I am a retire registered architect and was the principal of my own firm specializing in residential architecture for 30 years. I believe the environment in which we live affects our emotional and mental well being. I have now transfered all my design and organizational skills from architecture to helping people get organized.

I truly enjoy helping people create the environment they will love and thrive in as well as working with my clients to help them achieve their goals.

Pamela grew up on the east coast but moved to Chicago to study architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology, where she earned a B. Arch. She lived, raised her daughter and worked in the Chicago area for the next 32 years.

Pamela moved to Santa CRuz in 2013 to be near her daughter an escape the Chicago winters.

Calm, Cool and Collected was founded in 2014 to continue her passion for helping people make the best their homes.

Pamela is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers.

Her other interests are making jewelry, dogs, enjoying this beautiful area and her family.

It is so hard to put into words what working with Pamela has done for my home and my peace of mind! Pamela came into my life and methodically went through my entire space clearing out, organizing, and making sense where there was none. Having a husband, two kids and a dog we had accumulated a lot of stuff! Now my home is a place where I can breath. My bedroom is a place I like to be now instead of just the place I sleep! It has been years since I felt this way. Pamela changed the way I looked and thought about «stuff». She is professional, knowledgeable and kind. This was the best thing I have ever done for my home, myself and my family. Everyone has felt the benefit of Pamela’s organizational skills! My home looks great and runs much smoother! Calling Pamela of Calm, Cool and Collected was the best thing I ever did! We have a large house with way too much stuff and Pamela helped us pare down, and get organized in a way that was easy, non stressful and kind of fun. Pamela helped us go through a very large room filled with crates of stuff that had been rapidly stored, when a 150 year old oak tree came smashing down on our garage.
What I love about Pamela is she’s so straight forward and calming and I think she’s part marriage counselor too! She managed to keep things between my husband and I very calm when he said he wanted to deep something and I say «But why?». I just love that about her.
Pamela never forced us to get rid of anything. She did however help us reason through why we should or should not keep certain items. When she presented it in that way, it made sense to us to either keep it or toss it.
I also love that she will take items to Good Will and Grey Bears for you. What a service. Well worth every penny we paid. I also love that she is a retired Architect. She has a way of looking at space that is totally different than us. She was able to help us turn spaces into sensible storage and very usable spaces.
You cannot go wrong by hiring Pamela, she is totally Calm, Cool and Collected and you will be too when you are finished working with her.

When I contacted Pamela with Calm, Cool & Collected she actively listened to my organizational needs and seemed excited to start the project. My wife and I live in a small house and our possessions just barely fit. Our small living room has always been an awkward place to host guests; we could accommodate 2 guests tops, but it never felt right.
Pamela was quick to measure the Living room space, adjoining rooms, and all the furniture therein. Soon thereafter she showed me the floor plan she had worked out by modeling the space and playing with all the possibilities. We went with her design and now we have hosted parties of 12 people comfortably. Everyone who has seen the space before and after has marveled at the transformation. I have heard people exclaim, «This doesn’t even feel like the same place» and, «Wow! It’s like an actual room now!»
What was really incredible is that Pamela was able to help the flow of our entire house including the adjoining bedroom. She was also able to identify a handful of things that we had been holding onto, that were not being used, and were no longer contributing to the household. I can now breathe easier in my home, and I am no longer anxious when I invite people over, because my home is now warm and inviting. Thanks Pamela!
