTENFREE bread available so you will still be taken care of! Sandwiches can be made into salads as well. The owner Tram is very attentive to details and is always asking if you’re satisfied with your food. Staff is friendly all around and everyone seems to really enjoy what they’re doing. Don’t forget their punch cards if you’re a regular! You get a free sandwich! Welcome to the neighborhood and I’m excited to come back and tell all my friends who are sammich lovers about this spot!

Went to the Grand Opening today and ordered The Boom Kat; I’m a sucker for prosciutto. SO delicious. Ingredients tasted and looked fresh. Dutch crunch, which can sometimes just be hard and stale tasting, was crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I noticed there are some F.R.IE.N.D.S references in the menu! This alone is enough for me to be a lifelong customer The layout of the place is so awesome; wood, metal and a lot of fantastic homemade fixtures. Shoutout to the owner, Tram! You can tell she’s so passionate about this place(plus hair game is on point). The rest of the staff are friendly, efficient and just a great crowd :) Can’t wait to come back to my new favorite sandwich place!
