Best customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. Talal was helpful on the phone when scheduling the appointment, taking the time to assess my problem and letting me know how to be prepared for the appointment. Mo came out here and explained everything to me in a way that was clear and understandable– I have a whole new appreciation for my garbage disposal and dishwasher, thanks to the education he provided. He was courteous, thorough, outstanding. When I needed a follow up visit on an tangentially related issue, they didn’t even charge me for the 75 minutes they spent addressing it. Thank you, Mo and Talal.

I went to call back a plumber I used long ago here in the Santa Cruz area, but thought… what the heck, let me check Unilocal.Well, I found out by their recent Unilocal reviews this former plumber was probably not someone I should call.
I then checked around Unilocal and discovered the great reviews for Expert Plumber and reached out to owner Talal Dakkak. Talal promptly replied and was kind enough to fit me in to his already full schedule.
He came by today and impressed in all ways. Talal’s professional, friendly and delivered excellent service at an awesome price! Even my wife was super impressed and that is saying something!
Thank you Talal. Count me as a satisfied customer and a future client. I’ll never hunt for a good plumber again. I found a great one!

In a world where people don’t call you back it was so refreshing to talk to Talal. He was very responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful over the phone.
Our tankless water heater was leaking over the holiday season, and Talal was great in coming as soon as he could to check out the problem. He gave us an honest answer about our choices, and when all was said and done we had him replace our tankless water heater and we couldn’t be happier!
It’s nice to feel like you have people you can trust.

We are very satisfied by the work done this week by Expert Plumbing. Our clogged kitchen drain pipe needed snaking, and we decided to have a professional plumber replace the faucets on two bathroom sinks.
Talal, the owner, is an excellent communicator, arrived on time, and gave detailed estimates for each job. His brother Moe competed both jobs efficiently, answered our questions knowledgeably, and carefully cleaned up afterwards. As well as being friendly and polite, both Talal and Moe wore disposable overshoes inside our house. For us, that’s a first.
Our satisfaction is such that we will definitely call on Expert Plumbing in the future.

This is the second time I contacted Expert Plumbing for work I needed done. I have had bad experiences in the past with plumbers so I am ecstatic to have found one that I trust. Talal called me back immediately and came the day after I noticed my leaky water heater. His communication was stellar, the price to replace my water heater was reasonable and he was careful and clean. (I have new carpeting near the water heater). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

These guys were the most unprofessional morons that they actually resorted to lying on here. First lets start with the fact that they quoted me a time of arrival of 10am and showed up an hour and a half late. After the moron comes into to look at the faucet that was barely working beats it with a hammer for 30 minutes then tells me he has to set outside to make a phone call and never returns. I waited an hour thinking he went for lunch, then called the office number and what a surprise no answer. Terrible communication and completely unprofessional they wasted my entire day. They call back at the end of the day only after I post the Unilocal review to cry that they think its unfair and there was a miscommunication. If you want your time wasted by 2 creepy losers who clearly have no idea of what they are doing, these are your guys. Avoid them! They claim I was the only one not satisfied if that’s that case where was the other post saying they did a great job from,“the other tenet” or the landlord? These guys are sad liars.

Three times we have asked Expert Plumbing come to our house. Each time, they responded to our call soon after we called and came the same day. They assessed the problem, gave options and estimates, clearly explained the problem to be solved, and fixed it. There are two men who do all of the work, and they are fast, thorough, very considerate, easy to understand, and fair. Once, Talal came by to check something and did not even charge us. Their rates are super reasonable, and they are both a pleasure to work with.

I should have done my homework before having the sales guy come by. He sold me a water heater (made USA) that I could buy online with free delivery for $ 529.95, so he probably paid less for it. The total cost to me was $ 1400. Including the new hoses his parts cost with tax must have been about $ 600– $ 650. That means $ 750-​$ 800 for the install. Divided by 3 labor hours (actually took two) is $ 250-​$ 267/​hr. I figure I could have saved $ 300-​$ 400 if I had it to do over. Other contractors I later called estimated $ 1000-​$ 1100.
I have had contractors on 2 projects lately but never accepted the first «salesman in your living room» bid. I dropped my guard this time. With real estate prices skyrocketing the contractors see a fat hog to cut in the ass after every knock on the door.
Otherwise, if you don’t mind overpaying, these guys are fast and competent.

I found Expert Plumbing through Unilocal and every five star review was right on. I had a pretty small project to replace a kitchen facet but, I needed it done quick and done right the first time. Owner Talal scheduled the job for the next day for his brother Moe to complete the installation. Moe completed the job in less then an hour and left the job site clean and neat. Moe even brought several replacement facets for me to select from as I mentioned I was short on time and wouldn’t be able to pickup the facet. Talal stopped by later the same day to inspect the installation and verify I was happy with the work. The price was very reasonable and service exceeded my expectation.

Expert Plumbing is as good as it gets on so many levels. Talal, the owner, is an excellent communicator and extremely responsive. He details the problem and what it would take to fix it, and the cost. This is a very kind, nice gentleman.
My situation was awful. In our commercial location, both women’s toilets were not operating properly, one dramatically overflowing everywhere, and the other one wouldn’t flush the waste. Needless to say, the women around here were extremely unhappy. We’ve had a revolving door of «plumbers» or folks who call themselves that, but Talal and his brother were the only real plumbers we’ve seen. They viewed the pipes running from the building out to the street, ascertained that they were clear. The problem was in the innards of one of the toilets – replaced with new stuff, works amazing. The other toilet was pre-​civil war vintage. Talal got us a reasonably priced replacement that day from his supplier, installed it that day.
The women around here are dancing. I appreciated how quickly Expert Plumbing responded to us, their rapid diagnosis and professional way they fixed it. The problems, plural, went away and have stayed away.
This is a fantastic plumber.

We found Talal through Unilocal because of the reviews he’s received. After two appointments with him to fix a pair of annoying leaks and a damaged garbage disposal unit, I have to join with the same.

I’d like to recommend Expert Plumbing for your next plumbing emergency or scheduled job.
Recently I made the mistake of calling a larger plumbing company for a quote on replacing two faucet sets in my master bathroom. When the plumbers arrived, they stomped through my bedroom and into the bathroom in their dirty shoes for a look at the requested replacement work. After conferring with their main office, they presented me with an outrageous quote for the job. When I told them how ridiculous I thought it was, they said they’d check again with their office. Moments later they came back in with a quote that was over $ 100 less and still, in my opinion, outrageous for the scope of work required.
After dismissing the big company boys, I looked on Unilocal,located the highly-​rated Expert Plumbing and scheduled an appointment. When Talal and his brother arrived at the scheduled time, I was immediately impressed with their professionalism, courtesy, and the way their took the effort to cover their shoes before entering.
The quote I received from Export Plumbing was very reasonable, and the work they performed was excellent. Talal even offered some suggestions about future faucet replacement, should the need arise, that could reduce installation costs. I will definitely call Expert Plumbing again when I need any plumbing work done.
I’d recommend you do the same. I don’t believe you will be disappointed.

We have a very complicated central home heating system which is tied in with our hot water heater. Basically, the hot water heater heats the coils in our central heating system in the house. Sounds neat, ha? Nope, it’s not. When the hot water heater goes out so does the house heating system. And to top things off, the company that made these systems is no longer in business. So it is virtually impossible to find a replacement water heater. Well, I’m so glad I called Talal with Expert Plumbing.
Talal found a water heater that was compatible with our system and installed it within a day of calling him. He is by far the best plumber I have ever experienced. He doesn’t make promises he can’t keep, he shows up when he says he is going to and he is very courteous, something I have found lacking in many service industries in Santa Cruz. The work was top-​notch. Very nice welds, quality materials, and no mess to clean up afterwords.
The day after we installed the system I noticed that the house heater wasn’t working as well as it had prior to installing the system. Well, I called Talal and he was here within 20 minutes! As it turned out, there was no problem with the system. It was just a setting issue. Regardless, Talal spent half an hour at my house examining the system and then showing me how to dial in the heating controls.
The next day, Talal called to make sure everything was working to our satisfaction. It is rare to get that kind of service.
I am glad we found a plumber we can truly trust in Santa Cruz. Support a local small business and give Talal a call when you have a plumbing issue. He will not let you down.

My husband and I just purchased a home in Boulder Creek, and right away we had problems with the water heater. Expert Plumbing was the first business I reached out to because the Unilocal reviews were so great. My husband called, and they came out as soon as they could (fitting us in) because they understand how cruddy it is to have ice cold water — especially in January.
Talal was thorough, and even though he was fitting us in he spent a considerable amount of time making sure that all options were explored. Not only was our water heater not working properly, it was also located in a very odd place that didn’t provide proper ventilation. Once we decided on a new and more appropriate location we moved forward with Expert Plumbing to fix the diagnosed problems.
We did have to wait for an appropriate water heater to come in due to the location we had to move it to (required a specific venting system that is not normally kept in stock). As soon as it arrived Expert Plumbing came out and got it installed and removed the old, broken water heater.
They do great work, they are incredibly kind and professional, and it is always encouraging when the business owner is also there doing the heavy lifting. These guys take pride in their work, and it shows in the final product.
My husband and I highly recommend them, and will definitely be using them for any future plumbing needs.

Talal is the most professional service provider in Santa Cruz. Probably should be nominated for Small Businessman of the Year! He was very responsive, articulate, professional and uses modern technology for communication and invoicing.
He came after hours to assess the job (water heater leak/​replacement), and was onsite the next morning by 8 am to replace it. He has a great personality and wonderful customer satisfaction-​focus. Refreshing experience in a stressful situation.
