This was my first time coming here and I would definitely come back! I’m new to vaping and the girl that helped me was helpful! I wish we weren’t moving because this would be my main place! I really wish I got her name, but girl in the white tank that helped me, you’re awesome and thank you SO much!!!

If you’re looking for a smoke shop in Santa Cruz, this is one worth checking out. Not the best location in downtown, but it’s a pretty big store. They have a lot of items including tapestries, posters, and of course a bunch of items for your smoking pleasure. Whether or not I have something in mind to buy, I enjoy visiting the store to look at the cool stuff they have. Every time I’ve been here the staff has been super friendly, helpful, and patient. Last time my boyfriend and I came in it was near closing but I didn’t feel rushed one bit and they were more than happy to help with our purchase.

Customer service is amazing. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Special thanks to Uriah who was extraordinarily thoughtful, patient, and knew his product. I will be back. Reputation is everything, and Uriah handled a problem I had with a product with complete integrity. Very impressed.
The missing star is for what’s supposed to be their top notch glass selection — it left more to be desired, but they have everything most would want, as most aren’t coming in for a thousand dollar piece! I wasn’t either, but I love to look!

This place is the best! Excellent customer service, a wide range of pieces, and the felines in the back add to the chill vibes of this place. Love that fact that they don’t only sell pieces, but also sell random posters/​tapestries for those lookin to spice up their room. I would really recommend this place for those looking to get their first pipe!

Needed to purchase a vape pen. Staff very knowledgeable and even gave me a discount on a metal grinder.

I am always very happy walking out of this store, today especially. My sister was buying me a present and I couldn’t make up my mind, Joan was particularly helpful and kind. I shall continue telling people to shop here, from one local to another, yall Rock.

Came in from out of town to visit Santa Cruz and I have to say this place was awesome spoke to the staff and they were awesome they guided me to what I needed and gave me a nice discount because I bought multiple items great glass work great experience and a great everything about this place I would highly recommend this to anybody that visits Santa Cruz and wants good smoke apparel and jewellery I went across the street to another smoke shop and they were arguing and being very rude and didn’t give me any time of day so I have to say pipeline all the way

Good place to buy smoking supplies. They also custom make some apparatuses. From Hookah to tobacco pipes to devices for smoking «other» things.
They have a great front of the house shop too from posters to incents. Candles and black lights. What more fo you want from a head shop? Their staff is knowledgeable and can help you find what you are looking for.
These folks deal in the obscure and main stream. They also blow some of the glass pipes in a front window. Whether you are looking for a pipe, water pipe, bong, hookah. You are sure to find it at pipe line.
Need lose tobacco? No problem they’ve got it there. From exotic flavors to regular tobacco you are sure to find it. The back room is strictly 18+ so if your under 18 don’t try to get in the back room they will card you and kick you out.
Nevertheless this place is awesome! !

I was visiting from out of town on a Sunday, and I heard good things about Pipeline’s tapestries. My friend took me there, and as soon as we stepped in a man nicely greeted us. However, not even three steps in, a woman smoking from outside yelled to the man that they were closed. It was not past 6:50pm, and the shop closed at 7. We obliged and walked out, commenting on the lack of business inside the shop. The woman with the cigarette yelled after us, «we’re not getting any business because we’re closed» in the snarkiest, most condescending voice. I rated this business as one star because they didnt give us a chance to come inside during their «open» hours.

Made a trip to this place every week as a freshman. Contemplated applying here to work cause I was here so much. I liked their custom pieces but what really drew me here was their display of ROORs back in the day. They also carry the best shisha (strawberry margarita starbuzz) and excellent self-​lighting coals. Not to mention an assortment of rolling papers and accessories. I’ve quit smoking since but it was a good run. Good times, to say the least.

went to this shop a couple times and was not pleased. prices aren’t too great and both times i went there the sales staff was disinterested and unfriendly, which i guess is my fault for trying to make conversation and having the balls to make eye contact without wearing a standard hipster uniform
on top of that the workmanship on their high end bongs is kind of shoddy. i literally watched someone pull the bottom of his expensive glass bong (which he’d apparently bought from here) apart by trying to take out his downstem
good place to go if you want to get snubbed and overcharged for a poorly made pipe because you think it looks pretty though
other shops have ripped me off and still given me better deals and experiences than you’ll find here

I’m pretty sure I should have paid rent here when I was in college. I practically lived here. I took my cousin here once so he could pick up some cigarettes and Mike, the manager at the time (not sure if he’s still there) said hi to me. When we left, my cousin was like «so you know the manager of the smoke shop?»
Their prices aren’t the cheapest and they will not make a deal with you. Sticker price is the price no matter who you know or how much you buy.

When I was a freshman at OOooooooooooooakes College this is where I bought my first (and last) water pipe. The guys from Biko Dorm went with me and it was a rite of passage. It was a proud proud moment in their eyes. Its name was Sherman named after Sherman’s Lagoon (the cartoon). It was a fishy and the cutest thing EVER. Their water pipe selection is impressive here and the quality is amazing. They also sell hookahs, papers and tobacco products (cloves etc.). Sherman lasted for nine years until my friends finally broke it (this was not used everyday – and it had been collecting dust in my drawer since I 99.5% ceased water pipe activity after becoming a teacher/​counselor).
I still go in here for kicks, although I don’t need a huge college poster that says «marijuana– hey at least it’s not crack» in my apartment. They have a small selection of shirts and belts… shades etc. Since I am older not so much into it, but it is always fun to peer in.
What I really love about this place is when they have their glass blowers doing live «shows» in the window. You can catch them in action if you are lucky in the afternoon.
This place is definitely a staple in downtown, one of the remaining non– urban outfitter/​corporate shops that has popped up downtown in the passed ten years.

Well this one takes me back.
I use to go here all the time back in the day to pick up new pieces to smoke out of and although they have a lot of stuff to choose from in the back room the quality glass is overpriced.
What they had that I loved buying was HUGE posters. Like 3 feet by 4 feet.
Not sure if they still got em but they had Goodfellas, Scarface, Tupac, The Shining, that kinda thing. Gangster Flicks and Gangster Rap with a few ½ naked women as well. But HUGE posters.
If you have to buy some new glass in Santa Cruz I couldn’t tell you where to find some better priced product but it’s certainly not here.
Staff was always friendly.

My sister used to go here back when downtown was sketch-​central. I was little, so I’d just stare in wonderment at the psychedelic posters and innapropriate-​content t-​shirts and stickers. Now that I am a grown up and I’m old enough to enter the back room where they sell the tobaccy and the bongs, it is one of my fave places to pick up a new glass pipe or some flavored tobbacco for my hookah. The flavored tobbacco prices are reasonable and they have quite the array of flavors. It’s an institution.
