I have been an auto enthusiast since before I could drive – I love cars and motorcycles.

I enjoy building custom/​high performance cars. I enjoy taking my motorcycles and cars out to the race tracks for fun.

I have a wonderful family-​my beautiful wife and 4 kids (3 boys & 1 girl), which also keeps me very busy!

These are my guys, they’ve worked on my Jetta TDI and now my Audi A4. I suffered through the misinformed notion that all mechanics are the same so cheaper is better. Negative. After being gouged enough times to realize it’s my fault I went to Pearce and now will go nowhere else unless it’s absolutely necessary. The staff are knowledgable and reasonable and the prices competitive for quality work. They are honest and professional, the shop is tidy and I’ve never been given any hidden fees or the runaround. They are experts and will tell you when you don’t actually need something fixed right away, and when I do get my vehicle worked on it goes home FIXED. It feels pretty good to have complete trust in a mechanic, a rare quality indeed. I highly recommend.

After many frustrating mechanic experiences, I called Pearce European to discuss a reoccurring car issue. Chris, the owner, was able to diagnose the real problem over the phone and then thoroughly fixed the problem. That was at least 8 years ago! I have been a happy customer ever since. His shop is well run and in a glance, you can tell how passionate they are about cars. I am so thankful and appreciative for all of the work he and Jeremy have done over many years to keep my family and myself safe by taking such good care of my Saabs. They are amazing people who truly care about taking great care of their customers and continually go way above and beyond my expectations.

I’m another happy long time customer of Pearce. I went to Pearce because he was recommended by BMW San Francisco to service my Mini Cooper S. In retrospect, I have no idea how they knew about Pearce — it’s not a very big place like you would expect them to recommend — but they were definitely right to recommend it. Chris (the main dude) always did a great job on the Mini and never tried to upsell me or do work that wasn’t necessary. Over time I grew to trust him more and more. He always fit me into his schedule and the whole experience of working with Chris is very mellow. Now my wife takes her VW Passat Tdi to him and he takes great care of it running on Biodeisel. I have a BMW 530 xi now and I am going to take it to him when it needs service. My dad also uses Chris for his Mercedes S500. It took me forever to write this Unilocal review, I’ve used Chris for years and years, so I’m trying to make it complete. Basically, I highly recommend Chris and Pearce European & Japanese.

I have been a long time customer of Pearce when I had my old 91 Corolla, so when my 08 Corolla was due for some service, I knew where to go for excellent service and prices.
I dropped it off for a transmission service and to replace my front brakes; ended up I needed an additional belt replaced which was cracked and causing an obnoxious squeaking sound. All these repairs were done quickly and affordable.
Chris and Jeremy do great work and I tell people to go there when they need service! Don’t bother calling around to other places — just call Pearce :)

Lets face it, mechanics are expensive. Thats why its important to know you can trust your mechanic. I have used Pearce for many years to work on everything from my girlfriends old saab to my Ford and Dodge trucks. He is honest and does a good job and backs up his work. In one word: Integrity. I used to have to take my wife’s mini to the east bay to have it sercviced because I could not find local, competent mechanics willing to provide good service at a fair price. The shop was professional, timely, detailed oriented and priced fairly. Yes, (insert your favorite name) there is a fair and competent mechanic here in Santa Cruz.

Chris and Jeremy were very professional and most importantly very honest. I left my Saab there to get the 60k maintenance and have a few minor things done. They kept me up to date with phone calls on what they were doing and what my options were. This was definitely the best experience I have ever had at any mechanic/​performance shop. I live down in Monterey and happily make the commute to Santa Cruz for the quality of service and attention to detail. The prices were great and they even provide coupons on their website
