Solar Technologies provided one of the most informative, professional and efficient processes in construction I have experienced. They installed a solar system on my Santa Cruz home based on my initial requests, modified to meet local requirements. They had an answer to every issue I raised and took care of the process required to deal with each issue. Examples: 1) I needed to aggregate two meters with a single solar system. Solar Technologies took care of the aggregation process through PG&E. 2) We combined the solar install with a remodel. After the contract was in place, we decided we wanted to run some of the external wiring through the house in areas of construction. Their change order was effortless, and they worked with our contractor in multiple phases to install the internal wiring, followed later by the full system install.

The team that came to my house for the initial sales and the final installation were top-​notch! I am a very picky person when it comes to my house. I had them run the conduit inside the walls down two floors to where it comes out at the inverters. All team members are able to handle any of the tasks that any other team member can do, so they are very efficient in the installation process. They complement each other very well together. I also ask tons of questions about the entire installation process and they were happy to answer all questions and explain in detail my concerns. I would highly recommend Solar Tech if they plan to go solar!

With all of the improvements done to our house the installation of solar panels by Solar Technologies by far is the most significant and efficient project.
We were extremely pleased with the whole process. Starting with the evaluation and quote by Keenan Shaw, to the installation by Mark, Jamie and Travis and to the final inspection with Justin, the experience went flawlessly. Also the office personnel, Marina and Cristina were helpful and cooperative.
They were all professional and knowledgeable about their product and answered all of our questions. They really enjoy what they do and it shows in their attitude and experience.
We didn’t know too much about the difference in solar panels but we knew we wanted to go solar to offset the rising costs of PG&E,. We are so glad we chose panels made by Sun Power. They are so sleek and aesthetically compatible with our black shingles, almost seamlessly.
The installation was completed in late October and our PG&E bill has been lower each month.
Our December bill when we used our heater more than usual, the electric bill was lower than the gas.
The panels are so efficient that even today it is cloudy they are still producing.
We would recommend Solar Technologies to anyone seriously considering going solar. We are so glad we went solar.

We had a fantastic experience working with this company. From the beginning in sales and education with James through the install with project sups and crew. This company really backs its product and takes the job of educating the customer very proactively. James took his time to make sure he provided us with sound advice and education to get a system that would work for our home. In a very stressful remodel this was the most positive experience I had. Everyone we worked with was always available to answer questions or concerns along the way and they delivered on everything they said they would. Hard thing to come by these days!!!

We just completed our solar installation with Solar Technologies. We looked at other providers and Solar Technologies had the most efficient panels that were all black and low profile mounting. The entire process went great. Keenan Shaw was our sales person and fantastic to work with. The installation team arrived at the time they said they would and were very professional, courteous and efficient. I could not be happier with the entire experience. My experience with Solar Technologies has been fantastic! From the first phone call to the purchase to the installation, they have provided excellent guidance all the way. Jarrett was incredibly well informed, patient, and open. The whole process was very transparent. The installers were very nice, and flexible as to the look of the final product. I would recommend ST without reservation to anyone considering solar. One of the best advantages is that they are local, and can provide service quickly.

Contracted with Solar Technologies to sell and install a roof mounted large solar panel array and associated system components for a residential application. Tim was our application engineer and did a terrific job at advising us on options and running a series of cost/​benefit models to help select the ideal sized and configured system.
After award, the system was installed on time by a great crew that worked clean and fast to finalize the install and get us generating power.
6 weeks into our ownership we are very pleased with the appearance, operation and cost savings of the system.
They did a great job. Trouble free and exactly as expected.

We received bids from 3 companies before choosing Solar Technologies. They had the best price and excellent service. Jarrett took the time to help us evaluate all aspects of the system including design, output, life span, panel selection, warranties, federal tax credits and loan options.
You have choices in panel manufacturers and there was no pressure in this selection process. Jarrett presented the advantages and disadvantages of each manufacturer. We chose Sun Power panels due to their reputation and lower degradation rate over time. They are more expensive than others but worth the investment due to the quality, output and lower degradation rate than other panels on the market.
Jarrett helped size our system perfectly. Our goal was to produce enough energy to offset our entire yearly bill. Our first year true up bill resulted in a net bill of 6 cents (not per kWh, but total dollars for the year). We couldn’t get any closer than that! Although weather and electricity consumption will affect this true up in future years, the first year shows how well the system is sized for our current needs.

We are so pleased with our new system. The reviews below that explain the technical aspects are right on – my thrill is in watching our electric meter going backwards! The sales rep, Greg, was so patient with all my questions; the installers, Michael and Dillon, were absolutely incredible. They always showed up on time, worked tirelessly and were professional and friendly. We chose this company because our neighbors have the same system and love it. Overall, GREAT company to work with, GREAT people to work with, and GREAT fun not staring at a large electric bill. If you are thinking solar, you can’t get any better than Solar Technologies.

After interviewing three solar installation firms, although the installation price was the same for all three, Solar Technologies both gave us both the best energy production rate (130% of our current annual need) and specified higher quality panels. We also opted to install an inverter system that provides emergency energy if and when PG&E lets us down. None of the other two installation firms even offered such an inverter option.

After a lot of review I chose Solar Technologies to install my solar system and they also installed a car charger for my car at the same time. They were great from start to finish. I got a professional bid that explained everything and no high power sales follow ups while I was deciding. After I accepted their bid I was given an outside date for installation and they exceeded that. The installation was done professionally and in only two days. The inspections were completed right away and I am now a PG&E solar customer. I like the look of the Sunpower collectors and they seem to be very efficient.

My solar system was installed nine years ago, and the performance has exceeded all expectation. In fact the system has easily paid for itself. In seven of the nine years my annual electric deficiency has been less than $ 10 for the whole year! One year it was less than $ 24. And the year that P G & E changed the meter I was hit with a deficiency of $ 161. I tried arguing with P G & E about the meter change cost but without success. For the whole nine years I have detailed information on consumption, sale back to P G & E, and net deficiency or surplus with month by month details. If anyone would like I would be glad to forward you a PDF file of the data.

When we decided to go solar on our house we consulted with 3 companies before deciding on Solar Technologies and we couldn’t be happier with the entire process! Clint Biddle was our representative and took a lot of time explaining and answering all questions we had. He also took roof readings to determine the optimum placement to the panels. I knew I wanted Sunpower panels which is what Solar Technologies uses. They are the highest quality, most efficient and best looking low-​pofile panels. AND they are made in the U.S.
All of my interaction with Clint and the entire installation crew were nothing but positive.

After extensive studies, following PG&E recommendations on selecting the right contractor, I’ve chosen Solar Technologies. Essential points I would like to share and few thanks to good people:
Price. Collected around 4 – 5 proposals. Solar Tech was much better than many others and same as one of the major players on the market.
Panels offered. Well known manufacturer. Top model. All parameters in line with the best panels.
Inverter. Silent, transformer-​less. 97% efficient. Monitors system performance thru the internet.
Consulting and Electric System Design. Wow. Spent hours with Clint Biddle, talking options, preferences, layout, performance and final walk-​around.
Installation. Did not loose a day of my work. Jamie C. neatly installed all electrical equipment inside the house, while Mark L. with the crew was doing his job on the roof. Only one tile was damaged and had to be replaced. All-​in– black framing, brackets and panels.
Inspection. Smooth — thanks to Charles.
I was extremely impressed with Solar Technologies’ professionalism and the quality of their work. Indeed, selecting the right installer is one of the most important decisions.

Before choosing Solar Technologies, we requested quotes from 6 solar companies. Ultimately, Solar Technologies won our business because they have:
1) A great reputation: BBB «A» rating, over 1700 installs, in business the longest.
2) A good selection of quality products in a wide range of pricing,
3) Knowledgeable, professional and supportive sales staff (Jarrett McGuckin),
4) C10 (Electrical) *AND* C46 (Solar) licenses,
5) Our preferred choice of mounting system, and
6) Competitive pricing.
Solar Technologies handled all of the permits and inspections with our county as well as all communications with PG&E. The installation crew arrived on time to install our roof mounted array in July, 2014. Mark, the foreman, was very professional. He and his team completed the job in the time promised and were very tidy as well.
All-​in-​all we are very pleased with the way the entire transaction panned out… No hassles, every promised kept, the array is working as specified. We couldn’t ask for more… good job Solar Technologies!

My wife and I chose Solar Technologies out of the three other companies we interviewed purely based on Jared our representative. He is very knowledgable, intelligent, and turned out to be a great teacher because we were so green in the solar power world.
The installers did a knock out job and were very professional. The turnaround time was quicker than promised saving us some great sun in July.
I’m one happy non paying PG&E electric bill converted to sollar guy.
And I can now buy an electric car because I decided to put a couple extra panels on the roof… yippy

We just had a second system installed by Solar Technologies and I’d give the 6 stars if I could!
We had our first system installed 3 years ago and everything from the financing to the installation and permitting was seamless. Truly, they make it effortless on the part of the home owner. We were so pleased with our system and have not had a single problem with it in 3 years.
Due to increased energy needs we decided to expand our system and just completed what I call «Phase 2» of our solar system. Both are ground mounts in a hilly location so they weren’t the simplest of projects.
Clint Biddle was the one we worked with and he was A+ from the initial presentation right through the completion of the project.
It is so rare to find a company that delivers exactly what they say they will for exactly the price they quote you with ZERO hassle. I’d recommend them to anyone!

Installation was a snap, and the permit process was even seamless.
I own the panels after paying off my loan, which I’ll be switching to a lower % rate through my homeowner’s line of credit at my credit union.
